We spent three nights here on our way back to Seattle. The rooms were clean, checkin was easy. Breakfast is not included. They will give you a slight discount if you eat in their restaurant. The area has tons of food options and is located near major highways. The staff was very helpful when we asked to use their safe deposit box. I was thinking about going for a dip in the indoor pool but their were kid's swimming lessons going on in the afternoons. As a guest I personally would not want to swim in their tiny pool with a bunch of kids getting a swim lesson. So, I decided against the pool. The curtains were a little short so we were able to see a fair amount of light early in the morning, woke us up.
We asked for an hour earlier check-in and had no problem with that. The room keys were somewhat different. Just tap them or they don't scan. Our room was overlooking the highway and was very quiet all night. All of the room was very clean . Bed was definitely comfortable as we drifted off to sleep right away. One of the front desk clerks really needs to upgrade his English as it was so hard to understand, but all the other staff in the hotel were clear. This was great location and very easy to access. We would choose this hotel next time. Thank you.
We chose the Holiday Inn in Cloverdale because of it's location between friends in Langley and Surrey and nearness to Highways 10 and.15. We found a clean king room with convenient access to local shopping and restaurants. Staff was curious and friendly. The hotel is in good condition and everything worked. Wifi was fast for a hotel.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were all wonderful. Special thanks to teresa who was an absolte angel. She was helpful and friendly and organised special diets and a picnic. We were there for my sons wedding. Thanks also to ali, jesse, daisy and sachin. We are all still talking about it and recomending it. The rodeo is just down the road. There are shops opposite and the bus stops right outside. Great place and wonderful people.
We've stayed at this hotel several times. Clean and quiet rooms insure a great night's rest. Good location to get around. Small indoor pool is great for kids. Disappointed that we could not use room service breakfast, due to Father's Day Brunch. You would think that the comfort of paying guests would supersede someone coming for brunch only. I will think again about staying here, as we always stay the night before Father's Day (past 3 years).
We stayed for a night before attending a family event. It's location helps - close to the US/Canada border, accessible from Hwy 91 and 99. We had two queen (full beds) beds. The room is clean and tidy, bed is comfortable, pillows are just right, towels smell good.
It's true, unless you are paying in American dollars then this place is really very expensive, and even more so on holiday weekends. That said, if you are heading into Vancouver then you might as well stay here as it is on the way, convenient, and still less expensive than properties closer to downtown. We were staying here for access to the rodeo and skateboard contest so the location was fantastic. 3 nights this weekend was the equivalent to a weekend in Vegas including airfare so I'm just warning tourists ahead of time...other local accommodations not much cheaper, by the way. You should get the room rate that includes 'free' breakfast in the attached restaurant/pub, it's very much worth it though shop around online between websites and those offering prices in CDN and USD; they do vary a lot and we ended up paying about 4 dollars each day for breakfast for two, other sites were much more expensive. The property is very clean and well-maintained. It looks like private swimming lessons were happening in the pool ever day we were there, never did see any teens or families using those facilities. Rooms are also clean, well-appointed and comfortable. You can hear conversations from adjacent rooms in the bathroom occasionally (through the vent)... Bottom line: Awesome location for the rodeo grounds, walk to liquor, grocery, casino and restaurants, plenty of free parking and very close to the border with good access to both the USA and Vancouver. Just realize that hotels cost a lot in the Lower Mainland, just check out what a house is 'worth'...
Great location if you are going to the rodeo or casino or ice arena. Hotel is modern, quiet & clean. Has free parking, a small pool, exercise room, business centre, laundry and a great little restaurant. Close to gas, fast food, groceries, drug store and banking. We ate dinner at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised when the live blues band started up. The food was reasonably priced and hotel gave guests a 10% discount. I had the $10.95 pizza special and my husband had a chicken salad ($15 ish). Both were good sized, tasty and came up quickly. All staff we had were friendly and accomodating. Air conditioning works extremely well. Hotel rate was more than I would usually pay, but it was "rodeo weekend". We'll be back next year!
I stayed one night for business. Hotel had ample parking and easy access. Staffeas friendly and professional. Lobby and room was clean. Restaurant is attached and convenient. I received a breakfast voucher for a free entree but I'm not sure if that was due to my corporate rate. I also received 10% off coupon for a dinner. As I faced a busy street there was some street noise. There was a small pool but I did not make use of it but it looked clean and well appointed. A pleasant stay in Surrey East/Cloverdale.
I booked the hotel a month in advance since I was driving to Surrey to attend a wedding. Check in went great it was when I went to my room that I realized I had a handicap accessible room which meant that I did not get a proper bath tub. Having just driven through 12 hours of pouring rain and fog I was looking forward to having a hot bath before I got in bed. I went and checked with reception about changing rooms since I had booked a standard room. They were full and not willing to switch my room with another since they were staying for longer period than I was. I was told that when I booked it meant they could put me in any room they had available unless I had requested having a specific room. When you book make sure you are specific in your requests! The one plus was the room was huge. I had a corner unit. The tv was pretty far away from the bed so it was a little difficult to see. And when having a shower the water got all over the floor so I had to lay towels everywhere. The hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I did have breakfast at the restaurant which I received a discount for when I checked in. The food was good and there was a ton. There is a grocery store just across the street from the hotel.
