I had a third floor room with 360 degree panoramic balcony view. I felt totally insecure - my balcony was adjacent to an observation tower constantly climbed by visitors. At 9 pm on the second night two fellows leapt from the tower onto my deck and crossed my deck two feet outside my bedroom window. I called the front desk they said "oh someone probably jumped from the tower" we'll tell security" I wasn't aware of security coming up. I barely slept after that. Next day I complained at checkout front desk fellow said the manager had been briefed on the incident and that I could likely expect some "compensation on my reservation". That was six days ago - I have heard nothing as of yet. As a solo female traveller I felt very unsafe and was extremely unsatisfied with the room. Also it turned out the restaurant was closed for renovations and that was one of the reasons I had chosen the hotel. And air conditioning system was antiquated and noisy.

Location is fantastic - market is downstairs, had a view of quay and the military ships that were in. However, the balcony door didn't open at all, and the window only.opena a few inches - the A/C unit has certainly seen better days, so we felt a bit hot and stuffy in there. Shower pressure is quite weak, would have been nice to have a piece of artwork or two on the wall, and a bit of mold around the bathroom mirror.

Great location very easy to get everywhere from hotel. Had a fabulous room with own balcony overlooking the harbour no need to leave.

Our first night stay was awesome. Unfortunately the second night, some loud party people were in the room next to us, and kept us up all night. The hotel never did anything about it.

We would return again. Room was big and roomy. The ship like door added a special touch and staff impeccable and hardworking housekeepers. Beds are very comfy and supportive as we had a king suite.

Rooms small but comfortable. Would have like to see a better chair in the room. Computer desk chair not comfortable. Rooms service for breakfast was prompt and food came hot. Parking not great. Although we did not have a car we had company come visit and parking was costly. Great location to seabus and nearby restaurants. Great Canada celebration at the Shipyard

View was fantastic. Area is perfect as it was accessible to all commute (sea bus, taxi, bus). Market is just below which gives you more options on food aside from the hotels restaurant. Staff was friendly and very responsive. Would recommend the hotel 100%

Lovely stay at the Lonsdale Hotel. Beautiful outdoor areas and market to explore. Walking distance to restaurants, boardwalk and museum. Complimentary breakfast was a great way to start reach day.
