Very nice and well worth the visit very helpful staff. Very close to shopping. Comfy beds and very clen bathroom. Will definately stay again well worth the visit. If in need of a taxi they are parked right outside the main entrance on the terrace
My partner and I combined business and pleasure with a one night stay in Wellington. Having previously stayed at the excellent Novotel Auckland Airport we joined Le Club Accor and decided to stay here. Very convenient location, with Lambton Quay a quick lift ride down from the restaurant enabling us good access to the CBD and waterfront. Whilst the room was smaller than we expected it was perfectly adequate with a lovely view of Wellington. In summary, great location, quiet room and comfortable beds made for a great night. There was a nice selection of foods for breakfast, the restaurant was almost empty but we were there around 7:30, it got busier around 8:30 or so. Fiona and I will be back on future visits, well done everyone.
Partner and I spent a night before our travels the next day. Very nice room, comfy bed. Amenities were very good. Valet parking cost $30. Downtown just a short elevator ride and walk, to which we did to one of our favourite restaurants only 5min walk away. Highly recommend and would return.
Easy booking, great room, perfect car parking options for my work van and valet. I was surprised that housekeeping were a little too late in the day on our 2nd day though. This hotel is convenient and always meets expectations!
Good value hotel particularly if driving as there’s normally street parking available (overnight and two hours free during the day). Hotel is very clean however starting to become a little tired. Highly recommended if you don’t mind the location however would prefer to be closer to Te Aro if in Wellington again.
Very good hotel at the center os business streets... Nice and comfortable rooms. Good restaurant inside for breakfast, happy hour or dinner. A private lift takes you to main avenue on the down side...
Decent sized room, the bathroom had been modernised and the bath/shower was gloriously long and wide – what a treat when most hotels are ripping out their baths. The room was clean, the reception staff were very friendly. A good place to stay.
Spent two nights here over Easter weekend and really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly. There is parking next door, cheaper than the hotel valet parking, which you can pay for on check out directly at the hotel, very convenient. We had a room on the 7th floor facing inland, but the view was still pretty, as you see the houses up the hillside. Breakfast was really good, as at all Novotels, but what was slightly annoying was that, as the hotel was really busy, there was always a wait for a table. Worth it, though. Try the stewed plums. To access the centre of town - the main shopping street - all you had to do was take the elevator. It goes directly to Lambeth Quay, and you can walk from there to the boardwalk and marina. Really fantastic. The room was spacious and the bed ultra comfortable. An excellent choice, all things considered.
Typical Novotel hotel. Good location, rooms clean and functional, overall service great. We had a Superior Room with King Bed and Harbour Views. Room was fair size, bed ok, bathroom small. Hotel is some way back (3 blocks) from the water so don't think you are going to get a good view of the harbor! We were on the 9th floor and did'nt see much of the harbor! ! Nice bar and restaurant. Dinner was reasonably priced and very nice. Not sure about car parking as we did not have a car! 5mins walk to main street shops in Wellington and around a 15mins walk to the foreshore attractions, restaurants, museums, etc.
We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. As we would rarely be in the room during daylight we were not interested in a view. A lift takes you down to the shopping strip and also there is a cable car that goes up to the Botanic Gardens. We inquired about the name of this hill, mountain but no one seems to know. Was it Mt Wellington? Who knows. Anyway the Novotel suited our short stay perfectly.
