I was so impressed with the Solo suites. Came into town from the USA for a birthday. Was so happy with the room quality, cleanliness & amenities, especially for the price. The location was great as well. The best part was the customer service. Jack offered the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. He went above & beyond. I would absolutely recommend staying at the Solo suites, and will stay again when in town.
We stayed for 12 days. The staff were very friendly at all contact points, phone, email and cleaning staff. We loved the convenience of having a kitchenette and washer/dryer. The location is ideal for going in any direction for sightseeing or shopping, and it is walking distance to plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the goldstream area. The parking is easily accessible and there is plenty of it. We have stayed here twice and each time has been awesome. 100% would stay again and recommend to anyone
This is my second time staying with them, absolutely wonderful. The staff , the cleanliness of the room , the location. I will definitely be staying with them again. Having access to a full kitchenette is wonderful.
We loved the suites, close to family we were visiting. The kitchenette was fully stocked with utensils and dishes. Very modern and clean . The only disadvantage was the washer dryer unit that took several hours to do only 1 load. I would stay again, and recommend for sure!
Stayed at Solo Suites for 4 months, booked by employer for work in the area. Compared to other hotel/motels I've stayed in over the years I considered this actually a great place to stay. Would've given it 5 stars!! except for the annoying washer/dryer unit. It does work... but it's not simple to set and get your laundry done in a normal of time (not 3+ hrs and maybe dry) usually running a couple different cycles. Place is fairly new and though other people I worked with thought the beds hard I kinda felt otherwise but after a month or so my back got used to it and I slept good (I'm 57) so I guess it's all subjective. 5 min walk to local restaurants and markets so location is perfect for getting things for kitchenette which has enough pans and utensils to get you going (remember the Dollar Store for cheap pricing on spices). The barbecue area got used alot. LG Heat pump system works great and not hard to figure the remote out. Weekly maid cleaning service and top up of paper consumables and good attention to details. Lastly, when I departed and flew home I realized I had left an external hard drive in my rm and phoned the staff that day and arranged to have them mail it back to me; so happy about that and many thanks to Solo Suites Staff and their great customer service and housekeeping! C Shannon
The check in, using the emailed instructions, was easy and problem free and the room was very clean and everything that we needed was available in the kitchenette. The only problem was the bed, which was the hardest we've ever tried to sleep on; it was high density foam, and there was absolutely no "give" to it. We were glad to get home the next day and have a very long nap in our own bed! Without this issue, I would have given the Suites 4 stars, because there were no extra pillows available and nobody to ask for more.
