Older hotel that is well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly. Overall atmosphere and area are a little sketchy. Small outdoor pool. Inexpensive and nice kitchen area. Room sizes are accommodating and spacious.
Was in Tucson for work and this was the closest Marriott property to where I needed to be. It's all about points and maintaining my gold status (50 nights a year). First off, Jose at the front desk was cheerful and efficient. My colleague and I were parched when we arrived and it was nice to have an iced orange drink available to drink in the lobby. My room was cozy studio with small kitchen and a queen-size bed. My Marriott profile asks for foam pillows and extra towels (for when my kid is with me) and most hotels forget about it. This one made point of mentioning they were in my room already. A nice touch. The only nit I would pick was the carpeting seemed dirty on the second floor landing of the "B" building, but I'm hoping that will be cleaned the next day.
Checked in after a 18 hour drive. We were hoping to get into a nice comfortable and clean room for some rest. Unfortunately after receiving our room key we walked into the room that had someone in it. We went to the front desk and were assigned another room. As soon as we opened the door to our new room it smelled of insect spray. It was not clean... bed sheets were dirty! We called the front desk and we were given sheets to change ourselves. After changing the sheets I begin to itch, I was extremely uncomfortable. Air conditioner did not work properly as well so we Were sweating. We would not stay here again! We left and went to another hotel. The only nice thing was the staff that is it!
- The room was good, no issues there (expect the shower faucet to be the most complicated thing) - The breakfast was good, lots of variety that kept me going through the day, though when it got busy there were not enough seats - Comfortable beds, the pull out couch mattress hurt Overall quality of the rooms and area was nice! Now the bad part, I have an individual in my party that can be quite difficult to work with, this is something to preface* We arrived late to the hotel, probably around 11 if I recall. I went in to help with the process as it seemed my friend was taking longer than usual to get another room for our group. Jose, the receptionist/manager, immediately struck me as someone who was frustrated and uncomfortable. Though he was polite with me, as I am respectful towards those I work with, he did not give the same respect to my group member trying to get us an additional room. Though I was not there when they were interacting, I was told that my group member was accused by Jose of having fake bills after trying to pay with his credit card (which I was told Jose swiped the card incorrectly and did not listen to my group members instructions). Additionally, when I was sorting out the rooms with him, he made snarky remarks to the woman we have contact with over the phone, saying to her so all could hear, "Kmartee is helping me with the process, CORRECTLY" and saying that my group member could not handle this process and the reason for this was because he was young and uncivilized. We are the same age, AND as a Native American group this was ESPECIALLY rude. He also ignored my group member on several instances during the process. Now, at this point we finished the process and Jose and myself sorted the payment out. I thanked him for working with me to get the rooms, but I also informed him that I did not appreciate the way he spoke to my group member and that I wished he would carry more professionalism in his position (especially as a manager) and with this comment he only spoke back at me without any apologies. I was misinformed about the location of our room (specifically the room under my group members name, coincidence?) as well as information regarding times for breakfast, and information entered in the computers on the reciepts were spelled incorrectly and were incorrect (having to fix this later on). Though the last points are minimal, they took a factor in our planning and irritability through this interaction. The other receptionist, (Amy?) was very nice and cooperative, no complaints here, just complaints about Jose. Overall, good hotel. I hope you don't have to interact with Jose, he is a mess.
This place has it all. It's location is close to shopping and restaurants. It's just off a major road but extremely quiet. The rooms have kitchens, queen beds, a sofa, and a desk. The free breakfast is good enough (it's free, I won't complain). The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is somewhat small. There is a gas grill that is free to use and the staff has all the utensils you need. I'll be back.
Our local friend recommended this place. It was as central as we could ask for. Spent 4 nights. Superior staff, clean and comfortable. Some problems with plumbing but it was quickly resolved. We were put into handicap room as the hotel was that full. It was great to be on ground floor, near the breakfast area and front door. Loved the Dairy Queen next door.
We couldn't be more pleased with our stay. Vincent at the desk, and all of you, thank you. Our room was clean and welcoming. Our room had a fridge dishwasher stocked cabinets with clean dishes and silverware. There was also a stove top with a couple of burners. Thermometer smelled so clean and fresh. There is also a little store by the front desk hat carries essentials, snacks and drinks. The breakfast was amazing and low stress. They have a large eating area. Most importantly, the incredible staff made this stay perfect! Thank you!
While attending the International Gem and Mineral Show I decided to hang my hat for a few days at the Twon Place Suites. I have stayed at much more expensive hotels but the staff and accomodations here put most others to shame. This Marriott is run right and treats everyone like they are special and very appreciated. Beatrice ( the front desk manager ) was alswys on the spot and one of the most sincere persons I have had the privilidge of lodging with in quite a while. HEr staff of the front desk and house keeping resulted in one of the nicest stays I have ever had in Tucson. Did I mention clean rooms - not a dust molecule anywhere. The breakfast was standard faire , a bit heavy ( as all are) on the carb side , but the eating area was clean and the serving staff attentive. YOu have to look them up as it is just off the Oracle main drag , but you will not be disapointed. Thank you to the entire staff.
This is a very nice hotel with well-equipped brooms. The thing I like is each room has a king size bed and then a sofa that pulls out making a double bed. The bathrooms were nice and the linens and towels were excellent The sweets are all equipped with a full-size fridge microwave stove and all the utensils and dishes. The parking was easy and the staff was very nice. We did not get to partake of the breakfast because we had to get to play in very early so have no comment on that This is a nice hotel to stay at
