We stayed for 3 nights and i will describe the biggest issue we had. There is a shuttle to take you to Venice every morning. So you inform them by 8:00 in the morning. So i requested the only available time which was 10:20. We arrived at the reception at 10:22 with my phone's time and she said we were 5 minutes late and the driver left. I said i understand that we were 2 minutes late but i believe it was a nice courtesy to call us and ask if we are on our way or the driver will leave but they did not. So i asked, bow what? She said to take the bus. But the next bus was in 49 minutes. So i asked for a normal taxi. She said it is going to be really expensive and suggested to call a private company. I asked how much and she responded that the company takes 35€. She called the office they cooperate and i heard her telling that it is going to cost 35€. I understand some Italian so i asked her why she dictated the driver how much to charge since it is a different company! She said it's to save me money of course it was for the hotel's commission. The driver was late over 35 minutes despite the lady telling me it's going to be coming soon. i asked to get a normal taxi and as she called for a normal taxi, the driver arrived. So i asked her...is it ok for us to be 2 minutes late and get charged 35€ but this driver can be late over 35 minutes and he will receive 100% of the fair? And she said it had traffic... The roads were so quiet today. Both sides from and to venice were almost empty and we quickly arrived to venice.
The location was quite okay, but the room was not really clean. There were some dirty stains on the curtains and on the towels.. The blankets were also very thin. The man at the reception wasn't very friendly either and it seemed like he didn't want to tell us any more information. During check-out there was just no one at the desk, I was waiting all the time but nobody came. That’s not good service!!
Really bad hotel , i don’t recommend anyone They throw away my stuff i don not take responsibility for it Really bad service The room had also little animals in it I will never go there a again.......
We didn't have any high expectations of this hotel due to the reviews but this hotel was clean, was in good location to get into Venice and friendly staff. The hotel was based in Malcontenta outside Venice and was really easy to get to. The number 53E bus leaves you right outside the hotel and you can get the bus back into Venice from outside the hotel. Purchase a bus ticket from reception. (the buses are always packed) The hotel offers a free shuttle service in the mornings to go into Venice. You have to book onto this at 8am and the bus can hold upto 8ppl. The rooms are what you want for a short break. Clean & tidy with a TV which we got few English speaking programmes/films to watch at night. Our first night we stayed in Malcontenta. There isn't much surrounding the hotel but there is a lovely Italian bar at the end of the street were we sat outside for a few drinks. Across the street over the bridge from the bar there is a pizza takeaway place (you can also sit in). The food was beautiful and the staff were more than friendly. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and will help you with anything. I would recommend this hotel. It is cheap and convenient to get to Venice.
Friendly, helpful staff, good shuttle service to Venice. The breakfast was boring and repetitive but well cooked. Hot dog sausage with scrambled eggs was novel but not every morning! The hotel operates a reduced cost taxi service to the Airport. The driver was excellent as opposed to the local airport taxi drivers!
The hotel is some kind of old and the room is not clean ,the shower gel is very basic and not sufficient, The worst thing is what they called breakfast ,2 to 3 kinds of cheapest product ,unhealthy and very limited choice,no vegetables or fruits, even no tomato (I never seen a 3 star hotel which has no tomato fo breakfast) There is a shuttle for venice but it is a small car with only 8-9 person capacity only 3 times goes from hotel to venice which is not enough for all the passengers and there is a little chance to can reserve a seat in shuttle And as it is far from venice and far from mestre train station the taxi is too expensive and you have to use very crowded bus with other local villagers. At the end I don’t recommend this hotel at all
I’m mid way through my stay here and now feel I can leave a decently detailed review! So far so good! The room is more than adequate, air con works well, there is a fridge in the room that is perfect for keeping a few drinks cold. As other reviews have said, the walls aren’t the thickest and we have been able to hear neighbours coughing and nose blowing but nothing more than that - it didn’t really disturb us at all. Other reviews also noted that the aircon was noisy - it is if it is on full speed which we only used to cook the room down, once cooled we turned the aircon down a setting and it was very quiet! I can’t comment on the breakfast other than I think it was 7€ or 8€ per person which we felt was a little on the expensive side so decided not to have it, instead opting to get some cheap breakfasts in from the nearby Aldi. There is one downside that I can think of - as others have said, the WiFi is woefully slow, unreliable, and weak. I really struggled to stay on it for any length of time and had to keep turning it off and using phone signal instead. We also noticed that the single pillow provided per person was really too thin, so after the first night I asked at reception for an additional pillow each, which they gladly provided :) couldn’t fault that at all. Others complained of insect bites - not a problem we encountered at all. So I’d say if it’s luxury you are looking for, this isn’t it, but if you want good value, basic hotel (ie a clean, comfortable room), you’re in the right place. If I were to make recommendations to the management - improve the WiFi, and provide a kettle/tea making facilities in the room! Us brits do like a good cup of tea.... :)
We booked a cruise from Venice which included a short stay in a Hotel before and after the cruise. We were placed in the Palladio which is located some 7 miles from Venice centre not what we expected. The Hotel was remote in a run down industrial area which was bad enough but it did not have a restaurant( except for a meagre self service breakfast & basically no services.Nearest 'restaurant' was 20 mins walk and not very good.A bar nearby frequented by noisy locals.A shuttle bus to Venice had 8 seats and to book we had to wait until 8am although we enquired the previous evening. Ruined our holiday and we will never book with this Agent again. Our complaint has yet to receive a response.
We stayed at the hotel for two days, we have travelled a lot in the past and visited a lot of 2 star and 3 star hotels. However this one is not like the others. Starting with the good parts:fairly close to Venice, we came by car and had free parking, it is 40 euro a day in Venice so that was really good. And that's about it,to be completely honest. The room was very stuffy and smelled really bad when we went in, which really should have been a sign. The air-conditioning barely works it does not really cool the temperature even after hours of working. The bedsheets were decent enough, but the pillow is very flimsy. The fridge did not work. And... To get to the good part, please check the pictures attached. Whatever creature lived in that room definitely did not like us. My partner woke up with bites which after a few hours turned into wheals... I can see others have commented with being bitten also, my recomandation would be to avoid the place, as the risk is not worth it. The smell which seemed to linger all over the industrial area the hotel is in was there the whole 2 days also.
This is a little very hotel, it's a bit off the beaten track but if you don't want to pat top price you have to put up with that, it was easy to get to and is on a main bus route but beware the buses are a bit hard to get used to, one of them only goes straight through not to mallacantr . The hotel staff were really helpful and thee ss a lovely bar on the corner of the road where food and drink are very good.
