we stayed here as part of a group visiting the city and famous Terracotta Warriors museum. The hotel was located with convenient taxi rides to downtown. The hotel building and general structure is reasonably new and very comfortable. The front desk staff very professional, helpful and fluent in English. The rooms were very spacious and well furnished. The bathrooms very equally clean and well furnished with clean fluffy towels. The restaurant was also nicely laid out with good variety of food suitable for vegetarians too. Definitely a 5 star hotel to stay in.
Pro: spacious rooms, good breakfast, supportive staff. Affordable price. Location just 10 minutes from City center by taxi. Really nice breakfast. Con: Nothing particular to complain about Summary: an absolutely fair and good deal, we stayed there with our 2 boys (3 and 5) in a standard room with 2 queen beds. A Children bed was for free and so we had really enough space during day and night. All expectations are fulfilled
This hotel is west of the tourist center, 15 minutes’ drive due to traffic. It is quiet and recently remodeled. The Gym is terrific with a 25-meter multi-lane pool and sauna. The breakfast is one of the best I experienced. That aid, the hotel needs to cater to the details. The room has a few surprises, e.g., the light of the bathroom cannot be switched off, and the weight scale does not work.
I recently stayed in this hotel with my mom for a short nostalgia break. This must have been one of the first 5 star hotels in Xian. If you are talking about the 5 star operated in the western concept, it is THE 5 star for old Xi'aners. We used to book our family guests in this hotel when I was a kid and we were living nearby. There was once my uncle got a presidential suite and those old boys including my papa have had a really good "Ma Jiang" night after we left... Anyway, back to the topic, this hotel is not really to the good modern standard. The ceiling is extremely low, you may feel a bit depressed. The room we have got should be non-smoking. But it does have hints of smoke, or smell due to the age of the property? The staff at the executive lounge was not all friendly. They kind of scrutinise you the moment you came in. My mom has recently broken her ankle and has to get her feet padded up whenever sat down. The staff there did not show any sympathy at all and made it really difficult for us... I can see where she is coming from, but it really isn't the service of a 5 star hotel. The majority of the staff was helpful, of course. Breakfast was good. Because it is a place full of memory, I am giving it 4 points out of 5. Otherwise, it might be 3...
The staff of the hotel was very helpful, although the language difference was a problem at times. I had the hotel send a car to pick us up at the airport. We were upgraded to a suite because of platinum status, but it was not one of the newer suites which I would have preferred. The hotel is not located close to shopping or restaurants, so a taxi is required to get to different areas. There is a restaurant in the hotel which we used for breakfast. We had access to the Executive Lounge, so ate there. If I were to stay in Xian again, I would choose a hotel with a better location.
We stayed only 2 nights on a tour but were happy with the cleanliness, size and amenities of our room. Apart from the room smelling like smoke which I understand the hotel is trying to address it was comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of food, we really enjoyed this. We would recommend the hotel.
From entering to leaving the hotel it was a fabulous experience and most friendly and polite staff. Respected as a platinum member, room upgraded to executive floor. Executive Lounge is spacious with great view of the great pagoda. Evening happy hour is 6 to 8pm with a near buffet choice of foods, excellent, one of the best choices seen. The hotel is sited about 10mins walk from the tube, pleasant walk through the park. Perfect location for staying south of city. The hotel has a great decor and something special. Its only 4 floors high. Definitely stay again
Stayed for three nights at this hotel and were treated personally, professionally and very friendly. The room has a special style which you either like or don't. Ideally located near the wild goose pagode.
We recently stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to China. It was very clean and the hotel was more than sufficient for our family of 4. These are "china" size beds. We had a room that had 2 full size beds, but they were not quite full size. My 13 year old son, ended up sleeping on the floor and I shared a bed with my 11 year old son. My husband slept in the other bed. The bathrooms were huge and and very clean. The front desk did not speak very good English, but that is what Google translator is for! My brother and his daughter were also traveling with us, and he speaks fluent mandarin. We ate breakfast in the concierge lounge each morning. What a nice selection. There was Chinese food and western style food for breakfast. Again, English is limited here. One gentleman working there was exceptional! He went out of his way to help us and to make sure all our needs were met. His name is Tony and he is from Lebanon. Thank you Tony for making our stay wonderful! One funny thing that happened to us, my husband wanted to know what time the pool closed. He picked up the phone and asked in English. No one really understood. 5 minutes later, someone showed up at the door. They did not understand what we were asking either. I had to speak into his phone, which translated what I said into Chinese. It worked! Thankful for modern technology!
Super Large Bed and we had a 3rd fold up bed put in he room. Still had room to move. Great Breakfast even with take away Coffee. First time we have had a good western breakfast in Taiwan and China travels.
