We spent a week here in Wellington. The location was excellent. Food just across the street at the Capital Market, plus plenty of full restaurants. We went to a lot of museums and walked to each one. The unit was very comfortable. I was a bit warm and the staff provided a fan for our use. Our washer-dryer unit wasn't working correctly before we left so we were able to use the facilities in an open room. Very thoughtful and helpful staff. The bed was comfortable there was a good variety of channels on the TV. With the microwave, stove top and kettle we were able to prepare our meals when we didn't feel like going out. We breakfasted in daily. Housekeeping left notes asking about of needs for housekeeping when our do not disturb was out daily. Very good business practices and tourist advice. We'd stay again.
Fast and performed lift, good positioning at 156 Willis street, room service fair, reception staff are kind and keen to help, good functioning diswhasing machine, perfect and adapting kitchen system. If I have to give an obvious mark, I will give 8/10
I have stayed at astelia for 4 weeks it is a really an amazing place with great location close to everything in CBD just 5 - 10 minutes walk. Apartments are Clean and Tidy very well furnished and served. Staff are really helpful, Supportive and friendly. Reception Staff member Ashish is one of a kind ... he is very supportive, helpful and Rapport. He is a role model of how customer service and hospitality should be. Will recommend Astelia to anyone who’s coming to wellington.
The location of this hotel is wonderful. We were able to walk to Parliament, Te Papa, Cuba Street and everything in between easily from the hotel. Our room was spacious and included a kitchenette. As someone else said the bathroom was small but it worked out fine. There is also a washer/dryer in the bathroom which came in handy although it takes a while to do a load of laundry. The bed was comfortable and the staff helpful. We arrived around 10 am and were able to drop our luggage off and park our car, which is in a garage across the street for $25 a day. Also when we were leaving the car park ticket did not allow us to open the gate to leave, the hotel staff called the company and had then open the gate for us remotely which was very helpful.
Comfortable clean rooms in a great location. As we were only there for a short time we didn't make use of the kitchenette facilities but we were impressed by the set up and would recommend for those self catering. Would definitely stay there again.
Two terribly wet and windy days in Wellington. The studio was a good size with chairs and a table. The kitchen was also well equipped and a real bonus was the coffee capsule machine! There was a washing machine just in case .. reception staff was very friendly. Great location and pretty quiet. I would stay there again.
Absolutely top location, close to restaurant, shop and attractions. We had a King one-bedroom apartment which includes a kitchenette. The actual living area was specious enough. Basic and simple but convenient enough for a short stay. The apartment was clean which is always a top priority. The bathroom was hopelessly small which was made worse by the fact that the bathroom door opens into to the little space. Be mindful if you need parking because the parking is in a public car park across the road at a cost of NZD 25 per day in addition to the room rate. Overall it suited us and due to its great location and the fact it has a King size bed we most likely would stay there again if or when we are back in Wellington.
We usually pay a bit more for a hotel than the Astelia costs so it is not surprising that the quality was not what we expect. We were told that check in was 3 o'clock. So when we arrived early we knew that we would have to leave our bags and come back. No problem. Except that when we did come back at 3.30 the room was still not ready for us. To be fair the staff scrambled and found one quite quickly but clearly organization was not good. The room was adequate and clean but the view of the back alley was not great. The light in the room was poor.except in the kitchen area. There was little storage. Great for one night but had we been staying longer we would have been pushed. We stay in apartment hotels so that we can cook. There was very little food storage and limited facilities. This part of Willis Street is convenient. It is a short stroll in one direction to Cuba Street and to Lambton Quay in the other. However it is not a pretty area and none too friendly.
Perfectly adequate and functional apartment in the CBD. Handy to everything and all within walking distance. Car park needed to be booked ahead and parking is across the road in the parking building. Older building but has been refurbished and modernised at some stage. Clean and tidy. A good shower. Good modern appliances and TV with SKY as well. A bit expensive for a short stay, but weekly rates may be better. Would suit the business traveller well. Street noise was high but tolerable here due to good insulation and joinery. If you are a light sleeper noise may be an issue for you. Would stay here again and happy to recommend.
Every time I have visited Wellington I have Stayed at Astelia apartments which I guess certainly speaks for itself . The apartments are always clean and tidy. The mattress was very comfortable - perfect for us! And the sheets were crisp and divine. We loved the option of eating in as we had cooking facilities to do this Or eat out as Astelia is so central. Enjoyed the elevated street views. Great staff. Great place to stay. Sent from my iPhone
