The main electric fire pit doesn’t work. The paddle boards are extremely old and broken. Two didn’t even have fins impossible to use. The kayaks in the same condition. The rooms are well kept. Parking easy pool had a lot of bugs and debris in it, pool chairs were nice. The docks appear old and rickety .. It could be a really nice place but definitely needs some updating on the amenities.

The owners are great and accommodate anything we needed help with always a call away if the room needed anything! Kayaks and bon fire are one of the best amenities they have plus free fire wood my children and family were so happt with their stay will be booking again?!:)

Great place on the water

My group had an awesome time here. Cannot beat the location on the water. The owner even moved us to be closer to our group. The host is available and very friendly. Our group of 4 families are all pleased and plan to return next year. Thank you!

We stayed here on a 2 family vacation with our young kids. We loved the location being right on the water with a good view. The pool was fun and the kids got a quick out of that. We also enjoyed being 10 minutes or less to everything we wanted to go do and explore. Unfortunately, and this speaks to the Panoramic Villa, not the whole resort—but the place itself was a disaster. There was mold in the bathrooms and under the kitchen sink (where the pots were stored.) Our socks and feet were black from the dirty floors so I had to start having the kids wear their shoes inside. And my niece is a baby so she was crawling all over in the grossness…We also had to make several trips to Walmart to get supplies we needed, like a bathtub drain and a pack and play. I’ve never stayed at a hotel or resort that didn’t offer pack and plays, especially at this price point. The grill also needed to be fixed and took about 2 hours for them to finish. Oh also our bedroom door didn’t shut because the floor was uneven and we had no where to plug in our baby monitor or phones (near the bed.) I had to unplug the room light to plug in our sound machine because the outlet wasn’t holding the plug. If you need a place to stay for a lot of people, I wouldn’t recommend this place but you’ll survive. Definitely not family-friendly!

Downward Turn

I returned to Delton Oaks after a good stay in 2024. Our total stay was 5 days w/ my 2 kids. The grounds are great for the kids: pool, swing, play in the sand, observe the ducks, and cook smores over the campfire. Friday nights, they have music, and it's a nice vibe. My kids enjoyed playing with the other kids staying at the resort. The pullout bed needs to be replaced, you can feel the springs in the mattress. my son couldn't sleep on it. The bedroom is tight, but beds are comfortable. Would be nice if there were night stands, to place things. There are no hooks in the bathroom or by the door to hang towels, keys, bags, etc. Friday night the long-term maintenance man whose room was above ours played music the entire night and all we heard was bass. I spoke with the front desk, who was kind and said she'd speak with him about the noise level. Saturday night was worse, the resort is a pet friendly space, which isn't a problem EXCEPT when the dogs are barking non-stop throughout the night. the Long-term maintenance man, brought in 2 dogs and we were woken up at 2am to non-stop barking. I called the emergency numbers listed at the office window with no answer. My daughter had a big day on Sunday and needed to get some sleep, she resorted to sleeping in our vehicle. I went to check on her at 3:30am and 2 women came to the resort and walked into the man's room. I asked them to handle the dogs, they were rude and slammed the door. The owner has done nothing to make things right.

Great atmosphere! Friendly staff/owners and very accommodating. They had great recommendations to make our stay tailored for us. They organized a band and fire get together for all the guests which was really fun.

I liked the check-in process (they just put your key in the room) so there are no long lines waiting to get into your room. We stayed in March, which was the off-season, so there weren't very many people and it was quiet. We were on the first floor so we were able to park right outside our room which made it much easier to load and unload the car and get in the car to explore the Dells. There was a sheet of paper in our room which listed a couple rules for the property and also the checkout process. What wasn't clear was where to put the recyclables because I didn't see a recyclable dumpster, and also what to do with our key. So we ended up leaving the recyclables and the key in the room and just left the door unlocked. It would be nice if they could clear that up on the sheet of paper. The room itself was updated and it looked nice and was very cozy. There was a stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and coffee, refrigerator, and freezer. The beds were comfortable, except for the pillows, which were a little flat. But we had an enjoyable stay and it was nice to support a local small business rather than the corporate chains.
