I stayed at this hotel with my 20lb cocakpoo recently. I was put on the 2nd floor. I had an event that evening in Victoria and returned to my hotel at 10pm that evening. When I returned to the hotel, the front desk girl told me that I needed to move from my room to one on the 1st floor because of my dog. She stated; "Policy says: no dogs on the 2nd floor" BUT she was the one that put me there and she saw my dog. I told her I wasn't moving and she could tell her manager that. I went to my room. She called me about 10:15pm when I was in my room and told me she spoke to her manager and that it was policy that there couldn't be dogs on the 2nd floor. I reminded her I didn't ask for the 2nd floor, she put me there. She shouldn't have put me on the 2nd floor if I wasn't supposed to be there. We went back and forth and I told her I still wasn't moving. At 10:30pm, she called me back and told me again that I had to move. I told her the only way I would move was If she wanted to move all my stuff for me and put it in the new room the way it was laid out in the current room. She said she couldn't do that. So I told her again, that I wasn't moving. I told her that her manager could call me and I'd explain it to the manager. I told her if they did not continue to harass me, I was going to call a lawyer and file a harassment charge as It was now 10:40/10:45 and I was laying in bed. Needless to say, the manager never called me and I finally fell asleep around midnight. The next morning, I took my dog outside to do her business. I came back in the side door with my card keys but when I got to my room, neither worked in the door. They had been deactivated. The front desk reactivated my keys. I packed, took my dog and went out to pay the $20 dog fee. The front desk clerk ran my card and handed me a bill. The "manager" who the night desk clerk was calling; Cindy Perez turned out to be the night auditor and tried to charge me $80 for Holly. Perez added two "pets over 20 lbs" charges to my bill and the front desk girl charged me $40.00 for a "pet over 40 lbs". I have one dog, house/hotel trained, sleeps in her crate, doesn't shed, hypoallergenic, doesn't bark and cleaner then me. Absolutely ridiculous and the room wasn't even that clean. 😡😡😡
Nice large rooms, well furnished. It was quiet and restful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is a little poorly placed with just one way street in front, but not all that bad, there is plenty of parking even with a trailer
Very nice and clean hotel. The price is very affordable and the staff is very friendly. Although I wanted to use the Jacuzzi and pool, I understand it was under repair. We had a very pleasant and quiet sleep which is what we needed so we could be ready for our next day challenges. There was a decent warm breakfast with eggs and sausages to accompany the tasty Texas sized waffle to help start off our day. Check out was also fast and easy as we had no wait time. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Hopefully it will be soon as we have several trips planned out to this side of Texas.
Checked in here Friday night for three nights and I was not disappointed. Check in was fast and was in my room quick. My room was on the second floor and the room had a king size bed which was very comfortable, slept well each night. There was also a chair with ottoman, work desk, 37" TV, bathroom a little small, room smelled fresh and clean upon walking in. Didn't get to use the pool, did use the exercise room and decent selection of machines, breakfast was ok, when they ran out, the lady working was quick to replenish. Great staff make this a great place to stay.
In town for a wedding I was the maid of honor as it was I was under so much stress, I traveled 10hrs to get here long drive . Just wanted to get in and check in after the long drive , it was nice to relax and not have to deal with problems checking in it was smooth..
We stayed in the King suite room with plenty of space to spread out with large and very comfortable sofa and chair in separate living area. Loved the 50-inch flat screen TV and the amazing invigorating water pressure in the shower! Downloading on the computer was fast! Quiet room except for interstate noise but curtains darkened room and slept very well without being disturbed. Only issue was a sparse breakfast buffet at 6:00 a.m. Since other reviews have reported a great breakfast, may have been the early hour or low residency the night before. Would definitely recommend this hotel based upon our overnight experience.
The day I checked out I was on my way to the Refugio, TX BW when I was notified of a family emergency. I called the "800" number for assistance. The customer service rep (I don't recall her name but she was outstanding) contacted the Refugio BW to explain my situation. Thank You to the Refugio BW for not charging me for the 2 nights because it was less than 24hrs when I cancelled. They truly represent the meaning of, "Taking Care of Their Customers." The customer service rep then rebooked me for 2 nights at the Victoria BW. They were very comforting when I explained why I had to return.
Had a great weekend! Location was great and out of town venue nice. Will remember for next stay. Staff were nice and helpful. Registrar was helpful and proficient at his job. Town of Victoria has lots of resources.
Beautiful place to stay. Great quiet room, friendly and informative staff, fast WIFI service and a superb hot breakfast. This stop is a great place to come and relax. The staff makes you feel at home. The price is right too.
Nice place to stay. Easy to get to and to get out of. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Good price on the room as well. No regrets or problems. I am not a bot or an employee either.
