I absolutely loved staying here the Staff are friendly welcoming & Seviced is excellent. Room was clean view from window overlooking the water .... Absolutely fabulous would go back 😍. It was close to St Marks & excellent location love love love oh & breakfast is good too .

This hotel is about 10 mins walk east of St.Mark's Square with the crowds left behind you and the lovely Garibaldi street out front with the lagoon as a backdrop. It has great staff, especially Ricardo at the front desk and you can sit outside having breakfast looking over the boats coming and going. It is a short walk to a vaporetto station and the rooms are very comfortable with air conditioning and standard Venetian fittings. It is lovely to be able to wander around Giardino and then come back and relax in the downstairs lounge or in your room. Worst thing was the tiny entrance to the shower - a 1960s couple of sliding doors on a corner that did not allow anyone larger than a size 6-8 to enter the shower easily. Of course, you work out a system and we did. It is a lovely hotel, good colazione and comfortable rooms.

This little Pensione is close to the Arsenale vaporetto stop and only a few minutes walk from St Mark’s Square. We enjoyed it for its simplicity and the warmness of the welcome. No airs and graces and all quite simple, but for a single night in Venice it was more than adequate. We had room 204 which gave us splendid views of the Lagoon and we were given excellent restaurant advice and ended up joining a party at Georgio’s restaurant, a few minutes walk along the Via Garibaldi. The host produced a guitar and a neighbor and entertained the guests for a happy sing song and before long some jovial dutch ladies were dancing on the street. Breakfast was simple but very good, and we enjoyed capturing one of the outside tables and watching Venice wake up. Seeing the mums and the school kids being dragged off to school was a pleasure, and it all felt like open air TV.

We could be picky and moan about some of the hotel decor being a little tired, the breakfast being limited ( continental only) and small rooms but we won't . What it lacks in finesse is more than made up for by the location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. We had a room looking out onto the water and could have spent hours just watching the world ( and cruise liners) go by , glass of wine in hand. There are numerous bars and restaurants close by , and the main attractions are in walking distance .This Hotel doesn't try to be 5 star and in truth if it were it would lose its character and charm . Great stay and would stay here again

Forst the postiives- very good location, friendly staff, breakfast was good- although espresso from coffee machine wasn't! Our room (302 is the one to avoid!) though was not great- we were on the ground floor close to the recpetion/breakfast room which meant noise from around 6.30am. It was dark- it looked out on to the inner courtyard and our privacy was compromised everytime someone walked through it. Although the bathroom looked new enough the pipe came off the sink and flooded it. Looks like the same had happened with the toilet previously (there was tape around the pipe).

This hotel was the perfect choice for a 2 night break. The location is great for exploring most of the sights by foot. It is a about a 10-15 minute stroll from St Marks Square. The hotel is quite small but very friendly and has everything you need for your stay. The rooms are clean and are stocked well with towels, toiletries and a mini bar! The breakfast is set up in the reception area with small tables but the choice of food was sufficient for what we wanted. The staff really are great here and are happy to answer any questions and have a superb local knowledge. Would certainly recommend and I would definitely stay here again if we were to go back to Venice.

This was our second stay at this hotel, so we were obviously happy enough after our first stay in 2012 to return. Happily nothing that we like about this hotel seems to have changed too much. It is not the plushest of hotels but is clean and comfortable (although the Italians do seem to like hard beds!). It is 2 bridges (5 minutes) away from Arsenale landing stage so is very convenient for the Alilaguna from the airport, which takes a bit over an hour. The loyal and friendly staff are still dedicated to giving very good service. The WiFi in the room was good although the router had to be rebooted twice during the week which was quickly done when requested. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and tasty. This time, we went for a lagoon view room with a mini-bar and we were lucky enough to enjoy some spectacular sunsets from our window. It was a bit of a trek to the room and the lift only serves part of the hotel. When we came back from sightseeing on my wife’s birthday, a chilled bottle of Prosecco awaited us! Completely unexpected and with the compliments of the hotel. The hotel is 7 bridges away from St Mark's Square but has a wonderful open outlook at the front. So it was a welcome escape from the sometimes claustrophobic passageways of Venice. There is a Co-Op just a short walk up Via Garibaldi, some reasonably priced bars in the area and plenty of restaurants. Hopefully we will be able to return to Venice and, when we do, this is where we will be staying. The “bar” is VERY small but reasonably priced (€2.50 for a glass of wine). Once during the week we had to wait a few minutes for a breakfast table to become available but this was not a problem. This is a good value, pleasant place to stay for anyone who does not mind a bit of a walk, or boat trip, to the main tourist spots.

We were 2 friends enjoying Carnevale and chose this hotel because of its location in Castello, an area we hadn't stayed in before. We chose a room overlooking the lagoon and awoke to a lovely view of Venice each morning. The hotel staff were excellent - helpful and informative. The room was nicely presented and clean, although wardrobe space was a bit limited. Beds comfortable. Bathroom shower seat needed repair, but I made hotel aware of this and they said maintenance would deal with it. Breakfast was traditional continental. Hotel is set on a wide street which has plenty of bars and restaurants. Aliliguna, the boat to and from Marco Polo airport stops at Arsenale, which is approximately 300 yards from the hotel. A nice quiet area of Venice to visit and stay, especially after the hustle and bustle of the Carnevale celebrations in St Mark's Square. An enjoyable stay at this hotel. Will use again.

Lovely place around The Arsenale. We had a room with canal view. Noise from resataurants filtered but that's only because we chose a room right above. Lovely breeze and not crowded. Plenty of eataries in the area. Good view of the canal. Will definitely stay here again

We stayed here in mid Feb for part of carnival. No regrets what-so-ever! The staff we encountered were all first class. They had some work experience students helping and they were all lovely too. The room was fairly spacious and we got a free upgrade to a lagoon view which was great. The room was clean and maid service daily. The breakfast was a simple fair of breads, fruits, meats, cheeses, cereals ect.. not the largest choice but enough to fill your belly before a day of sight-seeing. The hotel was about 10 minutes walk from St Marks square with the Arsenale Vaporetto stop about half way in between. The street that the hotel is on has a supermarket and plenty of bars and cafes so you can have a local wander if your tired! All-in-all highly recommended!
