The Piries Hotel was a beautiful, clean hotel in a gorgeous old building in a very central area of Edinburgh, a five-minute walk to Haymarket station with 24-hour convenience stores and restaurants and pubs all around it. It had every modern day amenity you could want, a restaurant, very cheap internet ...
No parking spots available the first night, so off to a garage that was 10 minutes away by foot. Luckily a spot opened up, so we could get our car out of the first garage before it closed for the Christmas holiday. Sadly we were charge all three nights when we only used the hotel parking for two ...
This hotel was terrific. Great service and we loved the location to everything. Wish the rooms were a little bigger but otherwise would not change a thing. The breakfast at the hotel daily was amazing. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and pleasant. Anything you asked for they would get it ...
Room was good except for a few small tears in the sofa -- about 5 or 6. Staff was excellent - especially a very pleasant, young man (30ish), who seemed to be responsible for many items -- check in, parking and so on -- all of which he took care of with a smile on his face! Well equipped kitchen for ...
Close both to Haymarket Station and the trams/buses to Edinburgh Airport, and to city attractions and shops. Prompt room service, helpful, friendly staff, and fast, efficient check-in/out made it a good choice for a short stay in the city. Room and bed were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom ...
A really great hotel! Elegant, cozy, big spaces, free coffee-tea and bottles of water all the time, kind and helpful staff. I was a solo traveller and my room was big and had this absolutely stunning view looking at the river and Dean village. Good breakfast with vegeterian choices. Hope to visit ...
We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and the service was great from the bar to room service to our welcome to the hotel and the assistance of the concierge with our needs. Everyone was attentive and friendly and did all they could to make our stay memorable. The star was the view that we had from ...

Used this hotel to stay overnight before an early morning flight. On a busy street so can hear cars and parking is a challenge. Need to pay for parking during day. Staff helpful and friendly. Check in process easy.
Spent 10 days here and we were comfortable and warm. Quiet. Easy to catch bus, tram, air link within a block or so. High ceilings, big windows, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, new kitchen adequately fitted out. Excellent restaurants in easy walking distance and lovely shopping. Phone store to get sim chip 10 min walk or a few stops up on Princess Street bus. Loved it. No complaints. Highly recommend.
This hotel is close to the sites of Edinburgh. Just know that it is very small rooms with no air conditioning, only a small fan to circulate side. Seemed a bit overpriced for what you get.
The Piries Hotel was a beautiful, clean hotel in a gorgeous old building in a very central area of Edinburgh, a five-minute walk to Haymarket station with 24-hour convenience stores and restaurants and pubs all around it. It had every modern day amenity you could want, a restaurant, very cheap internet access, and a very accomodating staff. I have a family of four with two very young children and our room was extremely large and roomy, a very welcome break from the smaller rooms we've had to stay in throughout Europe! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Edinburgh!
