my main complain is about the bad service from the male at the front desk and cleaner at night. I normally bring my computer to do some work while I am on vacation. Considering that I always travel with my wife and my little toddler. We added my mother in law in the room = working in the room is a nightmare. I went to the eating area, no one there. they literally kicked me out form the room and asked all the questions: what am I doing there? room number, last name. the guy at the front desk said, hey my guy needs this room for breakfast and I need you out of here (comment made at 3 am in the morning). There wasn't any please, or thank you for the request. the cleaner even told me come back to your room and do your stuff there. He came after 2 hrs of seeing me in the lobby area that I can go back inside if I want. long story short, I didn't come back to the room and stay in the leaving room. I just think if I am paying to use the facilities and I am using a common space to do work related stuff. I should be allowed to do it. If they dont want people to use the rooms = why they leave it opened and without any sign or something. not sure if the guy is the manager or something but he lacks customer service. I am indirectly paying for his salary.

Ok hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, compact, with a small kitchen, fridge, microwave and a sink. Not much around the hotel, but Polo Mall is only about 10 min drive from the hotel. Unfortunately, they had no king size beds or they said when we arrived so not much space for two adults and a child, but they have sofa beds. Not very comfortable. And what is it about 1/2 size pillows? It's a small thing, but this is the first time we had to use our own pillows, but people normally don't carry them around in case hotel has pillows size of a postage stamps. Come on management, time to buy some....

Well I'm sad to say this hotel has fallen dramaticly in quality including the staff caring. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years since it was built. I have been a huge supporter and raved about it on this exact site. When we were given our room on main floor, opened the door and was hit with moldy stank that didn't let me past the door. Notified front desk, while later house keeping showed up, agreed room stank, solution lots of heavy ir freshener? ?? This would not work for us, gave instant headache. Asked for new room, they moved us down hall same floor. Better less noticeably smelling, but still strong air freshener. We accepted, now getting close to being late to meeting with friends. That night was OK , but at just before 7 am . WOW! The staff I guess getting ready for day were very loud, banging these huge grey tubs on wheels into doorway and the wall in hall. It's like the only way to move them is by beating them off everything in there path. Then came shower time, and you guessed it, the moldy damp stank was back and with a vengeance. On checking out short time later and talking to girl at front desk about our concerns ( I mean we loved this place ), she was dismissive and uncaring, she did tell us to call the manager at home? If we wanted? During this the housekeeping "supervisor" asked what room when my wife gave room # she said "I hate that room". Guess our concerns were real but desk clerk didn't seem care. Sorry folks. Truely disappointed and dissatisfied.

When I booked this hotel, I thought paying a little more than Comfort Inn meant a better stay. My room was spotless, very comfy, even had a kitchenette. This feature might explain the higher price. but if you're a business traveller, and don't cook in your room, this feature is meaningless. Other than hearing my neighbors (side and above) using water, there's not much to complain about. If you're into kitchenettes, this one's pretty amazing. Even has dishwasher! I've seen better, I've seen worse. Depends on the purpose of your stay.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, our room was perfect nice and clean. The location is ideal with lots of amenities and restaurants close by as well as the Polo Park mall where you will find everything you need. Add to that very close to the airport and the price was reasonable.

Mainstay was clean and comfortable. The room looked like it had a fairly recent makeover. Bathroom was good. Instant hot water, recessed out shower curtain was convenient. The only annoying feature was the sound of a baffle on the roof flapping through the ceiling fan aperture. But someone must have mentioned it because it was fixed on the final night. Our room was at the end of the 3rd floor which meant it was pretty quiet. But we could hear shuffling and footsteps above us. The breakfast was good overall. We appreciated a hot breakfast. The sausages were very good. Scrambled eggs and pancakes were ok.

We stayed there the Family Day long weekend. The hotel was busy and the parking was very busy. The hotel was easy to find and it has good access to all attractions in Winnipeg. Despite how busy the hotel was, we didn't hear a lot of noise from other hotel rooms or people walking around the hallway. The hotel internet was great too. It was still very fast and reliable. Again, there were a lot of people staying there that weekend. I would stay there again for sure considering we get CAA discount.

We received excellent customer service from the front desk staff and the shuttle driver upon check in -the week prior. We were able to keep my van here and avoid airport parking. Then excellent customer service again (when we returned from vacation) from the shuttle driver and a girl named Shallon -who offered to get my children some breakfast items (after the designated hrs were over) as we had slept in due to a red eye flight. I'd return in a heartbeat. Very spacious, nice, clean, modern, and safe hotel.

We were upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable and clean. We were flying out in the morning and it was great to have a place to leave our car and to have transportation both to and from the airport. Staff were always ready to help. This was our first time at this hotel and we would definitely stay again.

Mainstays is where my partner and I usually stay when we come into Winnipeg. The lobby and the staff are very welcoming and the rooms are always cosy, clean, roomy and very comfortable. Noise level from surrounding rooms and the hallway is minimal, the most comes the street outside but it's barely noticeable. Having a kitchenette is a nice option, and I like that there is a bit of separation between the kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom instead of having everything in one big open area. The bathroom has tons of room to move around in and doesn't have that 'grimy' feel that some hotels tend to have. The bed is very comfortable, and I've always had a good sleep when staying at this hotel. The free breakfast in the morning is really good too. It is a little on the pricey side, but the quality of the room and the free breakfast and location to many of city's amenities make up for it.
