Property in disrepair. Parking lot crumbling apart. Check in area had dirty windows and soiled walls. Dead worms and bugs on the floor in the bathroom. This property needs a make over, or be closed.
We rented a room for 2 nights. Tje room was run down but clean, and we had no issues the first night. Tje second night we had anotjer customer try to open our door repeatedly. We i informed him he had the wrong room he became beligerant and kept trying the door.. I tried to call the front desk only to find out the phones are nonfunctional. 5 minutes later the manager was beating on our door insisting we were squatters.. I went to the front offive with him, and showed him the receipt for the room payment, the reservation inf9rmation and the 2 still functioning keys for our room in the protective sleeve with the room number on it. After looking through all his paperwork he insisted we were in the wrong room. I AGAIN pointed out the 2 active keys issued to us with the room jumber on the sleeve and pointed out that tjos keys dont open ANY other doors at the hotel. He then apologized and dropped the subject. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else
Phone didn't work. Wifi wasn't provided. No conditioner in bathroom. Cable didn't work. Stained bedding. Breakfast ends at 9am!!! Ridiculous. Save your money & spend a few more bucks for an actual hotel.
I arrived to Wichita Falls and checked in. The front desk clerk wanted to give me a room with a double beds, which was not what I had booked. I had to ask several times to get a room with a king bed as I had requested when booking. The first room's deadbolt lock did not work properly, so I called the front desk and he came over to inspect. He agreed to change rooms, giving me the room next door. This room's electronic key did not work. I asked for a new key, but he refused. He offered instead to meet us when we got back from dinner to let us in. This seemed odd, but he would not make a new room key. Getting back after midnight, we stopped at the front desk and he agreed to meet us at the room to let us in. We waited for 10 minutes before he realized that was waiting for us at the wrong room. The rooms were clean, other than the insects that made their way inside the room after the sun went down.
This is the worst of the worst. We had a room that the door wouldn't lock properly, owner REFUSED to change rooms . We decided to leave Saturday, when I ask him to credit my card because I'm checking out he refused. When I told him I'd return the room key after I load my car, right in front of me he shut my room key off. I couldn't even get back into my room. I had to ask his wife to let me in the room and as she did he was coming across the parking lot yelling at her in their Pakistanian language. I knew he wasn't happy with her. Spend the extra money and stay in a nice , clean safe hotel because this hotel is not safe especially for women.
made reservation online, however the staff could not find my reservation. and they refused to honor it despite the fact that wyndham customer service asked them to. They eventually gave me a room @ a much higher price than my reservation was called for. Eventually filed a concern and when checking back on it, the customer service rep was very rude on phone. Very disappointed with wyndham and howard johnson. If this does not come to a satisfactory conclusion, would not recommend wyndham hotels or howard johnson.
They took the chains off the inside door and the deadbolt to room 210 is rigged so you can't lock your door. We got no sleep because someone would continue to try and open the door. We asked for a different room and he said nope, nothing wrong with the room. So when we decided to leave the Saturday he refused to credit back one night to my card . I know my credit union will put the money back . PLEASE ESPECIALLY YOU LADIES, spend the extra money and stay where you're safe. This place is a dump now that it's run by Pakistanis. He straight up dislikes women he can't control !!!!!!
Hotel was just fine they need to check the tv remotes for batteries and that the phone in the room works.
We recently stayed here after the HH100. After unloading the cars and checking in we noted the carpeting at the bathroom entrance was soaking wet. Have no idea how the cleaning staff could have missed this. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. We also had a problem with the reservation I had made with Rooms.com. I called mid afternoon to make sure they were keeping it open as we were going to be later than the 3:00 check-in time. They could not find the reservation but said it would not be a problem. When we did check-in the owner still could not find the reservation but indicated he would comply with it and would give us a good room. Glad he did not give us a bad room.
We attended and participated in the Hotter than Hell Hundred bike race. The rooms booked up very quickly and we had booked this one in January. All the hotels' room rates are jacked up for this event. We paid a lot of money for a dingy hotel. It served its purpose and the location was easy to access. It had a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The room and exterior were outdated and not kept up.
