This hotel situated far from the Venice island. Hôtel is isolated from public transport. One has To switch more buses to reach the hotel. To reach the hotel from The bus stop is very risky. There is no walking pavement. Travelling with the kids is danger. Rooms are normal with all four star amenities. Breakfast organisation was worst in this hotel. Tour group will empty the buffets foods and the staff won’t refill quickly. Even if you go earlier to the table there will be a mass crowd in the hall. Management should organise breakfast in other halls ( ex meeting halls) for the groups. Reaching hotel from Venise airport: Bus 15 from aéroport to mestre railway station, then take 31H or 32H to the hotel. Get down immediately after the bus travel into the underground. From there you will see the hotel. To join Venice centre ( Piazzale Roma) Take bus 31H or 32H to mestre railways station and then take bus 2 to venizia.
We slept really well - the beds are incredible, and the rooms are soundproof (experience has taught me that not every hotel has soundproof walls). The room was also very clean - housekeeping did a good job. The front office staff was very courteous and helpful every time we interacted with them. The only thing that has to be clear to people considering staying here is that the location isn't very convenient unless you have a car. The area next to the hotel isn't pedestrian friendly (no crosswalks and limited sidewalks) and it takes some effort to figure out how to get to Venice via public transportation.
We were taken here after our KLM flight got cancelled. We would still be there now if we hadn’t paid for a taxi to take us back to the airport as KLM abandoned us there. Nice warm hotel, decent food at short notice, good wi fi connection, couldn’t go far as rather hemmed in by roads. Clean and warm.
I was with a travel group that was arranged to stay in this hotel at end Dec, the room is as expected per usual Novotel standard. The problem started with the dining at the hotel, we were served dinner at the hotel on the night of arrival, our group waited for nearly 2 hours for out set meal, we were having fish as our main, finally, when the fish is served, it was bland, fishy, some under-cooked and poor in presentation. The manager decided to compensate by waive off drinks, however, the waiter in charge of our group was so bloody rude and told us only water is waived initially till we argued with him... I'm not sure whether they value us as customer at the first place. The next day, the breakfast is equally awful, instant cake mix cake, instant food quality, black banana been served, people are fighting for the food as the replenishment did not come on time, I do understand it is the peak season and the hotel was fully booked, but this is not how it was run. We will not return to this hotel unless they find a proper chef, sous chef and change in management...
Breakfast was not up yo Novotel Standard. Staff could not even make an omelette. The coffee machine dished out powdered coffee with powdered milk. No baked beans no real coffee No muesli, no fresh fruits thou they had tins of fruits My family do not eat meat so our choice was over cooked eggs with sliced white bread that was stale. We visited the local supermarket and brought back some bread pastries and muesli and used the Novotel buffet area to to eat. I recommend this hotel but stay away from the kitchen until they hire a good chef and pastries chef. This is my 10th Novotel in 1 month and no one comes a close 2nd to this one. Novotel claims to be fresh and looking at their breakfast posters with waffles strawberry with blueberries but fresh was not on offer here. Hotel is also badly uner staffed. Not enough staff to offer assistance. My advice to the manager is to go to a German Novotel and watch how they rock at this game
We stayed there as part of a group, so it was not our choice but still I was expected more than we really got. First of all the location is not suitable at all if you don't have a car. Rooms are so poor furnished, things around are over used, you just want to leave not to be depressed. Then, the breakfast: paper cups, filthy tables, that says everything! Though I do appreciated that reception's staff was helpful and very polite. Summing up, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend of mine.
We stayed here one night during a tour with 2 adults and 1 teen. The hotel is out of the way but is well equipped. There is a gym and a rather large outdoor pool. There aren't many dining or shopping choices nearby so advice would be to buy while you are out and bring back to the hotel. Across the road is a steakhouse. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but we did have a drink at the bar which had a nice atmosphere. Room was clean and spacious and the wifi was good.
Stayed here for 2 nights for business. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean though you will realize he age upon inspection ( well worn TV and bathroom fixtures). Internet was fast and allowed for good video conferencing. Housekeeping was thorough. Areas for the hotel to consider improvements include: - shower worked the first day but not on the second day - had to fiddle with the TV power plug to get it to turn on - nespresso machine didn't turn on. Had to get hotel to come and fix it (fuse?) - hotel food quality was well below average and some staff were not polite. I nearly got into a fight while searching for slat and pepper to bring back to my table. Scrambled eggs were horrible. Brown Bread would run out and not be replaced had bread and yoghurt. Fruit ran out and was not replaced.
A hotel with a car park which can be secured. We stayed 3 nights this Novotel lets its self down. Miscommunication on arrival with patience sorted out on both sides. Room good. Food poor dinner terrible small ? Hamburger of not very good quality. Breakfast no vouchers no breakfast dinning room staff not helpful took 20 mins to sort out with staff at the main desk returned to dinning room not much food left charged for full breakfast. Good staff on front desk sorted issues out at the end of the day. Was very frustrating. Bar staff also great as well as front desk.
I was sent to this hotel when my flight from Venice was cancelled by the airline and can not rate this hotel higher than poor. Rooms are ok but the bed is just horrible. I can not recall that I have ever slept in hotel where there was a plastic sheet underneath the bed sheet. A thick horrible contraption that moves so the surface you sleep on is uneven and very hot and sweaty. It might protect the mattresses more but not all of your guests are incontinent or under 3 yrs old and in need of a nappy. Add to this bad service and poor meal in the restaurant ( the worst Parma ham I have eaten in Italy instead of lovely thin slices I got hacked off tiny pieces and the melon was hard) overpriced even if it had been good. and this is most certainly not a hotel I will return to, in fact it has put me off the whole Novotel chain.
