The suite has no space at all and the bathroom is ridiculously small. The sheets and pillow covers did not look like they had been washed . The place was wet and muggy.

Very peaceful and beautiful location, very convenient to the park. The owners have done an excellent job of maintaining the charming character of the property yet adding many modern elements. Towel warmers, radiant heat floor tiles, cool textures, and light fixtures, etc. It all worked wonferfully for us. Loved the fresh bread and the papayas and bananas were the best we've ever had. Looking forward to staying here again!!

Nice place. Very close to the National Park. We enjoyed staying there. Breakfast for the next moring already in the refrigerator. It is fresh fruit, bread, and juice.

Had a wonderful stay at Hale Ohia master suite. It is a short 5 minute drive to the entrance of Volcano National Park and Volcano Village so we were able to stay late inside the park (watch the lava glow) and not worry about a long drive back in the dark. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and all the more made enjoyable when we lucked out on great, sunny weather. The master suite is spacious and is attached to the office/gift shop, but we were never really bothered with much noise. Appreciated the home baked bread, juice, coffee and papaya for breakfast.

We have compleated an investigation into Anup Rui's accusations and unfortunately, this guest chose to leave a review that we feel was unfounded. The room images shown on the listing are a clear reflection of the rooms and the room size is clearly stated, this is one of the bigger suites with two rooms. The Junior Suite is in the historic part of the property and so the bathroom is indicative of a property built in 1931 that is on the National Historic Registry. I can assure all guests that our housekeepers are professionals and have been with us a long time, in addition, the Head Innkeeper is vigilant in checking rooms prior to check-in to make sure they are up to our 5-star standard of cleanliness. The linens are always fresh and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard between guests, as we are fully aware of the risks with Covid. We are sorry that Mrs Rui was not happy with her stay, she selected a room on the website and was not happy with her selection once she arrived. The room she desired after arrival was not available so our innkeeper was unable to upgrade the family.
