Could not fault this hotel. It’s cheap, clean and has friendly staff. The room was ready when it was supposed to be and they didn’t look for any extra money as a deposit when we got there, like the last place we stayed in. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.
First night we were very happy with service, then the second and last night (Saturday) all hell broke loose with a bunch of teenagers two doors down.! Banging doors all morning coming in from the night club, smoking in the corridor and went to the effort to nearly knock our door in.. as we had to travel back to wicklow we just left early as we got no sleep anyway there was no point staying any longer..
Just stayed in this hotel over the weekend staff were exceptionally friendly on arrival and throughout our stay and also extremely helpful... rooms were very clean great location def will stay again...
The room was comfortable and we thought it was clean - until we went to use the bathroom and discovered an empty shampoo container on the bath. Unfortunately, we have not had a good run with Travelodge wherever we have stayed with them in Ireland.
Freezing room as windows open in the room on arrival, floors stained and dirty, no double bed which we were supposed to have, walking through the corridor on the way to our room there was a very bad smell which was very off putting and quite disgusting to be honest.
Stayed in travelodge Waterford two weekends in a row and the smell of raw sewerage in the hallway is a health hazard we have discussed this with receptionist and is very helpful relaying our issues to the manager but he has not answered any of our concerns on this regard. Receptionist has e-mailed him with our concerns but to no avail. Will not be staying there again and would advise nobody else as this is a dangerous health issue
You can't compare a Travelodge to a 5* hotel ... The Waterford Travelodge were very helpful and friendly from the time we put our foot in the door ... We stayed in room 5 and had a lovely break. We stayed from Sunday to Friday visiting family ... out every day and only used the room as bedroom really .. we had no car so walked or used the bus, we are a family of 4 and two children one in a pushchair ... bus stops everywhere, 10/15 minute walk to Waterford town, 15 minutes bus to Tramore beach, Mac donalds and a American diner on your doorstep for breakfast lunch or dinner (Mac donalds close 1 in the morning) I would 100% go back if we visit Waterford again would of gave 5/5 but I found the beds too hard which everyone can't be pleased in that department thanks to the receptionist for lending us some money!!!! we got our whole break for under Travelodge and flight for just over £500 so how can anyone complain thank you Waterford Travelodge xx
We stayed for two nights. Staff were very helpful. The room was great. Very clean and tidy.good sized bathroom with shower/bath.Had a tv and kettle in the room. Within walking distance of the city centre and has a mc donalds and rocking Joe's just outside.good amount of parking spaces.
Stayed here in august , was up in Waterford for work so was looking for somewere cheap to stay , price is reasonable and place is grand , not really a pub close by which was disappointing otherwise was ok, room was quiet and bed comfy .
Rooms were spacious and clean. Only negative is that the person at Checkin was not the most personable. There were sixteen of us and I think she was a bit overwhelmed She told one guest not to lean on the counter. One person in our party was booked twice and was told to deal with it at a later date and she charged him for two rooms.
