Outstanding! Staff was very helpful. Even surprised us with a birthday card signed by reception. When we needed medical assistance they were ever so helpful. Exceptional response to our every need. Highly recommend this hotel’
Room was big for a Euro (I know, they’re not part of the EU anymore) and the drinkies in the lobby every afternoon were wonderful for meeting other guests. Endless food options nearby, fast access to tram services, quiet and safe area and room had aircon (I’m sitting in a four star hotel in Zurich at the moment and when couldn’t get any cool air, they came and showed us how to open the window!)
We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel.
The staff were super friendly and we had an amazing check in experience.
The only complaint with the room would be the set up of the shower. When you have a shower the water goes everywhere! No drain on the outside of the shower and the privacy screen isn’t long enough to keep the water in. Strange set up!
Apart from that the bed and pillows were comfortable and the room had a fridge, microwave, tea annd coffee making facilities, and sink which was super helpful.
The hotel was a little out from the centre, however the tram was an 8 minute walk.
A lovely stay.
This was our first stay at The Resident but have visited Edinburgh many times. We really thought the property and room provided everything for our stay. For the size of room a lot of attention to maximising the space and inclusion of mini kitchen, mini dresser table, seat by the door for taking shoes off and the window seat etc without it feeling cluttered.
The Resident location is close enough to Princes Street and the main bars/ restaurants of Queen St but in a quiet area. Very convenient. We love visiting Stockbridge and it was only 15 mins from the hotel.
The daily free drink between 5-6pm is a really nice touch which we enjoyed on one evening and the staff member was very professional and many other guests were enjoying the gesture and evening.
Clean rooms , great customer service , Expedia recognized got a room upgrade that check in and a free bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Great location to Princess Street and Dean Village everything within walking distance.
Room was very small for twin occupancy but otherwise faultless! Helpful and friendly staff. Daily room service. Free drinks between 5-6 pm was a pleasant surprise and indeed the best part of our stay!
A fairly new property. Staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly.
Room was great, comfortable bedding, high end toiletries and kitchen facilities were great. Microwave, fridge, coffee machine, sink etc. Bonus afternoon drinks in the lobby was a nice surprise!
Definitely recommend and would be my first choice to stay at again.
