Neither four star nor superior - watch out

We booked a "superior" room as an upgrade and what we got was anything but. It was a ground floor accessible room. The additional space was only to accommodate a wheelchair. The bathroom was abjectly terrible. Poor finishing, leaking sink, running toilet, stained stiff tap, and a dollar store plastic shower curtain between the toilet and shower which neither keeps the toilet area dry or gives you space to shower. At best you can use the toilet with wet feet and your knees against the curtain. We called this out to the desk and via Hotels support and the property just didn't care. We were given the choice to pay €20 to downgrade to the standard room, tiny but at least with a real shower, €100 to upgrade to the suite and no offer of even a partial refund. It seems that if there are actual superior rooms they have fewer than they sell. Then there's the added bonus that the carpet in the room was either worn, dirty or both but it was not a consistent colour, at least they gave us slippers so we could avoid touching it with our bare feet.

A great place for a vacation!

When we first checked in we were given room 321. The room was very disappointing. I asked to change rooms at first this was not possible but when I asked a different member of staff later in the evening they managed to move us to 213 the next day.

Family visit to Venice

Family trip. Chose to stay on Lido for a little more space and to be able to escape the city crowds. It did not disappoint. Villa Pannonia is a lovely, well kept, small hotel in a very convenient yet quiet location, just a block back from the restaurants and cafes on the main Street. Comfortable and clean room and a great breakfast buffet to start the day. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the woman working the breakfast area was very attentive and professional.
