NH Collection Venezia Palazzo Barocci4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed at the NH Collection Venice for 2 nights. Our room was modern, clean with a great outlook (a square not the Canal). Hotel is close to San Marco and Rialto Bridge, Shops and Waterbus stop (S.Angelo). Like the website suggests you get a wonderful view of the Grand Canal from the reception area. If you want to get off a water taxi in Venice and take a few steps to your reception then this is a hotel for you. The Great Bits: Location. The Good Bits: Staff, room size/condition. The Bad Bits: Tiny slow lifts (not much they can do about it).
My husband and I stayed 5 nights in this hotel. We were greeted with prosecco on arrival and a very friendly staff member sat us down to explain all the key spots in Venice- we were very impressed with his politeness and enthusiasm. The hotel was in a great location with the waterbus stop straight outside and it was walking distance from St Marks Square and Rialto. The room was slightly on the small size compared to other NH collection hotels but it was still a comfortable stay. We would happily stay back at this hotel and will return to Venice.
We stayed in Venice celebrating my husbands 50th birthday. The hotel staff helped me organize a special surprise in our suite- huge balloons and a birthday cake. Everybody in the hotel knew it was his birthday and made our stay super nice! The hotel is located on prime location overlooking the grand canal, making the travel from the airport very easy. Breakfast was great, delicious coffee and a big selection to every taste. The room is very modern and very romantic. We hope to come back soon- thank you.
The hotel is in a great location on the Grand Canal. 10 to 15 minutes walk from the main attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are typical of a city hotel, well appointed not big bug big enough, 4 night stay was very comfortable and easily long enough to do the cities sights
This hotel is situated in the heart of the Laguna and has incredible views of the Grand Canal. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink and relaxed check in, while a staff member sat down with us and gave us information about Venice. We asked for a Canal view room and were upgraded to a Junior Suite (204) which was absolutely stunning and features 2 big windows overlooking the Canal Grande. We also had a complimentary bottle of champagne. All of the staff were attentive and helpful and made sure all our needs were catered for. This all made our experience unforgettable and we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you and hope to return soon.
We have just left the Palazzo Barocci and I just had to write to share our fabulous experience. Visited Venice with my family for our son’s 21st birthday, I emailed ahead informing the hotel of our son’s birthday and requested a celebration cake, we were emailed back informing us this could be organised by the front desk on arrival. We were welcomed warmly and professionally by Livia, with welcome drinks and lots of useful information about beautiful Venice. When shown to our immaculately clean rooms we had been given a free complimentary upgrade to 2 junior suites, which was a wonderful surprise. The following morning at breakfast (son’s birthday ) the 2 very pleasant ladies who served breakfast each morning bought out a birthday pastry with a candle to wish our son a happy birthday. On the day of departure which was supposed to be midday, we were very kindly allowed a slightly later checkout at no extra cost. I would like to say this was our first experience of Venice and it was made all the more spectacular by this hotel and the staff they certainly get my recommendation and we can’t wait to return.
We have stayed in the Palazzo Barocci twice. On each occasion the service was wonderful, rooms a decent size, clean and well decorated. The optional breakfast represents good value. The hotel, from our perspective, is about perfectly located, being metres from the San Angelo vaporetto and Alilaguna stop on the Grand Canal, which is great for airport access and the number 1 vaporetto service. The Palazzo Barocci is a short walk (15/20 minutes) from the Rialto Bridge and market areas, and a similar distance from Pont de l'Academie. The hotel is well served by restaurants in the Campo Sant 'Anzola and Campo Santo Stefano areas - a few minutes walk.
With the ferry from the train station is in about 25 minutes directly at the hotel. The hotel is just 10 meters from the pier. The location was fantastic. You could reach everything on foot. The welcome was very warm. The room was modern, clean and very nicely decorated. The view to the Grand Canal was very nice. The only downside is that you occasionally hear the boats when mooring. That's why we would take room at the back next time. The breakfast was great. Unfortunately, the jazz music for breakfast was not the right one. Classical or Italian music would have been nice. In any case, this hotel is highly recommended.
Romantic environment, beautiful renovated old palace in the Grand Canal. Perfect location, close to the Rialto Bridge and not far from the San Marco Piazza. The superior room was a perfect choice, but don't expect to get views to the Canal, unless you pay for a Junior Suite, which is quite expensive.
The very best location - just few steps from Sant Angelo waterbus stop, and also near famous places of interests. Friendly and helpfull staff. Delicious breakfast. And brieftaking view on Grand Canal.
