nice but out of dated
Nice staff, fairly clean. The location was dirty and semi-industrial. The tv had the most basic channels, mostly home shopping and info stuff and the Wi-Fi did not work…at all.
Check-in was quick! A lot of dining options and a "stone's throw" from the west entrance to Yellowstone. The only drawback is that there are two separate buildings with limited parking.
Room was not cleaned, staff is very rude, we could’t connect to the wifi so we called the front desk but once he pickup the phone he hungup right away didn’t say a word , after 2nd time we hungup he didn’t even answer the call aymore. Very very very bad services, will never return
We had problems with outdated tv system, carpet dirty and bathroom floor had previous leak and needs replacement. The motel is old! However, room is quiet and bed pretty comfortable. No breakfast. Price for West Yellowstone is high, but this is least expensive....so there’s that👍
Every night had a giant beetle on the wall, no channels on tv to watch other than infomercials.
We enjoyed the lady that checked us in and gave us dining options.
Very easy to find, very close to Yellowstone national park entrance. Lady at the front desk very nice, courteous and very helpful.
Old
Fantastic location, odd hotel, split into too locations, "Dude" on one side of the street, and "Roundup" on the other side of the street. Dude appeared to be empty (the lady said it was "full") and Roundup was packed. Parking was challenging, but you can get around town on foot easily, so once parked. No need to move your car. Really nice place, we will be back.
The place is conveniently located at the center of West Yellowstone attractions..It’s walking distance to shopping establishment,Supermarket, restaurant,Visitor’s center,etc..
6/23/21- THE MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE. The Management was rude on the phone, and not understanding of the situation. The manager tried passing the buck onto Orbitz for overbooking when they couldn’t find our reservation. Turns out the manager mis-spelled my name in the reservation so the poor front desk girl couldn’t find it (Front desk clerk was the only part of the experience that was pleasant- though management needs to provide her more training with the system). After having to have a heated conversation with the manager over the phone, “magically” the reservation was found. Alt this point, all would’ve been fine, and we’d have a restful place to stay… even though the room was way overpriced for the quality. Buuuut, the pipes in the bathtub were screwed up (check valve maybe?) and flooded the bathroom when trying to take a shower! Maintenance was sent, but couldn’t repair right away. We immediately demanded a refund and had to drive 2 hours in the pitch dark back to Bozeman (entire town of West Y. Sold out) after driving 12 hours around Yellowstone all day. The hotel tried offering another room with 2 beds for 7 people… we most definitely declined. What truly upset me the most, was the manager never ONCE felt the stress on our family (74 yr old parents) and never accepted ANY blame, and NEVER once said, “I’m sorry.” She was unprofessional and very far from being empathetic. I will never stay in your hotel and will always steer people away when visiting Yellowstone NP.
The only positive that I can write about the Dude & Roundup is that the hotel was close to most attractions. At first site of the hotel I could only think "Oh, No! This isn't going to be good." After getting my room key and going to the room, the door was stuck and I had to put my shoulder into it to get it open. The room looked clean at first glance, but as my wife started wiping things down we realized that the room was extremely dirty. The carpet was so dirty that it turned the bottom of my socks black. The tv didn't work correctly so I tried to call the desk for help, but the room phone didn't work either. IThe room was very old and outdated. I was sick that I spent over $200.00 per night for this room. My suggestion would be to pay more and go to a nice hotel. This hotel has nothing to offer.
Very good place to stay for decent price. Half mile from west entrance of Yellowstone.
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again
Hotel was very clean, especially during COVID, but it is dated. This is why it's inexpensive. One nice bonus was that the room was bigger than typical newer hotels these days. Makes things much more pleasant when there are 2-4 people in the room.
I loved it was only a few minutes drive to Yellowstone National Park entrance. Beds were comfortable and good price for being so close to park.
