This place is it so relaxing nothing luxuries if your use to that but it is a great place clean and right at the beach, the staff are very friendly and the person on the desk very helpful with information about what activities were available to do and much more I would go back to the same place

It’s amazing how much great pillows and strong wifi means when you’re on vacation. We loved this little spot. We came during the time when seaweed covered the shore so we couldn’t enjoy the beach but it was still nice to sit in the shore and the pool was perfect for the 4 of us. Pizza across the street is fantastic and pasta next door was delicious. The shabby chic bohemian style of the hotel really makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Highly recommend!

Punta Piedra Is a small quaint hotel right in the middle of an area that had lots to choose from as far as restaurants, bars, beaches, shops and etc. We were just around 4 miles from the town of Tulum. There is a bike trail or place to walk it if you are so inclined. It was nice to be in such an area. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and nice. If we needed anything all we had to do is ask. There is a restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast was included with our room and other meals, snacks and drinks were available for purchase. The pool was small but wonderful to come back to at the end of a day of tours or exploring. Our room was clean and stocked with towels, coffee, tea and water and we had a small fridge if needed. All in all we enjoyed our trip and would return to this property.

It was exactly as advertised and on a great section of the main beach strip. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean room, helpful staff. They helped me call my shuttle for the airport and had good recommendations on taxi pricing. The food is a little overpriced but it is so convenient to get your meal right there and eat on the beach :) their fish and shrimp tacos are really good! There is a bike rental place right next door which is super convenient. The hotel is not as secluded as I had thought from the photos. It is basically in the middle of the hotel zone and is surrounded by other small hotels and restaurants. Having said that it was not too loud at night and it was only a ~2mile bike ride to downtown if I needed anything. I used the banks downtown for cash--there is an ATM on the property but it was often out of cash and seemed less reliable. There is an air conditioning unit in the room that you can turn off during the day. The shower doesn't have a curtain or door just FYI but this was not an issue. I was very happy with my stay overall!

Hotel was amazing and staff was very friendly and helpful. Very unique feeing staying at this place and the restaurant was also great. The beach area Setup was a paradise!

Amazing hotel with incredible staff! Great central location as well.

This hotel is a GEM. The decor is shabby chic, impeccably clean (as much as you can be on the beach because it is ON the beach), super friendly staff. The A/C in the room actually works, which we found is different in some other hotels offering A/C in tulum. Includes a decent breakfast. There’s even a small pool. Great stay.

We had a great time at Punta Piedra for three nights. The rooms are cute and quaint, with a comfy king size bed, a nice balcony that we set up a hammock on, and a beautiful view of the Atlantic. The little strip of beach is shared with two other hotels and was very lovely. Just get up, grab a complimentary breakfast (either omelette or pancakes, fresh fruit juice, breads, and coffee) and go read or play on the beach. The farther hotel from PP was clothing optional on the beach, it was not a big deal, but there was some nudity. The hotel staff were all friendly. The hotel is situated in a main thoroughfare of the beach road, which is a two lane road that does get congested from time to time. Just south 2 miles are some great spa's restaurants and shops, and of course the entrance to the biosphere nature reserve. We had a great time here and I'd recommend PP to any travelers who were looking for a similar experience.

Hotel located right off the beach. Charming interiors but room lacked window that could open for ventilation during sleeping hours. No a/c which we were aware of. Bathroom needs updating. Cracked sink and vanity. Beds fairly comfortable.

If you are looking for A/C,TV, gym or other "gifts of civilization" this is not your choice; This is just a charming escape from everything - like coming back in time; Just relax and enjoy stunning views of Caribbean sea right from you room;

Great staff, wonderful benefits of complimentary breakfast and welcome cocktail! Beautiful property with the great touches of character!

Such a wonderful experience! Such a cute hotel! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant Mivida located in the hotel was wonderful! Great location! Easy bike trip to all restaurants, the ruins and town!

We had a wonderful stay. The beach front location was exactly what we wanted. The staff was extremely friendly. This was our first time in Tulum and we felt like we were really lucky with the location. It is a very mellow and private feeling beach. After exploring other areas in Tulum we realized how unique and peaceful our spot really was!

the only negative ... which is a minor issue is the shower. The water pressure was not great .. but that is all.

This hotel has lots of character and the property is cute. Has its own private beach with lounge chairs in hammocks. Small plunge pool that came in handy to just hang out at. Very cute palapa style rooms but the inside could use some work. The rooms felt a little dirty and the water pressure was awful. We had a back room and a private patio which was great- but the room itself got no ventilation and the only open window we had was the front door. Our first night the power went out for almost the entire night and it was uncomfortably hot. Even when the power was on and we had two fans the rooms was still musty and hot. We asked to change rooms each day but they said they were fully booked. From working in hotels I do not understand why they were not able to accommodate us. We saw people checking out and new people checking in so they very well could have moved us around since we were there for 3 nights. We loved the property and I am sure if you get a room in the front you will get a breeze from the ocean. When checking out they told us we had to pay for the 2 extra people we had. I was unaware of this and asked why he didnt tell us that when we checked in. The cost of an extra person he said is for extra towels and the free breakfast which neither of those things we got. We had breakfast in the morning and we only received 2 free ones and paid for the other 2- so not sure what the extra charge would be for.

My wife wanted to spend time in cabanas on the ocean and the hotel looked like a good choice. But it is not. The pictures are nice but in reality we got a room in an ugly building (not a cabana) near the road. It had a balcony directed to the coast ("sea view"). The surrounding area is not impressive too. The beach is dirty with weeds, the cafes accepts cash only, ATM does not work good (need to get to the town), no walking path for pedestrians, need to share road with cars. Probably it is normal for this area but we were not prepared. And yes, price for that is way high.
