Travelodge is basic but affordable! this hotel left me speechless!!! Dirty, over priced, in desperate need of re-furnishing! The room was so tiny me & my son were touching each other in our single beds! There was a horrible damp smell in the room & the prices & service (or non existence of bar staff was atrocious) Never again!!!!!!!!!!

Have been staying at this hotel whilst working in Swindon. Great hotel, very clean and staff are brilliant - Jorge especially - always smiling and attentive. He has a good sense of humour and can be very funny! Selina on the front desk also very helpful with great personality. Good food too in the restaurant or you can eat in the bar area. Very reasonably priced. Rooms fine, a bit basic but comfy beds and not noisy at night. Bathroom fine also - clean. Each time I have stayed have had bath and shower over. Good for parking - and its free! Easy to find. Good price for rooms. If I had to say a negative it would be that you have to pay for Wifi - whilst this is not too expensive £3.00 for 24hrs (not very reliable though)- I do feel in this day and age that Wifi should be standard and free. Thanks to all the staff, cleaners, chefs, waitresses front of house etc.

I have been staying here regularly for 18 month and have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful; nothing seems to be any trouble for them and any problems are addressed immediately. The facilities are good with, wifi, free parking, bar, restaurent and the hotel and rooms are always clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for all the basic facilities of a hotel at a reasonable price.

An OK hotel, with very small rooms, enough parking spaces and quite pricey breakfast; 6 pounds for continental (breads, croissants and spreadables, not much) and 8 for cooked(OK,but not the best), which add an extra charge of £1.5 for 2 people (probably for VAT charges). Not satisfied even that it was for 2 nights only. As I said, rooms are too small so bare that in mind when you are going on a business trip with a colleague; too close!

Stayed at the Camponile a few times and food and service has been excellent. Katrina on reception and Jorge in bar/ food are always very helpful and will go the extra mile for their customers.. Excellent all round value.

I've been here on several occasions with work both in small and large groups. I stay here because it's walking distance to the office and it's good value for money. Never had any problems and everything is straightforward, very welcoming. Jorge has been here on most if not all of the occasions and is a great example of good, friendly customer service with a smile. Some bigger hotel establishments would do well to have him on their staff, he's very capable. On this visit he and Paulina looked after the restaurant and were great. Compliments to the chef too for a perfectly cooked medium steak served on a hot plate so you need to get that one right cause it sizzles and cooks longer when sits on the hot plate as you serve it. Every time I'm here it's always busy mostly with people like me on business. So it must be doing well to keep ticking along.

If you expect a four star hotel you will be disappointed. If you want helpful staff and a friendly welcome for four legged guests as well as two legged then this is the place. Our room was basic but adequate and nicely presented. The hotel is on a business park and clearly aimed at travellers on business and on a budget. My wife, who is a bit picky, slept well (as did I), declared the bed comfortable and breakfast delicious (I agree). We would certainly use this hotel again.

The campanile failed to deliver an environment where I could enjoy a good nights sleep. Lets not judge the place by its location or external appearance, there are defiantly worse hotels in Swindon on both these criteria. Its an uninspiring building at the back end of a business area. The hotel seems to have a bar, and a restaurant that you are invited to book a table at, given how close it is to the wonderful Weighbridge I declined the invite. Checking in takes forever, one lady has to process everybody, and recite several rather long speeches, by the time you get to the front of the queue, you have learnt the words too. The bar staff look on, I guess hoping one of us gives up the queue and orders a drink – how about stepping three paces to the left and help process the queue ? The room is clean, here endeth the good points. Its way too hot, the heater having been set to max by the cleaner. The bed is uncomfortable, the pillows thin, but much less thin than the duvet. The TV – I'm lost for words. The shower is not thermostatic, and the temperature varies wildly as other people use water. The worst bit is the lights, very harsh, and badly positioned, I found the bedside lights uncomfortable to have switched on. If you like your room to look like an Ikea kids bedroom, you will enjoy this place. The noise in the room is totally unacceptable, you can hear conversations in other rooms, you can hear the traffic on the road nearby, and every time the lift runs, you get to enjoy that too. The place advertises rooms at 160.00 on a sign behind reception, you can get rooms on-line at 40.00 thinking you are getting a bargain – you arn't. The best bit, your credit card gets a 2nd workout when you try and use the WiFi.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS - YES Located in at the end of an industrial estate cul-de-sac, the hotel has all the appearance of a functional hotel low on aesthetics. Indeed the Campanile is one of those European (French in my experience) mass-produced ‘lego’ style hotels (the green of the room’s plastic fittings is wholly unappealing), which like an elderly example of Citroen's eponymous Deux-Chevaux didn’t quite fire on both cylinders in synch. The lego-style concept has not, in terms of price reflecting the build-quality, made a wholly successful transition across the channel. Breakfasts are a substantial £6 extra (the full English at £2 on top of the Continental price is best-value for money). The machine-made coffee is surprisingly good. Watch out the for lack of soap in the bathroom dispensers and the irritating self-closing windows. Don’t keep your key-card in the same pocket as your mobile phone. The latter negates the magnetic strip of the former. The best aspects are the welcoming, helpful and friendly staff at the reception desk.

The receptionist was great- she got us a cheaper deal than if we'd booked through booking.com I saved money being a single occupant. Breakfast free - small full English but nice enough. Lots of other choices, croissants, cereal etc. No comfy seats in bar area to relax in need the evening and the tv had football in both areas (including the restaurant) quite a soulless hotel for having a nightcap. Not comfortable to read a book or browse a paper. Not free wifi £3 for 24 hours on 4 devices. Room small but comfy bed. Good shower but the fitting in mine was loose. No decaf tea (there was herbal) and didn't provide hot choclate sachets as it was 'out of a machine.' Big to and tea and coffee in room. Quite far out of Swindon town but lots of free parking know site ( open to elements) good for business trip for solo traveller.
