The home was very clean. The host, Jeremiah, was very responsive to our questions prior to our stay. We arrived late on Friday evening which probably was part of the issue. The home itself shares a driveway with the next door neighbor who stared us down as we pulled in. We unloaded the car and the neighbor on the opposite side of the home would continually have cars pull into the driveway or just shout from the street and someone from the home would come and have a short conversation through the window. This happened with at least 5 different vehicles. There were also multiple groups that walked past the home. We were going to be in town for 3 days with 5 small children so although this may have been fine for just adults, we absolutely did not feel comfortable having them all stay here. We ended up loading up the car and finding a different place to stay. I contacted the host who said it was a bummer, the neighborhood is really safe, the neighbor is a great guy, and when I explained the situation and told him we were leaving, he stopped all contact.
Again, the house was clean, it might be a great place for someone else to stay, but we did not feel safe with our family here.
