Days Inn Wilmington Newark

We were visiting Longwood Gardens, Wyeth House et al and the hotel was convenient to these facilities. Not a fancy place to stay but certainly comfortable and the rates were reasonable. The hotel staff was quite friendly and the person handling the breakfast in the morning is a gem. Any complaints? Only one. The pillows are horrendous.

I stayed two nights in this hotel while traveling and visiting nearby. The location is generally convenient, close the highway and lots of shopping. Access to the parking lot is tricky, via a small, but busy shopping plaza. My room was comfortable and clean, with a refrigerator and microwave. There was no room guide, so I had to ask for help to navigate the television controls, and the remote wasn't very good (I think it was the movie remote and not the television remote). The shower/bathtub had some mild mildew stains and the drain was apparently clogged, since I was standing in ankle-deep water during my shower, and the tub took a half hour to empty out. The fan had a high-pitched whine. The hotel serves a hot breakfast every day, but the food is of poor quality and not appetizing. I also noticed that I was charged a daily vault fee and a movie fee, neither of which I used.

It wasn't bad, but a few things made the stay less pleasant that it could have been. The main issue is cleanliness, here are a few examples: -fridge was never cleaned out. There was rotten food and it smelled as soon as I opened it -under the bed looked like it had never been cleaned -there were a few bugs

Nive stay....fast check in, Chinese food, local grocery store , gas station, mall, you name it, within 5-10 min walking distance. Nice area to walk your dog. Breakfast needs works.

This Days Inn was worse than the one in Newark, it was totally filthy, the rugs were stained had to walk around in shoes, the bathroom had mold and stains on it and we had to put a towel down in the shower in order to take one.

Staff was friendly and check in was quick and easy. We got a smoking room because thats all that was left. Woke up with a headache from the nicotine smell. Woke up to a fellow guest being arrested. Not the classiest place but I guess you get what you pay for!

Room was clean service was excellent with a smile I would definitely recommend this hotel and its. Located in a awesome area near food places and Malls

This is our "go to" hotel when we are in the Wilmington, DE area, as we always enjoy our stay. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are simple but comfortable. They also feature a very good "free breakfast" should you choose that option. (The "breakfast lady" who helps out is simply the best, and every hotel could use someone like her!) The hotel is, however, in a VERY busy commercial location, but this can also be construed as convenient. You decide.

It's no frills. The bathrooms could use a serious cleaning, and the water pressure is almost non-existent. The beds are hard - so if you have back issues that might be an issue for you. The balcony in front of the room feels like it's about to fall off. The staff was very friendly, which is always nice. I'd recommend to someone who needs a room on a budget. But if you have the means - you'd be more comfortable elsewhere.

very clean, awesome staff, god room service and hospitality

Hotel room was very clean, staff was excellent. Great experience for the price, the continental breakfast was also good! Would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect, near shopping malls, gas stations etc. Very nice for a single night stay in DE.

Was clean, the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was great and the overall experience as well.

Very cute place. Nice location. Staff very nice. No complaints here. They overbooked my friends reservation, only reason i give it 4 stars. They asked for 2 double, they got a sleep sofa and no spare cots. #sadface for them. We had a good time though.

When I first walked into the lobby I noticed the attitude on the desk clerk's face. He was very rude to the guest that were in front of me. He spoke to them as if they were idiots. When asked a question he came across very rude and annoyed. I found out the next morning that his name was Randall. When I booked the room through a third party I was given a total due at check-in of $69. When I arrived, the price was actually $77.02. Not a big deal, but with past reservations, third party or not, I've always paid the online price given to me. The hotel room was nicely upgraded, however, they must have ran out of renovation budget money because the bathroom was untouched. I believe it was the original tub and toilet from when the hotel was first built. They were both badly stained and should have been replaced years ago. I don'thave any other complaints about the room. Breakfast the next morning was a big letdown. They eggs were so watery. They had rice that looked as if it was leftovers from the cooks home and she just brought it in to work the next day. Who serves rice for breakfast? There was a spoonful of homefries remaining and it took too long for the next batch so I just had a banana and a yogurt. There were no meat options, but there was cereal, toast, and bagels to choose from. Checkout was fast and pleasant. Be sure to ask them to remove the safe rental fee from your bill. That was done with no problem. Overall, for the price I would stay again. My family would just check in during the day with the nicer staff and ask for a totally renovated room. As far as breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants in the area.

1 problem mins away from the mall and I traveled with a 13 yr.old daughter enough said lolol,I'm glad the price was right. Perfect place from where her party was...

My stay was nice , the office the staff is always friendly the rooms are always clean

No words to say. Please don't stay here. I booked for 3 days. But checked out within one day.

It was pretty good stay I would go back again an tell a friend.

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great price.
