We stayed at this hotel at the end of out Italy trip... We landed in Venice and had our return flight from Venice...Hence we wanted to stay closer to Airport yet not too far from Venice... This place is a Decent hotel... small room but clean and tidy... AC was not too effective... Staff was helpful and they guided us on how to reach Venice easily...You can reach Venice in about 15 mins by bus... nearest bus stop is around 500 mtrs away... We had breakfast before leaving for the airport... breakfast spread was ok... we have limited vegetarian options... but it was ok... They helped us in getting the cab quickly... Overall rating 4/5
I was off to Venice for few days my daughter booked this hotel sent me the link so I had a look all sounded ok apart from the food ! I thought ohh well food not good can always have toast ? We got to this hotel which on arrival was very impressive staff couldn’t have been nicer rooms were spotless so after a nights sleep ready to go off in to Venice which is about 12/14 min on a number 2 bus about 500 Meter down the road from hotel we went in for breakfast everything was again spotless we were seated you then help yourself obviously your in Italy your not going to get a English breakfast! But there were scrambled eggs bacon and lots of other nice foods the food was replenished as soon as needed and if you kept an eye out different item would appear for instance when the kiwi fruit was gone strawberries would appear this was the case for all items so keep an eye on staff replenishing the food so all I can say is don’t believe all that you read we found everything at this hotel excellent
This is my third time staying at this hotel. Checked in by Michael who was very professional. Room is great, very clean and the view excellent. If u are looking for a great place to stay in Venice then look no further. Daniel at reception was very helpful as well when being asked to direct us to the local attractions. Staff at the restaurant were also very helpful I am checking out tomorrow but already looking forward to be back Well done guys, keep it up Ziad Al-Daher
We came here with our Trafalgor group while touring Europe. This hotel is subpar to the 4 star rating they claim. The A/C is noisy in the room but does cool nicely. The water temperature in the shower has a mind of its own. It went from warm to cold to scalding throughout the shower. The breakfast is horrible. It was not cooked thoroughly, insufficiently supplied, and seating was chaotic. Not enough cutlery either. Very disappointed with his awful hotel.
We stayed here whilst on our trip around Italy. Unfortunately we thought we had booked a 4* hotel.... this is not the case. The rooms are very basic, and are nothing like the reception area. Staff weren’t helpful really during our stay, and I’m not sure I actually saw one smile! Unfortunately whilst we were staying, there were a lot of coach parties arriving at the hotel, which made breakfast very busy with little choice of food, due to things not getting restocked. This hotel is okay for a one night quick stop, however I would t recommend more than that! It’s a very businesslike hotel!
We have stayed in various hotels of Accor chain but this was by far the best in kids entertainment and lowest on breakfast choices. Very limited choice and service is all over the place in the mornings. May be they should invest in revamp of breakfast and bathtubs at this hotel. Both do not suit a 4 star hotel. Location is good bus stop is near by and you can be at Mestre station in less than 10 minutes.so Location wise and amenities in hotel are good but the standard of breakfast needs some work.
Having stayed at numerous 4*hotels in Europe I was disappointed with my stay at the Novotel in Venice. Although the locations is conveniently located near the bus stations, without a car it will be very costly to get around. My criticisms arose due to more than just the location. The bathrooms are in need of a major overhaul. Plastic baths with little space to shower are an insult to Novotel and all 4* hotels. It is not acceptable for such a well established chain. The rooms were not even hovered in our 4 nights which was evident by fluff and threads that remained on the floor throughout the duration of our stay. Although the cleaners did do a good job of cleaning the bathroom and making the bed surely it's a basic requirement to clean the floor. No glass tumblers or wine glasses in the room just paper cups which were not even replaced daily which left us struggling to drink our water or drinking direct from a bottle. The breakfast is a joke and seem to be serviced by overworked staff with little attention to detail. Basic items were not laid out on the table several times e.g. salt and pepper mills or even napkins but we're given after requesting and more waiting! Although there was cereal, bread, meats, cheese, and pastries, considering it was suppose to be a continental breakfast I was surprised that there were no hot options for vegetarians. Clearly the staff could not cope with the demand as there was mess left near the cereal area and on several occasions lots of food was being stepped on. I suppose if you want a budget hotel which is great for screaming children and numerous dogs allowed into the dining hall then this establishment will suffice for your needs! One time the wait was so long that I even went for an hour long stroll and came back before being seated to find there was no cutlery, no cereal and no saucers (saucers never replenished neither water glasses). Then to be told not to take sugar bowl from another table when none was present on our table is insulting to say the least. The bar staff were the only asset to this hotel who went over and beyond to get French fries and house salad! Even though on a separate occasion they had a hard time simply processing an order of water which cost €3.20! When paid for with a €5 note at least give the correct change and not €1.75! It is a matter of principle that bar staff should know how to count change and operate a till?!? We needed an early morning taxi and asked to reserve on and were informed that we did not need to book one as the hotel will call for a taxi in the morning 10 minutes before we required. Surprise, surprise when we went to checkout it took almost 40 minutes for the taxi to arrive with no apology from the rather unhelpful man at the reception desk. Surprisingly disappointed for a 4*hotel with such high charges and will definitely not be returning.
My recent two night stay here was OK. The location is not great, there is nothing around the hotel, but it’s a quick taxi ride to Venice. The room itself is fine and sleep quality was OK too. The breakfast needs improving. The issue here is that a lot of tour groups use this hotel so breakfast is extremely crowded with pushy package deal tourists. There are only two coffee machines so the queue is immense. Also, the food was cold both mornings. The staff and reception were friendly.
We stay here for 2nights rooms and service and design are great but breakfast is not as good as 4star hotels. But i enjoy here alot. The staffs are friendly foo.it has good swiming pool for sunny day.
The room and the service was good, yet the location is bit far away from the Grand Canal area. It is nice and quiet area. If you drive a car its not difficult to get to the hotel otherwise you will have to switch to few buses to get to the hotel. Dont forget to try to taste the aperol!!
