Our first Comfort Suites stay was a week ago and was a glorious experience so we gave the brand another try in West Memphis and it was even better than before. I really liked the decor here; it varied from our stay at another location in that it was country-ish with a touch of modern - an interior that emanates a Memphis vibe. Bed was 10/10 comfortable; there’s definitely some memory foam action happening somewhere below the sheets. Delicious next level complimentary breakfast with a premium sausage patty cooked the right way (not in a microwave). Breakfast buffet featured another rarity that got me excited - a heated container of real, non-instant, prepared grits. If you wake up too late for breakfast, there are plenty of dining options in close proximity. We had a great stay and are grateful for the fast and friendly staff. A+
Comfort Suites West Memphis was a great stay. The hotel is well maintained and the lobby is impressive. They had complimentary cookies in the lobby! Front desk staff was very nice. Great bathroom with fantastic water pressure. We stayed in a suite with a very comfortable queen bed and pull out sofa. They provided us with plenty of extra linens and pillows. Great indoor pool! Breakfast in the morning was awesome too! A safe and comfortable area made for a great nights sleep!
Good service, but like so many places in the South, staffing is difficult to come by. did not have towels until nearly 7 PM... Remodel underway. Food service quality/quanity was marginal. Older motel that has gone downhill; suspect a downgrade to a quality inn will occur soon
This was my second time staying here. I stopped by a month ago and decided to stay here again. It is a great place. This will be where I always stay when I'm here visiting Memphis. The breakfast is amazing, still a clean, and safe place that is so close to the highway which is one of my travel priorities. I like this because it's far enough back it's convenient but still Super quiet. The rooms are big and comfortable and the staff was really nice. I checked in on 15 Mar, at about 5 o clock, the lady at the desk was so nice. We stayed down at the desk joking for around 10 minutes. Excellent customer service. Great property. Thank you Comfort Suites.
We checked in Saturday night and had the pleasure of meeting the general manager. I believe her name was Sheri. What a lovely lady. She was kind and made us feel right at home. She mentioned that the hotel was under new ownership and would be renovated soon. The rooms are big and beds were comfy. When we were leaving all the staff we encountered were all very nice. I will be back and can't wait to see the updates.
My husband and I stayed at The Comfort Suites West Memphis on January 30, 2018. Our SUV was full of many bags/boxes, as we were on the way to visit our son in Houston, TX. We checked in at 3:30pm and asked the desk clerk (Justin) if our belongings would be safe in the car for a bit. He assured us that everything would be safe. We received a call 45 minutes later saying our car had been broken into. Our windows had been smashed and many items had been stolen (including ALL of my husband’s clothing). The car next to ours had been broken into as well. The police came and told us that break-ins were a common occurrence in the area. (You will also find other recent reviews about car break-ins at this hotel – I wish we had checked them!) The manager (Sherry) was very nice and helped to put plastic on the windows and comped our $49 room for the night. In the end, however, comping a $49 room does not make up for our $500 car insurance deductible for our windows and our $1,875 homeowner’s deductible for the items in our car. We inquired about whether the hotel could help us with these costs (especially since the clerk assured us that our items would be safe) and we received a response from Sherry that the hotel “has signs that say ‘user assumes all risk’ in the parking lot…so the owners decline to pay any additional cost.” I would steer clear of this hotel. Your car may be broken into and the hotel will not take care of you when this happens. There are much safer options not too far away.
The Comfort Suites in West Memphis is a perfect place to stay when you’re visiting Memphis. It is located right off the highway, right by the state welcome center, but it is just far enough off the road and abated, you won’t hear the road. The rooms are clean, quiet and very comfortable. They provide all the amenities you’d expect from a hotel and more. The rooms are slightly bigger than your standard hotel room providing a small common area in addition to a bedroom which is very nice. A full sofa, table and chairs for sitting. Like I said, the location is great, close to everything you want, and still a remote feeling. There’s plenty of spots you’d probably rather avoid in Memphis, this area feels very safe. Check in was a breeze. I was greeted immediately and check in was super simple. I thank the staff for being extremely friendly and making my stay very enjoyable.
From the time we checked in to the time we left it was an excellent experience. Justin @ check in was efficient and extremely helpful with giving us insights to Memphis. I have no negatives, just positives. Good location across the bridge to access Memphis. Travelling with the family, rooms were of a really good size. The rooms and hotel looked really well kept. The breakfast was really nice and continually restocked. The cookies, coffee and tea station available all day was a nice touch, my boys loved the cookies! Plenty of onsite parking. Gym was ok too. WiFi work really well with good responses.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Easy off and on I-40 and about a 10 min, quick, scenic drive to downtown Memphis. Large rooms, with a fold out couch, awesome for bigger families. Staff was super friendly, and JUSTIN went above and beyond to make our stay great. Wifi - great. Cracker barrel minutes away. Awesome breakfast, great coffee. ONLY bad thing -pool was closed for renovations, kids were bummed. Still, a great stay and a great weekend.
This was a nice hotel just a soon as you get into Arkansas off of I-40. We were traveling from Memphis so it was very convenient. The hotel was right off of the interstate and close to restaurants and gas stations. The parking lot was large and well lit and made for an easy load in. The man at the counter was helpful and got us checked and directed us to everything we'd need. The rooms were large and newly refurbished and had a refrigerator and a microwave in them. They also had a pull out couch if extra sleeping room was needed. Wifi worked great and there was free breakfast in the morning downstairs. We were traveling for business through Memphis and this hotel had everything that we needed.
