We just spent 5 nights here and had a very nice time. Murano is so much more pleasant to stay in that Venice seems like it would be. It's like we were in a real neighborhood. The hotel is nice enough. Clean, quiet, enough room. OK breakfast. Good value. But Murano is what made the place nice. We were there for a glass class, so we would hop over to Venice each afternoon. The Vapporetto was easy to navigate.

Staff was nice. Breakfast was good and abundant. That said, they didn't have hot water for showering, so we ended up showering in almost completely cold water, in the middle of winter. Quite terrible frankly. Also the room itself wasn't that warm.

The hotel is roughly a 5 minute walk from the museum stop on the island of Murano. When you get off the Vaporetto, walk left, pass the coop market and turn right on the first street. To some, the street may look like an alley way. You will walk by a gelateria where an employee speaks excellent English. The hotel has two buildings. The main building has the hotel sign, reception desk and breakfast room, in addition to sleeping rooms. The hotel has free wi-fi. We stayed on the ground floor of the second building. Our room faced the street, where there was little noise, occasional footsteps of passersby. The room was a little, dark, but clean. Our room had an armoire and sufficient space for luggage. Our bed was comfortable enough for two adults. There was also a mini fridge, stocked with water, chips beer and wine (I think). Even though the prices were reasonable, we bought water and snacks at the market. The bathroom is small, but clean. The hotel does provide soap and shampoo, and there is daily housekeeping. Nothing fancy, but If you enjoy being around the locals, this is a good spot. We weren’t the only tourists staying there.

Glad we only had to stay there one night! When we arrived we were taken to the annex building which immediately looked far worse off than the main building. As soon as we entered our room the smell of damp was horrendous! We had to keep the window open all night, baring in mind it's pretty cold mid October. I was also constantly woken up throughout the night by a mosquito. Any perks? No not really. The bathroom was of a decent size but the towels has holes in. The photos of this place are extremely misleading and we were very disappointed. It wasn't exactly a value deal either. Do not stay here.

Liked the hotel, was decorated old fashion with many murano glass chandeliers. The breakfast had a good variety, and the fresh baked croissants were wonderful. Loved smelling the baking croissants each morning as we got up and got ready. The old world furniture and matching wallpaper and carpets were charming.

The worst hotel that I have stayed in, in a lifetime of travelling for work and pleasure. Where to start with the catalogue of disasters? The hotel is hidden in a back street that needs sat-nav to find, the manager was not even in the building when we arrived, a decorator had to phone him to come to the hotel. Rooms smelt of damp and drains, the bed was the most uncomfortable that I have slept, or tried to sleep, in. Continual noise at night , from what appeared to be a power station next door. The room was cold, with no heating control. Breakfast was pathetic, choice was what appeared to be Kraft cheese slices with dried ham, yoghurt some mornings, toaster that didn't toast, coffee maker that gave luke-warm coffee, and orange juice, if you were early enough and the machine still had some in. We went out for breakfast after the first day. I have tried, but can't find anything good or positive to say about this establishment. The best advice that I can offer is to stay elsewhere.

What a huge disappointment, we arrived at the hotel to be taken to an outside room, where we had 2 interleading rooms. The minute the door was opened my husband gagged from the disgusting smell the room had, it was dull, damp and smelly. The beds were like sleeping on pieces of wire, no foam for comfort on the matresses and the "beautiful hand made mirrors" have MOULD SPOTS all over them. We sadly had to forfeit our money as the owner has now refused to refund us, but we couldn't stay in those rooms and had to fine alternate accommodation. 3 star.......1 star is my rating!

Had the unfortunate experience to stay in ground floor rooms 1 and 2. We were moved to better accommodation on the first floor. We found that staying on the ground floor carpeted room caused allergy asthma. Room 2 sold as a double room was so small you could not open the wardrobe to put your clothes away. The toilet was so close to the shower my tall husband found it very difficult to fit on. Because of the tight angle of the toilet, in both rooms, the seat was falling off. Breakfast was chargeable at the start of the visit but became included by the end of the 4 day stay. Due, no doubt due to the poor take up of the service. A trip to the supermarket happily gave a better breakfast. The ground floor terrace doubled as bin store so smelt. Our improved family room was nicely decorated but poorly maintained. No ventilation system in the bathroom, other than a window, meant a the shower was happily developing mildew. Yes a nice quiet location and traditional decor but to the detriment of good basic housekeeping.

This hotel is reasonable priced for including breakfast, something that seems rare. The staff is very polite, and the decor of the hotel was very nice for us. Tapestry wallpaper, Venetian curtains and style, Murano glass chandeliers. The building was old and refinished throughout, but the furniture seems at least 100 years old and repainted by hand...high ceilings (note: not one stain anywhere) , beautifully repainted, with original wooden Venetian latching windows. I hope I described it correctly. We got one of the rooms with a private bath. The area is very tranquil and we did pay 7.5 euros each to come by water bus to Murano. It's actually wonderful because you want to make these kind of trips while in Venice. We split up the nights on our trip, and are staying in Venice for the last night. There are some great landmarks to visit right here on Murano.

Nice local style hotel on Murano, about 20 min boat ride from the Venice. If you prefer a more quiet environment away from all the tourists this is a perfect place for you. Rooms were clean and lots of space. Breakfast was OK. Staff friendly and helpful. Wifi a bit slow.
