The hotel is in an excellent location if you are going to Venice and a convenient place to stay and are willing to pay €80 which is $96 US. However the staff are the most disrespectful and rude I have ever experienced in traveling to 20 countries over the world over my 39 years of existence. Edwardo at the front desk is the slowest and most rude front desk person in the world. Rather than check us in and welcome us he took our passports and said he would take 1 hour to check us in. When we came back in an hour he was still not done and refused to give us our passports back. Perhaps he is running a black market passport scheme. Not sure. He then told us that breakfast was included then upon check-out charged us €20 for it. Edwardo tries to look "professional" but is factually so small and introverted that he fails to service the customer in front of him. Because he is so weak he fails to actually help the people at his hotel. I would highly recommend you just go somewhere else. Or take the three (3) hours that you would need to actually do the check in process standing there while Edwardo processes everything. Also there is no heat so if it is a cold night you will freeze all night long. There are no extra blankets. You need to use your room key to turn on the power and lights in the room. I asked him for a second key but that was going to be another three hours to process so I never got one. You need to get a specific username and password for every different electronic device to connect so we had to request three different times. I would highly recommend you go somewhere else if Edoardo still works there.
We were looking for a budget hotel, and this was everything we expected and more. Taxi from the airport to the hotel was around 40 euro I believe. Staff was exceptionally friendly, and answered all of our questions with a smile. Several places to eat right in the area. A easy 5 minute walk and you are at the train station. It costs 1.25 Euro each way to and from Venice, and a train leaves just about every 15 minutes all day long. You get dropped off at the boat docks, just pick up an all day pass and you can get all around Venice with ease. Highly recommend staying here if you would like to save some money, and avoid the crowds. Room was what you would expect in a budget hotel, clean, simple and quiet. Our room was about 10 steps from the front desk, but we never heard any other guests or noise. Bed was hard, but we found that in every hotel we stayed at on our Italy trip. If we visit Venice again, we will absolutely pick Hotel Regit to stay at again.
First the location is fantastic. It's on the 1st train stop from Venice which takes 10 mins and costs 1.25 Euro. Five min walk to the hotel from the station. The area however is a dump, scruffy with kebab shops, car parks and graffiti. So great for convenient travel with suitcases but far from scenic! The hotel itself is basic but very clean. My room had a safe and the air con is very good, as is the WiFi, get a code at reception. Do take shampoo and shower gel though, I had one tiny sachet which was awful watery stuff. I would have rated 4 as it's excellent value for money with ease of access to Venice except there was some confusion when I arrived. Not with the booking, but with the instant demand to retain my passport. In Italy they need to take it to take some details from it, it is the law, I checked! But they DO NOT need to hold on to it. I left it at reception with some concern and after checking I went to get it back. Reception man wasn't happy. I then had a phone call to my room that evening to tell me to bring my passport to reception or they would call the police. Great! When I took it straight down the new man on reception was perfectly pleasant, took the details and gave it back to me within 30 seconds. Therefore proving there was no need for the first man to keep it. so be aware of this. Apart from 'passportgate' the stay was fine, room nice and cool although not much view! There is a bar but I didn't use it, nor did I have breakfast so can't comment. Mixed bag but yes I would stay there again.
Very nice little hotel made better by the fantastic location. This is the place to stay when visiting Venice. Close to the bus/train station (take an ATVO bus from the airport) and just a short walk to the bus stop going into Venice. My room was on the 5th floor (lift only goes to the 4th) so nice and quiet and roomy. This is an older hotel but the interior has recently been modernized. The desk people were all nice and helpful (you can buy your city pass for the bus & vaporetto at the desk - well worth it) but especially Francesco. He was a big help explaining to me how to take the train to the Dolomites (don't miss them - but that's another review). The breakfast was really good - above average for a hotel buffet type with hot eggs, etc. Just one other thing: be aware that you'll have to pay your city tax in cash so hang on to enough Euro to do so.
Of course this is a rather basic hotel as is reflected in the prices, but you get very good value for money! The hotel is very clean, and I had during several visits always a good nights rest. Will always return when in need of a calm and comfy stay in Mestre. They have a cooperstion with a fantastic garage that takes good care of your car, and getting to Venice by train is very easy.
Very nice location as it is within two minutes to the train station and a few minutes walk to a bus stop where the bus can take you to Venice in ten minutes. I also had my bag stored there before and after my stay. The room is adequate for a simple stay. If you are looking for something fancy, go elsewhere.
I stayed here two nights on during short visit to Venice. Proximity to railway station and airport bus-stop are very useful. Hotel neighborhood looks like abandoned industrial area, but if one wants beautiful sceneary then one should be ready to pay Venice prices. There is a garage 200m from the hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and not that soundproof. Bathroom is ok, although shower is very small. Room was clean but blanked smelled bit old. Free wifi (ask for codes from the reception). Nothing fancy but cost-efficent base for exploring Venice.
Very good location and so much cheaper than staying in Venice. Mestre is quieter and a lot cheaper. Train fare is 1.25 and takes 10 mins !! Its a no brainer. The hotel is 5 mins walk from station and on the tram route. In a nice tree lined street. The hotel is so clean it is remarkable. Super room with everything you could ever want with a great wetroom. Very comfortable bed. linen and towels were changed twice in my 4 days. Breakfast is good but basic - typical continental and the staff were really nice. I would stay again when visiting the area without a doubt. Internet excellent and fast
Came here because I needed a place to stay at the last moment. Staff was really helpfull with everything, location is great, rooms are clean and very good priced. It`s close to the station, shops en restaurants are closeby too.
The hotel is easily accessible from train station if you come from airport. Considering that Venice accommodation price is high, this is one of the best location you might go as it is near to the island via a direct train which is near to the hotel. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is good. The price versus quality is acceptable.
