Lets start with the positive; the location is good and the hotel room was clean overall. Now the not so good 1. We booked a room through Orbitz that clearly stated "Harbor View", which in my understanding is that from somewhere through the window, you would at the very least be able to see the harbor. That was completely not true. You have to step out, walk 15 paces and then get a glimpse of it. The staff made no offer to set this right, even though we pointed it out to them. They wanted us to pay extra. They mentioned "you paid through third party, so we cant fix this" -basically a penalty for going through Orbitz ! We wanted some room service, but wanted to sit outside and enjoy the sunset while eating. Me to the restaurant desk: " Can I order food through room service " Restaurant Desk : "Oh room service,,, why don't you ask the front desk" Front Desk Person: " why don't you call from your room" Me: I'm sitting outside, I just want a dessert. Can I get some there without having to go back to room and wait there" Front Desk: " Sorry, go to the restaurant" After some convincing, I eventually managed to place the order, but still had to come back to pick it up myself. Oh and they wouldn't take order for what I wanted as it was still 9:15 and that dessert was only available after 10pm... its a dessert sitting in your fridge. They could easily have made it happen if they were so inclined. This was clearly nowhere close to a 4-star hotel service.

A lovely hotel on the harbor, without the price tag of some others. So close to all of the nearby attractions that it is just a few minutes walk, yet enough of a distance that you are away from the bustle. The room was spacious and well cared for. But the attribute that made our visit so memorable was the care and attention of the staff! Highly recommend!

Spacious room. Beautiful bathroom! Nice view from balcony in room on Erikson wing. Hotel lobby underwhelming, very limited seating in lobby - but overall this is a very minor issue in the hotel stay.

In traveling many times to and from Victoria by ferry, I told myself one day I'd stay here. So glad I did! While it is located on the Inner Harbor, the extensive grounds make it a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Victoria. The staff is so very helpful and friendly. The room was wonderfully comfortable, and our patio door opened to view the Zen Garden. So peaceful and relaxing. Self parking was easy, and the fee is typical of any place in the downtown area.

From the cleanness of the rooms to the view to the super friendly staff and amazing food at the restaurant I give this place a 5 star rating all the way around. I will always look for this place first when coming to Victoria. Even the bellguy went out of his way and he remember us and our room numbers after 4 days of staying there. The beds are super comfortable and it is right on the water with a little porch. We opened the door so we woke up to the sounds of birds and boats. And the food at the restaurant was the best of any place else we ate in Victoria. I just can't say enough nice things about this place.

Our party had two rooms. The Erickson wing is expensive but extremely beautiful with huge rooms overlooking an Asian style reflecting pool. It would be a very special treat. Oir room was perfectly appointed, had a good view. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the harbor. There is a harbor trail just outside the property. You could walk for miles. It is a ten minute walk to the action downtown. We enjoyed it.

Just in for the weekend. Perfect location on the water.

Great hotel. Clean with a nice view. Close to town.

scenic location, especially lovely and spacious room with inviting patio, meticulously cared for garden and pond, excellent service by all, attentive and punctual with every request, delicious restaurant on site (Aura) with views from inside and patio, they thought of everything for our comfort, personal touch throughout with ceramics and Asian inspired art work tastefully arranged throughout.

great people and service location and convieniance

Within walking distance to downtown. Wonderful and helpful staff that were willing to help.

While the hotel itself is average, the view makes up for it! It is right on the harbor and a room with a view affords breath-taking vista including the Empress and the parliament buildings.

We have stayed at the Laurel Point Inn many times and we have never been disappointed. .Love the location, Inner Harbor area. The staff could not be any nicer or competent. Comfortable bed, with very clean room and beautiful view.

This was my first time to Victoria, so walking off the ferry and having the Inn right there couldn't have been any more perfect. We got there many hours before check-in and the staff was very helpful holding on to our luggage for no extra fee!

Hotel was overbooked so we were given a room with a view of a pond type thing that was dirty and gross. After complaining we were moved to a room with a much better view which is what we booked in the first place. Also, if you end up on the bottom floor you will be very disappointed. Bed was fine...patio was not what we expected. It was standing only...nothing to sit on...very small. We stayed at three different hotels while we were in Victoria and this was the most over-priced. We did lots of walking...as long as you can breath and walk at the same time you can walk to almost anywhere. The water taxi's are fun and inexpensive. Take in an IMAX film if you have time. Of course we took in the gardens...absolutely beautiful. All in all...if you are just in Victoria for a weekend you can find a less expensive hotel and spend your extra money on something fun. If money isn't an issue then be sure to ask for a room on an upper floor. This is not a bad hotel, but we stayed at the same quality elsewhere for less.

Excellent location (about a 3 minute walk from the Victoria Clipper dock), and great views overlooking the harbor. The staff was consistently courteous and always helpful. I'll very likely stay there the next time that I visit Victoria. The only thing that I'd wish for is a hot tub. The pool was great, but a hot tub would have made it perfect. They apparently had one at one time, but removed it due to maintenance issues, and never replaced it.

We really enjoyed the location. The Parliament Building looked beautiful from our room especially at night with the outside lights outlining the building. We could hear birds chirping as well as the activity going on in the harbour.

We went for an overnight getaway from Seattle; we took the clipper up, and the hotel let us check in early to put our bags away, which was a huge plus! They were pleasant, the rooms were nicely furnished, and the breakfast at Aura was great. The only negative thing about the hotel was room service -- we put our room service card on the door, unfortunately it mysteriously disappeared and we did not get breakfast -- I highly recommend calling the room service people to confirm at least 30 minutes before you want breakfast.

Great location - removed enough from the city to escape the noise - yet only a few blocks away. Gorgeous views from every rooms it seems. We stayed for a long weekend without a car and the location worked beautifully for that. The only bummer was the pictures for the room we purchased showed a balcony with chairs. The balcony in our room was an opera balcony that could barely fit two standing. And although the views were wonderful, the windows were disgusting so at least we did get to go outside to take pics.
