We were upgraded to a room with a river view at no extra charge, which we appreciated. Loved the dual walk-in rain shower and modern open design of the room. The only negative would be the $12/night parking fee, which we felt was a little much considering the room rate.
We live in Victoria, BC. This is the second time we have stayed at the Mere Hotel. The location is central and convenient to so many places of interest......the Museum of Human Rights, the Forks, downtown shopping, the Market area of Heritage buildings, galleries and restaurants. The rooms are sleek, modern and very comfortable. Bathrobes, Nespresso machine, mini bar stocked with wine and beer and complementary snacks and water are included. If coffee is not your thing call for a kettle and a few minutes later a tray is delivered with a kettle, mugs, milk and an assortment of teas. We love this hotel and will be back.
Loved the modern design and location. Each room had a Nespresso machine and was very clean and spacious. Located next to the waterfront, the view was nice and it was central enough to make travel downtown a ten minute walk. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
The mayor hotel is beautiful. It's clean, quiet and super modern. It's a short walk to the forks on a pretty path. I think it's a really great value for the money. Can't wait to stay with my family again next summer!
We stayed at the Mere Hotel for one night. The location is great, close to restaurants and cafes, and close to the Forks. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and eager to suggest dining locations for the evening. After the check-in, staff called to see if we needed anything in our room. Wonderful service - will definitely be back!
We have stayed at the Mere several times when we visit Winnipeg and are always very happy with the service and rooms. On this trip we learned of the Mere's new bike rental service and that was another great reason to come back next time.
We picked this hotel due to the location near the river. The photos are accurate; very modern and the rooms are spacious. Front desk was very helpful; unfortunately they couldn't exchange US currency on a Sunday due to low funds. Everything in the mini fridge (water, juice, snacks) is complementary except for the alcohol. After a long drive, this was most welcomed. Note regarding the location: the hotel is on the edge of the riverwalk development. It's a 20 minute walk to the forks market. About a ten minute walk to the square to get to the fringe festival. The area felt deserted for a Sunday afternoon. New to the area, we were a little uncomfortable. Yes, Cibo's is a great place to relax and have sips and meals. But that's the closest thing to any activity in the immediate area.
Comfortable and stylish one night stay while traveling for work. Efficient check-in. Amenities in room were of high quality. Received call from guest services shortly after settling into room to check if everything was in order- nice touch. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Great view of the Red river and Cibo restaurant. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
Great hotel on the river next to a great restaurant experience at Cibo! Great rooms, very comfortable with great service for a fantastic price! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great boutique type Hotel downtown!
Great location in the Exchange District, right near the Red River and a short walk to The Forks. Next to Cibo Restaurant (nice except if you want dessert). Coffee (Nespresso), juice, and snacks complimentary at the hotel. We hope to come back soon!
