Lovely, quiet getaway in the woods. Clean, modern, delicious makana.

Nice sized suite. Easy to find once you check in. Check in was at a convenience store on Main Street of village. Easy parking right in front of unit.

When I rent a place, I expect potable water from the faucets. There is a big sign in the kitchen and a small sign in the bathroom stating that the water is not potable. Bottled water is provided in the kitchen but not in the bathroom. The place was advertised to have a "twin futon" - it doesn't. There was a glorified foam pad for the floor, which is not at all acceptable for an adult. I would not stay here again.

The check-in is at the ACE hardware store but the lodgings are actually a couple of streets away in nicely wooded area. It was a comfortable place and perfect for our two night stay where we spent most of the time at the park and returned to nap or sleep. The walls are little thin so you can hear your neighbors, but everyone was quiet by 10pm. There is a general store nearby for basic needs and a few restaurants close by that we good. Consider reservations for early dinner. At the Lodge and Cafe Ohelo we came by at 5:30 and told we could be seated around 7:30pm, so not too bad unless you're really hungry. The first night we ended up going to Thai Thai where they could seat us immediately. (The food was very good). There is no drug store or large grocery store nearby, so grab whatever you need when you pass through Hilo.

It does the job! Don’t expect 5-star but you didn’t come to Volcano to be pampered at a 5-star did you? The room was warm and comfortable. Whole place was spacious for two people.

Close to park, spacious, clean rustic, lots of rain

Kind of quirky checking in at the True Value store... It was close to the volcano national park which was great.

Nice location, but this lodge needs a picnic table/chairs or an area outside to sit down and enjoy the yard and the scenery.

Nice location in Volcano Village. Close to Volcanic Nstional Park. Check in location confusing. Perhaps because I booked through 3rd party. Staff very helpful and accommodating.

As far as I can tell the Lodge is just four rooms a couple blocks away from Old Volcano Rd. The rooms were nice, suite style with a small refrigerator and coffee and tea pot. Check in is at the True value store a few blocks away. I followed a GPS to the address but had to call to actually find where to check in.

Spacious, immaculate room. Great location. Friendly staff.

Non potable water. No do not disturb sign for door.

It is located in a peaceful, quiet area surrounded by vegetation and trees. And no Coqui frogs heard! The shower is small which might be a problem for a large person.

No one has potable water from the faucets past Mountain View. And all of our units have a real nice futon couches. The foam pad is to go under the futon mattress from our old futon couches that were not as comfortable. I wish you would have called us so we could have had someone come out and show you how the futon works.
