Get what you pay for. Decent room. Unfortunately lack of facilities near by and as we don't drive kind of isolated. 20 min from centre of city which is a grand walk during the day but didn't allow for much night life
Nice basic room but it had everything that you needed except a hair dryer. Pleasantly surprised and would use again. No restaurant but walking distance to a cafe. Would go again as clean - Bed comfortable
Does the job. Friendly staff. Our room was beside the front entrance, and noisy from people smoking at the front late in the evening and again at 4am. Staff could have moved them on as guests were clearly sleeping. Otherwise a fine place to stay if you're only staying for one night.
Just a basic room but the best part was being able to park free. It was handy having a petrol station and McDonalds next door. It was a very long walk from the front door to the room. The room was clean, tidy and quiet.
This was the only place left to stay when we decided to go last minute to Waterford. The rate was the cheapest around. You get what you pay for. One person working the entire time we were there, no welcome area, no bar, no restaurant, no phone in the room, no feeling of comfort or homeliness anywhere. The halls are long and narrow and we had to carry our cases up the stairs. The halls stank of smoke for the entire time we were there. Rooms were clean and basic.
I felt the location was great, 10 min walk from city centre. Room was simple, shower simple to use. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good value for money. Perfectly suited for my trip. Would definitely is again.
We travelled to Waterford recently and booked 3 rooms at the hotel. When we arrived the rooms were ready, clean and perfectly fine, it's not the Ritz but it doesn't pretend to be! The staff were all friendly and helpful, we asked for an iron and ironing board which was supplied straight away. If you are looking to spend a lot of money on accommodation I would recommend staying at the Tower Hotel or the Granville, these will set you back 3 or 4 times as much as the Travelodge does.
clean and staff really friendly..cleaners were nice and always greeted you with a smile..wi-fi was a bit slow which didnt really bother me..no noise so had a great sleep, beds sooo comfortable..loads of diners near by and a few shops..city not too far away..
We are well travelled and often reviewers. We enjoy nothing better than to give a good or great review. That means that we have had a good or great experience. Well that cant be said for the Travelodge Waterford. The room was smelly. Combination of damp and tobacco would be our guess. When we arrived, we wanted to watch a particular event on telly. But there was no remote to operate the tv. The guy on duty seemed to try. But no joy. Ah sure, could go on. But lets leave it there. Awful hotel. Never again. Sorry.
Booked Travelodge as nowhere else available for date we had to be in Waterford. Booked family room of one double and two singles. Onentering room saw only a double bed so went back to reception and thought they just made a mistake....however we were told that the 2 singles were in fact not beds at all but just mattresses that were stored under the double bed! I couldn't believe it. The carpet was not clean to begin with so the fact that we had to pull out the mattresses ourselves and then go and make up two beds at 9.30 at night was just awful ! Will never stay at a Travelode again if that is how they do family rooms. I do not remember seeing this information either on booking the room or at least it wasn't made clear and obvious to me on the website. Had I known this I would not have booked it.
