We stayed only 2 nights on a tour but were happy with the cleanliness, size and amenities of our room. Apart from the room smelling like smoke which I understand the hotel is trying to address it was comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of food, we really enjoyed this. We would recommend the hotel.
From entering to leaving the hotel it was a fabulous experience and most friendly and polite staff. Respected as a platinum member, room upgraded to executive floor. Executive Lounge is spacious with great view of the great pagoda. Evening happy hour is 6 to 8pm with a near buffet choice of foods, excellent, one of the best choices seen. The hotel is sited about 10mins walk from the tube, pleasant walk through the park. Perfect location for staying south of city. The hotel has a great decor and something special. Its only 4 floors high. Definitely stay again
Stayed for three nights at this hotel and were treated personally, professionally and very friendly. The room has a special style which you either like or don't. Ideally located near the wild goose pagode.
We recently stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to China. It was very clean and the hotel was more than sufficient for our family of 4. These are "china" size beds. We had a room that had 2 full size beds, but they were not quite full size. My 13 year old son, ended up sleeping on the floor and I shared a bed with my 11 year old son. My husband slept in the other bed. The bathrooms were huge and and very clean. The front desk did not speak very good English, but that is what Google translator is for! My brother and his daughter were also traveling with us, and he speaks fluent mandarin. We ate breakfast in the concierge lounge each morning. What a nice selection. There was Chinese food and western style food for breakfast. Again, English is limited here. One gentleman working there was exceptional! He went out of his way to help us and to make sure all our needs were met. His name is Tony and he is from Lebanon. Thank you Tony for making our stay wonderful! One funny thing that happened to us, my husband wanted to know what time the pool closed. He picked up the phone and asked in English. No one really understood. 5 minutes later, someone showed up at the door. They did not understand what we were asking either. I had to speak into his phone, which translated what I said into Chinese. It worked! Thankful for modern technology!
Super Large Bed and we had a 3rd fold up bed put in he room. Still had room to move. Great Breakfast even with take away Coffee. First time we have had a good western breakfast in Taiwan and China travels.
Visite in late August The hotel is run down and not well managed! Hardly anyone speaks English, especially at the reception. When I asked for a quiet room, they gave me a room with 4 large colling engines outside the window (diameter over 6 meters). Not really polite. The fomer Business Lounge was moved downstairs to a labyrinth of hallways and side romms. Not worth to pay the price at all. Children play in the Lounge with small bikes and run around. The rooms (not the cheapest I had) have no shower - have to enter the bathtub. Not really secure with a wet floor. The rooms are small. The cleanliness was good! English is difficuilt for them. This Sheraton is exactly what the present is - American companies such all the earnings out to the countries and do not invest in room updates, training and so on. This was my 4th stay there in the last 8 years! Room Tip: Go to another place, simple as that! Go to inside the wall. See more room tips I am a spc-Platinum member
It's very good value for money. Very clean, professional staff and a comfortable bed. Wifi works well as does the air conditioning. Pleanty of restaraunts close by as is a large shopping mall. I'll stay here again.
The hotel was great. Very clean . The staf was very helpful and very friendly. Their breakgfast was great - Western, Chinese, japanese and Korean. Everything was great. No complaints or problems. Would visit again.
Wonderful place in central location. The open area next to the hotel was nice for the vending wall. Quite many options to dine in the neighbourhood. Service was very good and so was the property. Chinese food I tried here was different than what you get in Beijing or Shanghai and was really tasty( on spicy side though) ....
I checked into the hotel and noticed first that my key cards did not work. After dragging my four bags back to the front desk, I was informed that the lock on the door was defective and the hotel staff had to let me in with their master key. I was advised to contact the front desk each time I needed to get into my room. That evening I adjusted the thermostat to 18C degrees to be able to have a good night sleep. That didn't work and I got maybe three hours of sleep due to the heat and sweating all night long. The following afternoon, I requested a different room and was given one. The keys worked but not the thermostat. I called a technician to the room and was told an hour later that for Chinese people the normal temperature is 23-26 C degrees. I explained to the hotel manager that I wasn't Chinese and I can't sleep when I'm sweating all over. He suggested I use a fan which they brought to my room. The temperature is still 23C degrees and my tee shirt is wet from sweat. The sad thing is this is an American brand hotel and I just realized why I prefer to stay at a Marriott hotel. I will never come to another Sheraton as long as I live. Hope I don't die from heat stroke tonight.
