Very good and very standard hotel. Nice, spacious and clean room with nice bathroom. Big free parking. Fast WiFi without authorization. Good breakfast with decent choice of dishes and good coffee. Direct bus to Venice stops nearby hotel. You can buy ticket in hotel reception. Very nice and helpful staff. No problem with leaving car on hotel parking after check out. Easy accessible from highway.
Nice and safe location, close to the bus stop and 15-20 min to Venice . Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Clean and well decorated rooms and lobby. The breakfast was very delicious with varieties of fresh fruits, eggs, sausages, cheeses, cakes, pastries, cereals, and many mores, With pleasure will come again to this place.
Great hotel in Marghera with easy access to Venice — just pick up bus # 6 a 10 minutes walk away and it takes you direct to Piazza Roma in Venice for 3 Euros round trip. Great breakfast, free wifi, free parking. A good alternative to a Venice hotel.
We had a good stay in Venise. Hotel is near a bus stop so really easy to go into town. Receptionist are very helpful and persons at breakfast area are really professional. We would recommend this hotel.
Beds were uncomfortable,(single beds)rooms are clean, one hotel staff member was down right out rude and this is not the standard I'd except from Mecure anywhere in the world but thankfully threre was also some wonderful helpful staff,I didn't realise this hotel was so far from Venice or I wouldn't have stayed there (should have done my homework)restuarant was expensive and wouldn't accept my Accor card so we just went to a pizzeria which was yum,We wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
A terrific place to stay. Only a 20 minute bus ride to Venice. The Hotel rooms were spacious and well presented, friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic buffet breakfast each morning. Highly recommend a stay here.
The hotel access is easy. The hotel maintenance is really good. Staff at reception and at the restaurant are really nice, always attentive and supportive. comfortable furniture Nice room and very quite surroundings
This hotel is located in Marghera, not far from Venice. Good location, good infra-structure and good service. It is easy to take a 20 minutes bus to Venice. The bus leaves each 20 minutes. It is easy to find the hotel by car.
had some problems getting here from the airport, as the taxi ranks were highly disorganised (felt a bit like in vietnam where clearly everyone was going to overcharge you except here they can legally make you pay 55 euros for a 15 mins drive so the taxi drivers were busy smoking and not working). anyway, once you get here, things get better. well, maybe. arrogant and annoying reception staff. at check in, we were couple of hours early so he asked us to wait (fair enough). but he then asked us for our accors club card to verify the number on the booking, then he said but since this was booked via expedia, no points will be earned. well, then why did you ask for the accors card??? we naturally avoided this guy for the next 3 days. however, on the last day when we checked out, we had already booked a taxi with the local taxi company to go to the cruise terminal. the staff at the reception asked us about it, so we told him we are waiting for the taxi company so no need to worry. guess what, taxi came, we boarded. at the cruise terminal, the driver said he wasn't from any taxi company and didnt run on meter (we didn't check!!) so wanted to charge a ridiculous amount. clearly, hotel staff works hand-in-hand with taxi mafia. we still feel bad about the taxi driver (the one we booked for) who would have showed up later at the hotel only to find us missing. very dishonest practice here. as you can see, our impression of venice is decaying by the day. actually, by day 3 we had enjoyed touring venice, sightseeing and all. so apart from the incidents above, things were fine. there is a bus, as other reviewers said, to take you into venice which is quite regular and cheap. just make sure you take down the correct bus numbers and don't board the wrong ones. i can't think of anything outstandingly pleasant. the room was just average (clean though) and hotel lobby was comfy. for these i give two stars to this hotel. its just a shame that the staff really sucked and especially dishonest. if not for having to board the cruise, i would have reported the incident to the authorities. sure, venice is extremely touristy and it is perhaps not unusual to expect poor behaviour just to make a few extra bucks. but mercure being a brand of global standing should not condone such behaviour from its staff.
We booked five nights at the hotel believing we were only minutes from Venice city. Unfortunately we were 25 minutes by crowded bus each time we went into Venice, but the service was regular. The hotel is modern, the room was spacious and had everything we needed including a stylish bathroom and tea and coffee making. However when we arrived we were given a room on the western side and freeway side of the hotel and the temperature inside the room was 26 degrees. I tried to operate the air-conditioning to no avail and when contacting reception was told the aircon was not operational for the rest of the winter and that we would need to leave the window open. Needless to say we had a sleepless night and the next morning I requested a room change to the other side of the hotel. This was effected without fuss and we enjoyed our room for the other four nights of our stay. The breakfast was extensive each morning and the restaurant was convenient at night as there weren't any trattorias within walking distance of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and efficient. All in all the hotel is a great place to stay, but we would think twice about staying there again and commuting to Venice each day.
