Just had a good two night stay. This property was a typical Courtyard by Marriott property. The front desk staff was very friendly. I loved that this property was quiet, about 2 minutes from Concord Mall, and within walking distance of TGIFriday, Famous Dave's, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster.
Visited here with my parents. Great service right from the start. As we were getting out of the car the staff rushed out with a trolley to help us with the bags. Check-in was super easy and through out the stay they couldn't have been more helpful. My parents were particularly appreciative of the recognition they got from the front staff every time we returned to the hotel. Can't thank the staff enough for this attention and I am sure my parents will remember our visit to Wilmington because of this. In terms of the actual accommodation- can't fault it. Clean, functional and very comfortable. Free parking and free high speed wifi - what's not to like. Location is a little remote, although there are many chain restaurants in easy walking distance and a couple of large malls. Great location for Winterthur and longwood - which is why we chose the hotel. If I every return to this area I will certainly use this hotel.
This property is everything you expect from a Courtyard Marriott. Room was clean. Front desk staff was very friendly. Starbucks coffee and light breakfast in the bistro. There are many restaurants in the area. No complaints about this property.
Lifetime Marriott Platinum Member: I've stayed here a few times now for work. Nice Courtyard. Clean and was kept clean during my stay. One thing that sticks out is how nice the staff is. Very accommodating and friendly. Keep up the good work! BTW- Amazing nature trail behind this Courtyard. Hiking in nature was a great way to end a day of business meetings.
Stayed one night with my son. The hotel has nice services like free popcorn and also good amenities like indoor pool. If they have time; they don't mind bringing ordered food at 1st floor to the room. The cleanliness of the pool and room were just ok so I couldn't give a better score in this review.
We had a great experience at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location for our group; there are so many options close by for restaurants and shopping. The property itself was very clean. The guest rooms were clean, but less updated than the lobby. I cannot say enough about the staff: they were helpful, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I wish the weather cooperated so we could use the outside seating and amenities more. I would definitely stay again. The only negative was a problem with a slow draining tub and a burned out light fixture over the sink which were reported but not fixed.
Stayed at this hotel during a snowstorm (They expected over 8" but thankfully we didnt get so much). However, the next evening when I saw my car (which I hadn't taken out all day) - was fully cleaned, thanks to the staff at the hotel. Was very unexpected and I was extremely thankful for it. The hotel staff are very friendly too. I would have given it 5 stars, however, the food wasn't upto par. Granted during the snowstorm I didn't expect food - but even the next day - the vegetarian options are next to nothing.
Reserved a 2 room suite & floor / carpet was wet & filthy. Our socks were black from walking on wet carpet. They moved us to another suite although not a separate 2 room suite which I purposely booked as my Mom goes to bed early & gets up at 4 and I go to bed late & don't get up till 9-10. I wanted/needed a separate room for bedroom & sitting room. The manager did give us one night free. That was nice & appreciated although it was a hassle to move & didn't have privacy we needed. Their is a hotel behind this one I should have booked. Looked much nicer & newer.
Recently had to make a short visit to Wilmington. Didn't need anything fancy. I was impressed with the very friendly staff & the clean comfortable room. Breakfast was not free, but the Bistro offered a very good selection at a reasonable price. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
We were heading home from Myrtle Beach and decided to make a stop here as we were going to The Franklin Institute the following day. This hotel was the right price compared to Philly Hotels and only about a 30 minute drive. We didn't have reservations but when I walked in the front desk gentleman was very accommodating. He asked if I was a Marriott Rewards member and brought me right up. He asked me how many beds and what floor I would like. He reviewed with me the hours of the Bistro and even whispered the pool hours so my kids wouldn't hear and give me a hard time. - Beds were very comfortable - Room was a great size - Air conditioning worked well - Boys loves the pool and hot tub. The pool temperature was very warm and comfortable. We were the only ones in the pool and had a lot of fun before hitting the road. - We even had a surprise visit from Elmo who was roaming the lobby area! *** Beds were super comfortable and I would recommend as a cost effective hotel for an overnight trip outside of Philly ***
