I would highly recommend. It was quiet and clean. Typical hotel breakfast.

I have stayed here several times and have enjoyed it. Only thing is that its away from shopping but i dont mind that and price is reasonable

It was clean and very relaxing! Just right for my family of four! I will recommend the stay here and defenitely come back! Plus the complimenGary breakfast was awesome!

This is a simple hotel on the side of the road (Hwy 59) on the way somewhere else -not a vacation destination, or near one. Within that context, it is an excellent value for the money. While charging $30 or more below its counterparts with same number of stars in a 60 mile radius, Lone Star stands way above the rest. Comfortable, clean, updated facilities. This hotel has undergone renovation lately, down to the porcelain wooden floors (instead of musty old carpets in the average roadside hotel), quartz counter tops and steel appliances. Even the door lock system is one that I haven't seen in the likes of Marriott, Omni, and Hilton chains. Of particular interest to families with children, breakfast is, again, not your run of the mill cold pre-packed continental type: fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread and rolls, waffle maker, assortment of juices, coffee and teas, cereals, warm scrambled eggs, links and biscuits, butter, jams, cream, milk... I am probably forgetting something. A huge flat screen TV is on with family friendly programs right above the piano. The rooms are ample and inviting, with desk, chairs, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing table, hair dryer, and flat screen TV. The bed is comfortable. I appreciated that all pillows and mattress are zippered in protective covers (great for allergy sufferers and little bugs that may hide in old bedding) The porcelain wooden floor was clean and healthy. The bathroom was overstocked with more towels than 2 people could use in a week, and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, etc. The shower (one of my pet peeves) was impeccable. The only area that could use improvement (and in no way deterred from a good stay) was the front desk: attendant could be friendlier and more energetic, there were things that he could be doing to keep up with the place, but instead he chose to remain glued to his phone. I have stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed it, this time I was in for a very good surprise!

Although the room had good amenities, I didn't care for the tile floor and the internet access was poor. This is not good for business travelers that have work to do.

With so much work in the surrounding area, this hotel is convenient and affordable to stay at for long and short time periods.

It was a very comfortable stay. The hot breakfast food needed to be replenished when I appeared for breakfast, but the staff replenished it when I asked.

I rarely submit reviews, good or bad, and i am truly sorry that i find myself compelled to speak up about this dump. This place should just skip the pretense and charge by the hour. I think that sums it up. The only reason I stayed there was it was close to the south side of town where my meeting was. Next time, I'll take the additional 15 minute drive and stay someplace that isn't barely borderline legal.

The rooms were clean the beads firm and nice. The only thing I didn't like was the toilet !!!! Not a good thing not too work. Night clerk and manager tried too fix it too no avail. Moved us too new room, it was just as nice as the first room. Still a little trouble with the toilet. I think the type of water saving toilet in the rooms is the problem. Did like the rest of the stay. Will use them again if in Victory.

Nothing fancy, but rooms were clean and more than adequate. Would consider staying there in the future.

This hotel was a good value for the money. Spacious room, clean and staff was friendly. It is walking distance to a truck stop/mcdonalds.

When we checked in the gentleman was not very friendly at all. The next morning when we went for our "deluxe" breakfast it wasn't very deluxe. They have a sign clearly posted about Waffles and Syrup but the staff said that he had never seen waffles out. After searching he finally found the frozen waffles but they had no syrup. The beds were super hard and I had to use extra pillows under my back to get comfortable.

We needed to check in before the check in time and they were able to let us do so.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Will have to travel into Victoria to find resturants other than Mcdonalds.

The hotel was nice and the front desk staff was friendly. The only thing I did not like was how many crickets there were!! It also smelled because of the dead ones. There were a few bugs in the room as well. Also, my reciept said checkout time was 1pm, the door said 11am and the front desk told me 12pm.

Complimentary breakfast was very so-so, have had better in numerous other motels. Very noisy at my end of the motel where construction going on and trash from the motel construction right down the sidewalk from the door to my room. Burn hole in bedspread and not a spotless room -- trash on floor next to bed and behind nightstand; dirty ice bucket, etc. A/C did not work very good.

I was told the Hotel was a bad place to stay because it was close to the truck stop and certain kinds of people hung out at the hotel. But that was not true at all it was a very nice place very quite the staff was great. the rooms was clean the carpet was nice also. We had no problems there what so-ever. The only thing the kids said the pool was too small.

I would give this hotel a thumb up. It is worth a second visit. The air conditioner was the only down side to the visit.
