SpringHill Suites Alexandria

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Beds were motel quality at best, they sagged in and were not comfortable or firm/plush but very old and worn and not at all supportive for someone with back problems. Everything else about the room was fine. Pool was crowded and there were lots of kids playing in the hot tub. Breakfast was good, food was nice considering it was hotel food. Check in and check out was easy. The AC in the room was very loud.

Dining furniture in disrepair. Floors dirty. Carpet not vacuumed downstairs. Black stuff on the beds in two different rooms. One heater didn’t work. Dirty hand towel in one of the rooms. We were very disappointed with this hotel.

Convenient to Alexandria, Arlington, and D.C. Area. Suites are perfect for family of 5 with 2 queen beds and pull out sleeper. Mini kitchen as well. Everything functional and clean. Pool, hot tub and workout room available as well. Only downsides was water pressure was not real strong and had some trouble with temperature fluctuation.

As with most hotels, the actual hotel looked nothing like its pictures. The rooms were not clean. Our bath tub was broken. Our television didn't work. Our air condition sounded like a airplane taking off and we had to shut it off. Breakfast was terrible and we didn't even bother eating on the second day of our trip. The cleaning service did not clean our room on the first day of our stay. There was only one person working the front desk and at times no one was at the front to take care of customers. We were happy to leave. Unfortunately this was where we decided to stay for our Labor Day weekend. Fortunately we were out of the room most of the days we were here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here for a short trip to visit DC. Provided free transport to metro station. Free breakfast provided a large variety of items. Only complaint is we have a one year old and asked the front desk for an anti slip mat for the tub and were told they didn't have any (there was a sign in the bathroom that said they were available at the front desk). Made bath time tricky but we survived. Also no hair dryer in the room and the carpet could use a good scrub. There is a variety of restaurants and stores just up the road which was very convenient. Overall nice hotel and we would stay there again.

Nice one room loocks clean but stink a little bit , but generally our experience were nice.

When we got there the staff was very helpful. I do wish they had more of a selection for breakfast but it was very satisfying. The person that dropped you and picked you up at the metro was friendly and upbeat. I would definitely recommend this hotel

We used this as an inexpensive way to stay near Washington DC for a summer vacation. It is a nice property and we had a spacious clean room; free breakfast (quality acceptable but not outstanding) and parking were key features in our choice. It is a little too far from the Huntington Street Metro station to walk each day, but it costs only $5 to park there. Old Town Alexandria has a lot of restaurants and is a few miles away, but there are no nice restaurants or other destinations within easy walking distance of the hotel, so having a car is key. The pool is much smaller than it appears on the website and we were not enticed to use it. A common problem with many hotel rooms is a noisy heating/cooling system, and this was the only downside to our room. I'm giving this a 5, because overall it was an excellent deal, but in fact it is probably a 4.5 with a few minor issues as noted above.

I liked the hotel. Very clean, conveniently located, and with parking. I wish I didn't get a room on the first floor, which is quite noisy in the morning because of the proximity to the breakfast area.

Overall a great experience. Close and convenient to travel into DC area. Shuttle was easy to use and had little wait time. Breakfast was good and had enough options. Room was big and had plenty of room for a family of four. Only negative, as per my kids, is they couldn't enjoy the hot tub. They have a lifeguard on duty for the pool ( only open after 5 pm) and kids are not allowed in even with an adult.

Last minute booking to this hotel, wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Was in town visiting my grandmother, aunt & uncle. Next time traveling to Alexandria will definitely stay at this hotel again.

This hotel does offer a great value. Rooms are very nice. Free breakfast is okay if you can make your way through the crowds to get stuff before it disappears. The bad thing is location. Close to old town Alexsndtia but absolutely nothing walkable.

The first two nights was great, the third night they had to change our room the room they gave us had bugs and then they told us they didn't have any other rooms available so we had to go to other hotel. it was late at night but the lady at the desk did call around we had to go all the way to the other side of town.

Hotel is situated in a convenient location, close to Old Towne, Alexandria. Rooms were very nice and clean. Hotel staff was pleasant.

The first two nights were great then we added another night so they have to change our room and when we went to the new room it had bugs in it; we were told they didn't have any other room available and they told me that the holiday inn next door didn't have any rooms so we had to Springhill suites on Eisenhower Aveune. about a mile away. it was very late. the new room assignment should have been checked because on Friday morning we inform the front desk that we were staying an additional night.

Perfect hotel for a trip to Old Town and the National Harbor. Convenient location and great rooms.

Pool hours of 5-8 should have been more clearly stated on the website. We chose the hotel because of our kids and the hours were not as expected.

This hotel is on a busy road. The room was not comfortable. It was advertised as a suite and it really wasn't a suite. It was more like a room with a sink and fridge. Disappointing at best

This hotel is really nice and clean, excelent for the all family!

Spring Hill suites surprised us completely from the cleanliness and design of the room to the friendliness of the staff. The room looks amazing, spacious and very comfortable. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. The shuttle to the metro was very convenient. The pool and the hot tub at the end of the long day was heaven for our feet. I will recommend this hotel any day.

Hi Gerson, Thank you for your note. Smell and overall cleanliness is vital and we have shared it with the appropriate hotel team to ensure it was an isolated issue.
