Novotel Wellington

Hi Good Evening, I was staying in this hotel for 2 nights for a business work shop and I must add that guy who was serving breakfast I think Vaibhav Tyagi? was extremely professional, always smiling and even though it was very busy he would great each customer with same passion. Wish him all the best, your hotel is very lucky to have him

We stayed 4 nights at the Novotel, it is in a great position with easy access to the city. The rooms were clean and tastefully furnished and the staff were friendly and helpful. The reception staff helped us to organise trips and were able to advise us on places of interest.

So... My review is somewhat based on what I paid. I think if I had paid less I would be far more complimentary of the location which is great! But when you are paying over $210 AUD per night with no breakfast and still have to pay for wi-fi access there are just better/cheaper options. Also, despite paying for wi-fi I couldn't even stream some tour de france footage from SBS - surely we should be past paying for wi-fi and not being able to stream content (even if they want to limit downloads). Especially when you get free internet with hotels charging much less. The hotel is centrally located on the main CBD street of Wellington but I would rather be a few minutes walk away and pay less for more convenience. The room is clean but feels aged and tiny. Despite what I paid I got no harbour views. I got no breakfast included. I had to pay for wifi which requires daily payments or a week at a time option (works out more expensive than daily rate??? go figure). A lift to Lambston Quay is accessed via an awkward walk past the bar and dining room. Staff were friendly and helpful but as my title says, Novotel is overpriced for what you actually get.

A modern well appointed hotel within the heart of Wellington. Easy access via lifts down to city streets on ground level. Well equipped good sized modern rooms, particular those that have a city view. Bright and clean bathroom.

Certainly self rated because the Hotel is not a 4.5 star rating. On saying that, the hotel is extremely central, the rooms are adequate, there is a small gym. Breakfast was good and staff were obliging.

We chose to stay at the Novotel Wellington because we are Accor Members. The Hotel is well located and check in was easy as I did it online and everything was ready. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we used Valet parking which they were very helpful with. The room itself was ok but it had dreadful TV reception and was almost impossible to watch. Also out of all the Hotels we have stayed at this one had the worst ever pillows, they were so uncomfortable my husband had a sore neck for days after we came home. Also the toilet roll holder was barely hanging on the wall and the towels were so small compared to other places we have stayed. We can't fault the breakfast and also ate in the Restaurant both nights and the food was superb. On the second night my husband dropped something on the floor and under the bed was a small pile of very old food, it was disgusting and not what we would expect from this Hotel chain. We called the Manager and he came straight away and got it sorted. We were offered another room but declined as it was our last night but he gave us a complimentary drink at the Bar. Would not stay again as have to wonder about their cleaning standards and will try somewhere different next time. Very disappointed Accor as this is the reason we stayed here

Great service and helpful staff, I would stay there again as the location was very good. I wasn't impressed with having to pay for parking on top of my stay, though, that wasn't explained on my arrival

I stayed here for work and after a long day working the Front Desk Agent, Manisha, was less than pleasant. Didn't greet us or take the time to explain the facilities in the hotel. The room and bathroom were great, it was nice having a bath in the bathroom. Room service was good and you didn't have to wait too long. The hotel room was SO noisy (sounded like a rubbish truck was constantly outside the window), I had to ask for ear plugs for the second night to be able to sleep. On the second night, we also had a function in the restaurant, the service was great but the food was a bit expensive for what was actually on the platters. There was some confusion with the payment for the function, which resulted for confusion in the morning with the final bill. To avoid the confusion in the morning, it would be great if the staff could offer for you to check the bill before they ask for payment.

Stayed here over Queens Birthday weekend. Got a room with harbour views which is a must, Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff . Had a large room with king sized and comfortable bed, An a member of Accor Plus which provides many advantages on being a member with discounted rates and inclusive rates. Well with the money to be a member

This is my hotel of choice whenever visiting Wgtn. Ease of access off motorway onto The Terrace. Easy access to Lambton Quay to cafes, restaurants and bars. Well appointed room with equipped mini bar. Competitive cost too and car parking for vehicle was no problem either.
