I was in Waterford on Tuesday 30th January and decided to pay Dooleys a visit for some lunch , I opted for the bacon and cabbage and it was really really nice ,well presented in a fast and efficient friendly way . nice friendly staff too and would recommend a visit .

Very convenient to everything in Waterford. Great walking town and very picturesque. The hotel is very clean and friendly. Close to the Waterford Factory and many restaurants and shops. Do the city walking tour too.

We had a wonderful room. Excellent food. The staff is AMAZING!!!!!!!! The location is great: right along the Quay. Walking distance to Bishop's Palace, Christ's Church, Medieval Museum, Waterford Crystal, & of course, just a walk along the Quay. Can hardly wait till our return in October.

Visited here at the weekend. Very impressed by the hospitality of the bar staff and their attention to detail. Entertainment on Saturday night was excellent. However, the band stopped playing at 10.30. A tad early? Would highly recommend a visit here for a nice relaxing stay.

Food was absolutely gorgeous I. The pub food and very reasonable. Very friendly staff and we were so comfortable we didnt want to leave shopping was literally on the doorstep and when we finished shopping we had coffee in the pub grub again so relaxing

Dooley's is in a great location, within walking distance to most that Waterford has to offer and nearby pubs and restaurants. The guest rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed for a short stay. We dined in the bar on site and couldn't fault the quality (and quantity) of the food and service from the bar staff. Well priced, great atmosphere.

Just returned from our four night stay at Dooley’s which included our New Year’s Eve gala dinner - so here is my feedback: New Years Gala dinner was excellent, a very well organised event with great music entertainment (The Bottle Brothers), we were table placed with three other couples of people who were lovely really nice company, the four course dinner then tea /coffee was great food and served well and nicely to us, all of the hotel staff were excellent throughout our whole stay - a very well done to all Dooley’s staff. Our room (89) requested specially as had stayed in it before - was really good, very well heated and serviced nicely every day, a nice & quiet room and nice view of the quay side. Hotel location is really good in all ways, and particularly good if you are using the bus (bus station outside the front door!). Hotel bar is always sound, traditional Irish pub feel with good service and nice food. The resteraunt is more difficult to give feedback on i.e. it’s not a bad experience, but it could be better - some of the seating area is a little bit “works canteen” feel, we only had breakfast each of the four days - we had one dinner in the bar (OK) , NYE gala dinner (very good) and two other dinners out - but my breakfast experience was whilst good service from the staff, I feel that the food experience was a bit hap hazard, not the best orange juice ever (drinkable but think you know where I am coming from) yogurt (to put on fruit) only out on 2 of our 4 days, no grapes on last day, no fried eggs another day and no mushrooms on any day - I feel that these would be a really nice addition but never appeared - the food that is there is really nice - but my overall experience was slightly disappointing as per the above reasons. I have had a look at internet prices here for this August (our next trip) and if the Hotel is going to raise the prices to what I have seen so far (€160 / night) the current breakfast experience would certainly not reflect the circa €160 a night figures seen so far when checking the August prices!! So a genuine big thank you to Dooley’s for a really nice New Year experience overall, but please please remain competitively priced ongoing, as surely returning guests Year on Year must be a positive in the Hotel business - but there comes a price point where they may then go somewhere else if your not careful !! Thank You - Dave & Karen

Excellent service in the bar and restaurant. Staff very pleasant and helpful at breakfast. Rooms are well set out and very well cleared. Parking across the from the hotel is great and very handy. Will be back in 2018 no problem.

We came to Waterford to ride the Greenway. We hadn't booked accommodation and found Dooleys to be in a prime location. Walking distance to town centre and Viking District. Lovely comfortable room and reasonable. Very handy if you are riding the Greenway.

Absolutely love everything about this place. Love the location. With it being in the center of everything. Staff: the staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. Love the Irish Hospitality. The people at the front desk gave us recommendations and helped us plan our few days there. Rooms : Rooms were large and clean. The bathrooms were large and clean too. We stayed in a triple bedroom as we were three girls and we had plenty of room for our luggage as well. Breakfast : the buffet breakfast was fabulous! It had Irish specialities as well as other things. Fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal, bread... name it and it was there. Bar : the bar had live music the days we were there and it was nice to be able to enjoy a few Guinness and just walk upstairs to the room. Overall, if I ever go back to Waterford, Dooley’s is the place I would pick.
