A friend and I were looking for a good hotel/motel to stay in for two days while in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We thought motel 6 would be great since it has an indoor pool. Boy we were wrong. We get to our room and the room smells of cigarettes. We asked for a smoke free room. The beds were half way made up. Blankets are thin like paper and had burn holes in them. You can even see dead roaches in the blanket. Toilet was dirty and "ran" constantly. Smoke detector missing from room. This motel does not offer complimentary items such as soap, shampoo, coffee maker, iron, etc. They do not honor the pricing on their billboard. It rained on the first night here. Some parts of the ceiling leaked. Only on way to get to the fitness room which is going past the pool. They have a canteen area but the items that sell are overpriced. I do not recommend this place.
I stayed at this motel 6 in late October 2018. The whole experience was just awful. Poorly lit parking lot (in itself not a big deal but it adds up) with unsecured entrances that all had people who seemed intoxicated smoking cigarettes in front of every door. Front desk was ok but had a female, not a guest she was just hanging out looking for a ride, cussing and hollering about I am not sure what. The front desk gal did not even look at or address the female hollering at all. This also does seem to be the sort of motel that people live at, not in itself a bad thing but it does bring an increase of theft, poor behavior, and drugs. When I opened the door to my room dozens, literally DOZENS of roaches scurried across the room. I had my dogs and it was late so I had no choice or I would have left. I did not feel safe to sleep in my car. I slept fully clothed with every light on after chasing down and smashing about 30 roaches. There was a plant from outside growing out of the AC/heat register (which did not work at all, would not even turn on). Loud all night, slamming doors, and some one tried to steal my hitch off my SUV-glad I have it locked on securely- they were out banging on it trying to get it off at 1 am. I left after no rest and the front desk (new one) acted surprised when I mentioned roaches. It was obvious she knew darn well the whole place was infested with them. DO NOT STAY HERE. If I can warn at least one person I am glad to do so. There were no recent reviews here when I cam through-if I had known I would have stayed elsewhere. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Upon arrival, it’s very nice, plenty of parking. Savannah at the front desk was great and accommodating. Went to the room, and noticed a few bugs - which they said they just sprayed (you could smell the bug spray) our tv didn’t work, so on way back to room from telling the FD, this man (no form of name tag or uniform) said he worked at the hotel and he was following my fiancé around and saying horrible stuff to him and even told him he was going to knock his head off which I took as a threat and called the police (guy named Mike supposedly is a maintenance worker, was telling us he was the owner) and some other guy came to fix the tv - but tried to fight my dude in the hallway and all of the other guest were coming out their rooms and it was very unprofessional— if he is maintenance, he does not need to be working at the hotel, it’s obviously not for him if he just wants to argue with people. We aren’t from here and don’t know anyone and for someone to threaten us is a pretty big deal. I deserve something for the inconvenience, especially since the tv didn’t work, and bugs and then the heater blew cold air and it’s 20° outside. So overall not very satisfied but it was a place to stay as I’m traveling for business.
Standard Motel 6 chain motel. Nice enough and inexpensive. Room was clean and water got nice and hot. Staff was competent but the air conditioner didn't do a very good job of warming the room. Typical hotel of this chain.
The interior of the hotel, as well as the room, were acceptable. The staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the hotel is not at all secure from the outside. The doors remain unlocked and completely accessible to the public. Granted, we did not experience any safety issues during our stay, but it is rather unnerving knowing that there is nothing stopping non-guests from entering the hotel. I would consider staying here again, but not until the hotel is secured.
Very nice and accommodating However, the room reeked of cigarettes It was a non smoking room I asked for, checked to be sure they understood, etc They must be like so many others that think non smoking means no one smoked in it in the last ten minutes It was torture but after my long flight I was too tired to complain
The room was ok. The beds were so thin. The AC would not get cold. The remote to the tv was missing had to go get one. The remote they gave us did not work. There is no elevator to room so if you have a lot of luggage it sucks carry it up stairs. They are remodeling the place they said it really needs it. The check in was ok but she was to busy calling maintence to fix something.
This was an older hotel. The rooms were old along with the furniture. It was in need of repair. The meeting rooms and cub attached were nice and roomy for our event. The price was very reasonable. The staff seemed laid back and since I was rarely in the room it worked for me.
I stayed here for several days on business. The hotel was disgusting but--being in the oil field--that's nothing new for us. My review is for the management who doesn't deserve HALF of a star. We had 6 rooms reserved and checked out on a Wednesday but we were charged for 2 more nights in all 6 rooms. This hotel currently owes me over $600. I've been calling several times a day every day for 5 days now and haven't heard one word from the thief of a manager. The front desk lady (who has, I must add, remained very cordial through my obsessive calls) flat out told me that THE MANAGER SITS IN HER OFFICE WITH THE DOOR SHUT AND TELLS HER TO GO AWAY when I call. Seriously? What has happened to simple respect? Much less GOOD BUSINESS? Do NOT stay here. I regret even giving these people access to my credit card.
Wonderful staff, great heated indoor pool, and awesome prices. It's also close to the airport with shuttle service. Definitely gonna stay here again. Originally heard bad things before I stayed here but as a guest I found that it's under new management and the motel is on the up and up.
