We stayed here spontaneously Christmas Eve night. We live on the East Coast but my parents are in Wichita, and we are planning a wedding there. One of our biggest concerns was finding a nice, newer hotel for our guests traveling from out of state. We decided to book a night here to check it out in cognito. We arrive late christmas Eve after our family celebration to a nice greeting at the front desk. The small lobby has recently been updated and is very comfortable. There is valet parking or a secured self-park garage next door (we self parked). Parking was pricey for Wichita at $12 a night. They upgraded us to a very large room which was newly renovated, spacious, modern, and comfortable. They also offered us unlimited bottled water. I loved the room. My only complaint is the heating vent was directly over the bed which became either too hot or too cold during the night and had to be adjusted. However, it was under ten degrees outside that night. We both used the gym the next morning which was very nice. Our rate included a complimentary breakfast at the Siena which was a beautiful restaurant and impressed my fiance very much. The food was cooked to order rather than a buffet which I much prefer. We will be contacting the hotel shortly for a wedding room block because we were very impressed with the hotel! I would recommend Wichita visitors stay here in town over any other property. As a plus it is walking distance to "old town" downtown.
After being stranded at the airport due to a cancelled flight, I was in desperate need of a room on New Year's Eve of all nights. I phoned the Ambassador from the airport and spoke with Connor and David who were professional, helpful and calming. Not only did they secure a room for me, but they dispatched the shuttle driver immediately to pick me up. The hotel is old elegant downtown blocks from Old Town. The rooms are modern and clean with comfortable beds, high end amenities in the bathroom, plush towels and a huge glassed-in shower. The complimentary shuttle back to the airport was greatly appreciated. Thank you Cathy for correcting a billing snafu at check out. This is the only hotel I would stay at while in Wichita.
The Hotel was very nice with a restaurant and bar in the ground floor. They have shuttle for Airport drops and pickup. you need to inform them in advance to avail the facility. Rooms very clean, tidy and well maintained accompanied by a common fitness room. They have a parking lot and a valet service as well. the experience has been very nice and i have stayed here multiple times.
I'm an avid traveler, and really appreciate the caliber of service you receive at the Ambassador. The Restaurant in house was exceptional. The server Dan hit every P&Q, and fulfilled the 5* quality they advertise. The rooms were spacious and suave, with a wonderful aesthetic ambiance. Conor at the front desk was a total riot. I would come back purely to visit with him again. Seeing that he may have been the only front desk agents I saw from December 22nd-25th. I'm glad he was able to keep such an optimistic attitude. Despite working through the Holidays. I don't know how much he earns, but it is not enough! Thank you Ambassador! I will absolutely be back!
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night and I couldn't stress how amazing it was!! As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the front desk man, his name was Conner, who was SO nice. He noticed our outfits (big ol wedding dress and tux) and asked if we had just gotten married. He congratulated us and proceeded to give us a VERY, VERY nice suit room free of charge! I'm not sure what room it was but I believe my husband said it cost $390 a night of which was waaaaay out of our budget of us poor, young newlyweds. ;) I cannot say enough good things about our stay here, 12/10 would recommend!
It is a really nice hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the room and hotel is very clean. We didn't get a chance to eat at the hotel, but it looked and smelled amazing. The free apple cider in the lobby was amazing! The only issue I had at all is the sliding bathroom door. It has a large shaded in glass piece versus a full door so although you can't "see" anything, you have the ability to see shading of figures, etc. With three teens this was NOT something that they liked at all. Other than that the staff was fantastic and the room was great.
Whenever I find an Autograph hotel in my destination city I know I can book with assurance that my stay will be a good one. The Ambassador Hotel in Wichita managed to exceed my high expectations. The lobby area and the rooms were spacious, well appointed and well maintained, but the friendly, professional service of all the staff really excelled. I can't think of any reason not to make this your hotel of choice. In addition, the great restaurant and on-site "speakeasy" give you little reason to venture anywhere else.
My review is all about being accommodated. From being picked from the airport by the Travanti Herring van driver/valet associate showed us much customer service willing to show us around being that i was Thanksgiving Day he took me around to find food i love the food at the restaurant however wanted something different. I spoke with Devin the supervisor and he just really wanted to make sure i was able to get the food i wanna showing me menus and looking for places for me to dine at. Thank you Alex at the front desk as i had so many questions and even though it was Thanksgivings Day im sure they wanted to be home with their family thank you soo much for still being dedicated to the brand of the Ambassador hotel Wichita Kansas Thanks alot
We stayed a night at The Ambassador. It deserves a Solid 5 stars, if not more! The service was fantastic from the moment we stepped foot in the lobby. The king corner rooms are beautiful. They are extremely large and have windows on 2 full walls making the view at night beautiful. It was very clean. The only thing that I could say it was very clean the only thing that I could stay in a negative light is at the pillows are not that comfortable. Apart from that, everything was perfect we will definitely be returning!!!
I travel a fair share but have not had such a pleasant stay in a very, very long time. My room was on the 13th floor facing downtown but very quiet, the room was huge with two queen beds a desk, coffee station, refrigerator, and reading chair. Plenty of space to be comfortable working for a week, wifi solid enough for online meetings. The bed was fabulous and comfortable, the towels thick, soft and plentiful. The thermostat in the room actually worked to control the room temperature. The front staff were very friendly and professional. I had dinner in the Siena restaurant, it was expensive but the beef filet was the star so flavorful and tender you could cut it with your butter knife. I would recommend this hotel with no reservation.
