My family and I checked in on Friday, April 14 around 8pm. The lounge area was smelling of weed and smoke. Very dirty and filthy. We went to our and the smell was still present. Washroom was not clean with the toilet not flushed. The bed sheets on the bed had visible stains and marks. We were so tired after 13 hours of drive so retired to bed. We were so upset and disgraced to see a lodge in Canada with the Choice Brand to be of this pathetic quality. On Saturday my daughter requested some clean towels since the housekeeping staff did not clean our rooms. In a few minutes a female staff knocked our door and very rudely and aggressively accused us of complaining that there were not towels. This false accusations disturbed us severely as guest of a hotel. She angrily said that it was her time to go home and she was employed there for 20 years or so. My question is, do we care? we are guests and we do not deserve to be treated as low leveled beings. My family is so upset. I went to the front desk and complained immediately. The male staff said that she is having some personal problems at home. Now, do we care? Very unprofessional !!!! I would personal like the owner of this property to call me for this false accusation by a housekeeping staff to a checked guest. I would also request the Choice Hotel Brand to investigate the professionalism, training, health, security and quality standards before allowing them to market using CHOICE BRAND such poor quality hospitality establishments. Their website is very deceiving with no free breakfast. It is embarrassing for hospitality and tourism industry to have such lodge to accommodate international and also domestic tourist. We were disappointed with this location. We understood after talking with choice hotels by phone that there was a hot breakfast but nothing. No face cloths in the room and all the towels were of less quality then all stays except one other location. We had 4 rooms booked around us with some very noisy youth the had there doors open and met in the hallway for 1-2 hours. The front desk were reluctant to quieten things down. The check in and morning staff were very nice people and were new the area well and pointed us in the right direction for food and other destinations.

the bedding was dirty, smelled like puke. third night was awakened by front desk by phone to tell us that people were complaining about the noise, I was sleeping and my boyfriend was just dosing off, we were not making any noise. After being awakened couldnt get back to sleep. went outside to have a smoke and the room across from us and beside us were the noisy ones. when i returning to my room, i could clearly hear the noise in the room next to us, across from us and could hear the tv from the room on the other side of us. i could not hear anything from our room. i could not get back to sleep until 4:30 am and had to drive home tired with only a couple hours sleep. When i returned my key to front desk i complained to the clerk he was rude and really didnt care about our expierience. For $100 a night we should of at least had a clean bed and proper sleep. Would have been nice to have a smoking room so didnt have to go outside in the middle of the night, it was kinda scary. We would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and we will find another hotel to stay in next time in town. We will not return to this hotel. I would like my money back for a very unsatisfied stay.

Over the past few years my wife and I travelled throughout BC. Each trip required me to seek central Surrey accommodations that were clean, practical and affordable and the Econo Lodge on the King George Highway meets all the requirements. While staying there I met and spoke with Ranneet who works the front counter. He is very friendly, outgoing and willing to assist the guests in every way he can. With his approachable personality, it is a pleasure to stay there. Brian

We have stayed in this Hotel for about 3 times, it's our first choice when we come to Surrey from Alberta. The staff and management are very friendly and understanding and make you feel "at home". The price is right and the location is very good close to the highway and a short drive to shopping, The suites have been nicely renovated and the beds are very comfortable and clean, the Wi-Fi is good, air conditioned units are very quite, good shower and water flow. We definitely recommended !

First off Ronnie and his staff are trying very hard to make this hotel work. It is an older hotel in a not so great neighborhood. The public areas could use a good scrubbing and a coat of paint. Really our room was not that bad but the second floor hallway was so dirty that by the time we got to room we were looking for the worst. Needs work before I could recommend.

The room was congested and washroom was dirty as sink's drain was not flowing through. I wouldn't recent to anyone for this price. For the same price I had days inn in Nanaimo and was lot better than this econo lodge. Thanks to hotel.com!!!!

Loved the stay. Robin & his staff are wonderful people. Cant go wrong with this hotel. I would give them 5 stars British Columbia is a very scenic place to visit in Canada. A must in your lifetime. Just book in advance to avoid an expensive stay in Surrey. From: Thakurs

We stayed here on a whim because all the other hotels were booked. No breakfast included, dark room, stains in the bathtub and the walls. The toilet would not stop running either. Only benefit is you're close to the highway. Staff are miserable.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel and were immediately impressed by the friendly and helpful staff and the great rooms, (amazing, actually). There is a restaurant in the hotel, (different owners than the hotel) and there is no free breakfast.
