I hate having to write this review. But I know I felt okay staying there from reading the reviews so I owe it to someone else to save them that hassle. On the plus side, the gentleman who checked me in was kind and caring and I didn’t feel unsafe in the room. On the negative side, the room was not clean. I didn’t go in looking for problems (I backpack and trek through other countries and am fine with rusticness), but the first thing I saw when I went into the room was the stains on the bedspread. The shower had a used washcloth in it. There wasn’t a surface I felt like I could trust not to be dirty, as I noticed the desk in the room had coffee rings and coffee grounds and crumbs on it. The floors were either dirty or weirdly marked up with tar? The bed didn’t have a fitted sheet which would normally be fine but it started to come up when I tried to get in bed and I was having visions of ending up on the mattress and it gave me the ick very bad. I stayed one night, as I didn’t really have any other options with it being Valentine’s night. But I only managed to sleep a couple of hours, left immediately the next morning, and got a different hotel for the second night when I had originally planned to stay here. Double paying was worth it to get a good night sleep. I had booked this room because it was rated above many other motels in the area, and was much cheaper. Honestly, I would’ve paid more to have a clean room.

The staff was super friendly and kind...Nick even upgraded me to a king bed room at no additional cost. The room was unique and a fun place to stay if visiting the area. Would recommend updatinf the bathrooms a bit, specifically the showers which had quite a few quirks to put it nicely. Really enjoyed the home-like/cottage feel and the fun colors throughout both the room and the property. Will be back next time I'm in the area😊

There was no stay. I arrived around 7:30 pm and was told I had no reservation and they were sold out. I had to have a piece of paper this my reservation printed out .

Room was clean, not noisy, I really liked the colorful theme perfect when in the desert!! Als staff was super friendly, the owner gave me a lot of useful advice thanks again u made my day!!! Even had a luggage scale! Perfect starting point when u wanna see the sunrise in Joshua tree
