I was having trouble finding a vacancy in Richland this month. My Marriott gold status helped me book a suite at this property. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the suite quite comfortable.
Great location near the river and a good walking track nearby. Hotel room was very comfortable and everything worked well. Bed was comfortable. Staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. We left really early in the morning but was nice to be able to pick up a coffee and some bananas to go. Would stay here again if we are ever in the area.
I've stayed here several times. It's OK. The breakfast lags demand, the carpet is tired, they won't have a cot ready even if you've got it on your reservation. The "good" outweighs these relatively minor issues. It's always very clean, the staff is always very polite, and the location is exceptional. My family of 6 can fit in their "family" suite. The website and Marriott policy only allow 5, but it can fit 6 pretty well. All 4 of my kids are adult sized and the only tight fit is for the two that have to share the full-sized sofa sleeper. We'll likely return, especially when Marriott makes this a cat 2 hotel with very affordable award nights via Marriott points.
I made my reservation online from the hotels website, specifically for the room style and beds needed, as we were bringing three adults and three children. Upon arrival was told that no more rooms with a sofa bed were available because the young clerk had been giving those away during the evening instead of saving the reserved ones. We had to prove from our reservation that it was not merely a "request" but a specific room reservation. Unfortunately for them, they had to give us a second room free to accommodate us. Others at the desk were complaining that they had problems with their room assignments, or lack of. Our second room's AC was not working, only the fan blowing warm air on us all night. Zero pool towels were available. Zero extra towels were available. When walking by the hotel's laundry room, I looked in and saw it piled floor to ceiling with dirty laundry. Big staffing problem apparently. Maintenance all over was visibly lacking. We won't go back.
If you want to golf the Columbia Point golf course you couldn't get closer. This is a real great location for a night away as Anthony's is also right across the street. Seems like a nice place to stay on a golf get away!
Stayed at the Towne Place Suites while on business. The room was comfortable and fairly roomy. I worked from the room for a great deal of the trip and encountered no problems. There was plenty of room to spread out and a nice big table to spread out on with my computer and files. The lighting in the work area could have been better as it was away from the window. Linens and toiletries were adequate for one person but two or more occupants would have had to ration the shampoo. The TV was a bit small but channel selection was good. The fitness room was above average; roomy and had a good selection of equipment; including dumbbells and a good bench. The breakfast was somewhat a disappointment but it was free and had hot an cold items, including eggs. The staff was pleasant but not very personable, which is not a big deal for me. The location was somewhat scenic with the river nearby and a walkway. A golf course was very near as well. Restaurants were nearby and there was easy access to the freeway
We had a great three-night stay here. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and professional. Ana, in particular, was very helpful with everything from suggestions to providing a razor (and shaving cream!) for my husband, who forgot to pack his razor. Just nice people doing a great job. The staff was also supportive when we wanted to have some family members join us in the breakfast area in the evening for pizza one night. No problem having Pizza Hut deliver, and we had a nice place to hang out. (Remember to ask Pizza Hut for your plates, napkins, forks, etc.) Highly recommend this hotel! Thanks, Ana!
This hotel is less than 5 years old. It has comfortable beds, free breakfast, local & USA Today newspapers, and a variety of room styles (King studio and 1 bedroom suite). We are staying in a 1-bedroom suite. It has 2 TVs, a hide-a-bed couch, king bed, work station, roll-around table/desk, dishwasher, stove with oven, and a fridge that holds a lot of food. The place welcomes your dog with a nominal pet cleaning fee ($20/day with a $150/stay upper limit). It will be our home for about 2 months, so the extra space and amenities make it better than a normal hotel. The staff is excellent.
my wife and I spent one night here while returning home from a trip to Bozeman. it was great value for the money. Clean, well appointed room, and very friendly staff, plus free hot breakfast (though admittedly the latter was nothing special). my only knock was that the free internet was extremely slow. however the enhanced internet was fine.
A group of us stayed here as part of a conference that was being held at a Federal Facility nearby. I am quite an energetic person, so I tend to need a good fitness center and a place to rent a bike. The hotel had some cruiser bikes that were free for guests to use. There is a nearby bike path that goes for miles. My favorite person was Ana, the night time front desk rep. She was AMAZING! Wonderful customer service, positive attitude, and really kind. Other staff members had a similar attitude. This hotel is near the Columbia river (like right across the street from the boat ramp). There are several restaurants that are also across the street (Lulu's and Anthony's) and there's a grocery store (cash only) and a sporting good store about a mile down the road. I would stay here again. Rooms were clean, free breakfasts actually included hot foods (I am used to TPS's having only a light breakfast, but this one had everything from eggs, meats, and hot oatmeal to hard boiled eggs, fruit, bagels, and more).
