My husband and I and my sister and I have been staying at this Marriott several times while visiting my elderly parents . All of the staff are so pleasant and helpful and they always remember us . The rooms are clean and comfortable . We have been upgraded a couple times and the suites are great . On our last visit , there was a small problem with our toilet and they instantly moved us to a suite ! We will continue to return when we visit the folks , the atmosphere is perfect . The GM Patricia Robinson is excellent , D’wayne and especially Odonna (forgive and misspells) who goes above and beyond to make us feel at home . Highly recommended !!! Julie D

I continue to stay at this hotel when my travels bring my husband and I to Delaware. Everybody is always so welcoming and more than willing to help. Justin helped us up to our room with the luggage cart as we never travel lightly. Tykeasha in the bistro was more than a gracious host, asking us about our travels while we sipped on our wine. The amenities that this hotel offers are unmatched compared to other hotels in the area. They offer a gift wrapping station in case you needed any Christmas gifts wrapped last minute. Entire staff from the restaurant to front desk and housekeeping were as friendly as can be. Will definitely be back on our next trip.

Hotel was near several restaurants. This hotel doesn’t have a continental breakfast but they do have an “oatmeal bar” and there is a bistro inside. The room was very clean & comfortable but they didn’t carry shower caps like most other hotels. The staff is phenomenal in making sure you have a nice stay. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff at this hotel greeted us with tidings of comfort and joy from the time we arrived to the time we left. They made our stay with our grandchildren very special. This facility is truly a feather in the Marriott cap. We highly recommend it. We will return again and again. We wish all at this hotel the happiest of holidays as they did for us.

My husband and I, who are Marriott Gold card members, went to Longwood Gardens for the Christmas display. It was the first snowfall so we were cold and wet when we arrived. We were greeted by Adonna, who was to check us in. Within moments of speaking with her we felt very welcome. She offered helpful and valuable information to ensure that our stay was the best it could be. The level of courtesy, caring and kindness she displayed to us would be hard to match anywhere else . We have been here before and will return!

I am a Marriott Platinum Elite member. Upon check-in, Janet immediately offered to help me load my luggage cart and took the cart up to my room, unloaded it and brought it back to rack. The front desk staff, Sue and other staff helped me find a room on top floor with balcony view of the woods. The First State National Monument can be entered on the side of the hotel. Plenty of inter-connecting trails for hiking, mountain biking and horse trails. It was very cold during my stay, but, it felt great to get out for a walk in the woods. Adannis and Dwayne were friendly and efficient. All of the staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to Concord Mall, restaurants and very close to PA border. One can walk to Fridays, Dave’s BBQ,Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Green Turtle to open in future. Grub and Bone Fish Grill in Concord Mall. Jasmine Sushi nearby and an Appleby’s. There is a nice hot tub in the pool area. Very relaxing if pool is empty. When kids are in pool, the noise can be deafening with a perfect echo chamber. The chlorine can be overpowering. The hot tub tiles need a good cleaning including grout. CONS: the rooms are small with tight spaces. The rooms are past due for renovations. Rocks are placed at doors in pool area ( maybe due to intense chlorine ) and at hotel side exits to prop them open. This is NOT a safe practice. The staff provides a gift wrapping station free of charge. Room was very quiet except for a man screaming at the top of his lungs at a woman in his room one night. It did stop after I called the front desk. Saturday am lots of noise including vacuuming all am. Super friendly, welcoming staff!

The staff at this hotel was absolutely wonderful and we'd stay again because of them! They were there to greet us and chat every time we walked in and out. The young gentleman at the "Starbucks" was also wonderful and friendly! The coffee and the breakfast was great and convenient. I can't say enough about how friendly and welcoming the ladies at the front desk were! For us this location was also great as it was close to our family and close the the airport, shopping, restaurants, etc! We were only in the hotel to sleep so I can't say anything about the amenities other than the wifi was free and worked well. For our preferences, we would have preferred a mattress that was pillow top as that is what we are used to and pillows that are extra firm otherwise the room was clean and comfortable and included a refrigerator. Also, if it's too warm in the hotel or you just want fresh air, you can open the balcony door to let some of the cool fresh air in!

We stay at this hotel at least 2 times every year, and unfortunately our most recent stay was disappointing from a amenities perspective. Perhaps it is under new ownership, but gone are the lobby treats like complimentary coffee and afternoon snacks. Staff remains very pleasant and strives to please. SHout out to front desk staff Adanna and Shaontae they went above and beyond to make sure all guests were happy.

The service and friendliness of this hotel was superior to any other hotel I have visited. I travel a lot for work, family and pleasure and was amazed by how welcome the staff made me feel and by the extra-special touches. My stay was over Thanksgiving and they provided free wrapping paper, tags and ribbons for all the Black Friday shoppers as well as free Starbucks coffee the morning after Thanksgiving. The front desk staff, housekeeping and the Bistro staff were very accommodating and the few special requests I had were provided in a very efficient manner. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable and the towels were the softest hotel towels I've every experienced. Thank you one and all, especially for working so hard and being so friendly on Thanksgiving Day! Also, if you are into hiking or mountain biking, the hotel is right on a trail that connects to other trails in Brandywine state park.

When I got here I asked if i could get an upgrade. I was told I was in an upgraded room with a balcony. It was a normal room and they all have balconies. The room is cluttered with furniture and very little room to move around. There are no luggage racks so you have to use the coffee table in the room for a luggage rack. I had two bags as I was on a multi city trip. The second I put on the dresser which covered the adjoining room. If you are disabled you could never get a wheel chair or power chair in this room. There was a hole the screen size of approximately 3 1/2 inches by 1 3/4 inches wide which explains how the moth was on the towels in the bathroom. I shewed it into the toilet and it would not go down! There were patches in the bathroom that looked horrible from leaks not properly repaired. The electrical outlet on the left side of the bed did not work at all. I did check that it was plugged in properly. Maintenance did come to the room and the outlet needed to be re-wired and the bathroom would take a day to repair. They were taking the room off line in the morning to do repairs including the screen which should have been caught by housekeeping doing an inspection. I called downstairs and got the sales person who tried to walk me (I'm platinum for life). There are financial penalties for doing this (big ones). I was not happy! Other then maintenance the rest I am very upset about. I got a note from the manager offering me breakfast and a beverage. I get these for free as platinum and even if I didn't I would expense this out as I am traveling on business. Other then maintenance no one cares! RUN don't walk. If I could have moved I would have!
