First of all construction woke us up just before 8am . I had worked on the road for 18 days straight and flew to wpg from BC the night before to meet my wife for our anniversary . Like mentioned before it was my only day to sleep in a little but the loud drilling almost made me jump out of bed . When checking out i mentioned it to the front desk and tried to get a discount on my room because $300 is pretty steep especially when construction is happening 30 ft away but she just said she would talk to manager and they might reimburse part of the cost . Also the fact that the room still has cable tv is out of this world . Its 2025 , these rooms need to have netflix , we couldnt find anything decent to watch and ended up watching a movie on our phone . .

Clean - room was perfect - didn’t get to use the restaurant but it looked good. Receptionist was not welcoming (why act like I’m bothering you - do your job), but when checking out the other gal was friendly. All in all, I’d probably return but we enjoy staying at a different place each time and it was a 20 minute drive to wherever we went.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Was quiet, no noticeable traffic noise. Hotel was under construction for expansion but didn’t bother or affect us at all. Restaurants within walking distance, Outlet Mall essentially across the parking lot, separated only by a small service road. IKEA is across the street, plus a lot of other stores.

The location is great close to outlet mall, IKEA and zoo. We’ve stayed here a few times but this most recent time I was disappointed with their service. We requested ahead for ours and my mom’s rooms to be next to each other. They asked for the name on the other booking but then when we had arrived they didn’t have this arranged. We also called ahead for an early check in and they said that would be fine but then they were just figuring out what rooms were open after we got there instead of having this organized ahead of time. We had paid for breakfast through Expedia and I had forgot. They never asked until the second morning for our room # at breakfast so they charged us for breakfast the first day when it should’ve been included. They never reviewed any of that info on arrival or gave us details about pool, breakfast etc like they normally do on arrival. The other issue we had was at 3 AM our smoke detector battery died and started saying “low battery” every couple minutes. My husband went and told the front desk. They scrambled to find some batteries and at first gave him the wrong ones and then gave him AA’s from a bucket and after coming back up and trying them, my husband found out they were dead. He then removed the unit from the wall and had to take it back down to them. This woke my kids up and us in the middle of the night. No apology was provided from the staff for this disruption. So as much as I’ve liked this hotel in the past, I think we’d look elsewhere.

Much work needed.

My children and I stayed for two nights as a staycation. We were disappointed to learn the hot tub was not working. The colour discrepancy in the water between the hot tub and the pool was alarming. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. But not as bad as the pillows, which should all be burned. They are under renovations to add more rooms to the hotel but they need to maintain what is already there properly before they expand.

Place is under heavy construction so parking is poor, area is loud, and hallways are freezing. We never did get keys to our room the entire trip. Staff had to let us in with their key and didn’t bring cards up like they said. Room is small and dark. Definitely wasn’t able to work in this type of ‘business’ room. You can hear lots of adjoining noise as walls must not be very sound proof. If the room was $150ish a night it would have been okay but paying over $300 now in Winnipeg is ridiculous. When we brought up the cards Not being received in the morning we were just given a blank stare. Won’t be returning.
