This was a very nice property located near the river. Its near a highway, so it can be a bit noisy nearer the road, but I didn't really notice it on my visit. Room is well appointed with everything you need for an extended stay. The front desk staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Nice, but small business area. Breakfast area can be a bit small with larger groups, but was never uncomfortable. Close to 3 restaurants (LuLu, Anthony's, and Budd Broilers) with a grocery store and Starbucks at the end of the street. Across from a park so you can get some exercise in if you like. I would definitely visit this location in the future.
I have stayed at this property multiple times now and have become more disappointed with it with each stay. The desk staff are extremely pleasant, but it stops there. This is a newish property and it is literally falling apart with many maintenance problems that are not addressed. The windows offer very little in the way of sound proofing and the adjacent Interstate Highway is so loud it is difficult to have a conversation on a cell phone. The last straw for me was not being able to extend my stay. I am Lifetime Platinum, Platinum Premier Elite....answer was just no, we are sorry. No offer to help locate another room....nothing. I am very loyal to Marriott, but not in Richland,WA anymore. I guess I will be working on my Hilton status for the next 6 months in Richland.
It was a last minute trip and the travel folks set me up in the TownePlace. The staff was excellent in checking me in and providing information. The room was clean, comfortable, and it had a nice couch, kitchenette, useful furnishings, and great closet and drawer space. Even though the room faced the highway, which was not that close, it was quiet. The breakfast was typical but it was a good start to the day. Overall, for the cost, this was a very good place to stay.
I stayed overnight at the Towneplace Suites in Richland and it was great. Comfortable room and friendly staff. Good area to walk in and close to the freeway. I would recommend this lodging to anyone travelling to the Tri-Cities area.
I was having trouble finding a vacancy in Richland this month. My Marriott gold status helped me book a suite at this property. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the suite quite comfortable.
Great location near the river and a good walking track nearby. Hotel room was very comfortable and everything worked well. Bed was comfortable. Staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. We left really early in the morning but was nice to be able to pick up a coffee and some bananas to go. Would stay here again if we are ever in the area.
I've stayed here several times. It's OK. The breakfast lags demand, the carpet is tired, they won't have a cot ready even if you've got it on your reservation. The "good" outweighs these relatively minor issues. It's always very clean, the staff is always very polite, and the location is exceptional. My family of 6 can fit in their "family" suite. The website and Marriott policy only allow 5, but it can fit 6 pretty well. All 4 of my kids are adult sized and the only tight fit is for the two that have to share the full-sized sofa sleeper. We'll likely return, especially when Marriott makes this a cat 2 hotel with very affordable award nights via Marriott points.
I made my reservation online from the hotels website, specifically for the room style and beds needed, as we were bringing three adults and three children. Upon arrival was told that no more rooms with a sofa bed were available because the young clerk had been giving those away during the evening instead of saving the reserved ones. We had to prove from our reservation that it was not merely a "request" but a specific room reservation. Unfortunately for them, they had to give us a second room free to accommodate us. Others at the desk were complaining that they had problems with their room assignments, or lack of. Our second room's AC was not working, only the fan blowing warm air on us all night. Zero pool towels were available. Zero extra towels were available. When walking by the hotel's laundry room, I looked in and saw it piled floor to ceiling with dirty laundry. Big staffing problem apparently. Maintenance all over was visibly lacking. We won't go back.
If you want to golf the Columbia Point golf course you couldn't get closer. This is a real great location for a night away as Anthony's is also right across the street. Seems like a nice place to stay on a golf get away!
Stayed at the Towne Place Suites while on business. The room was comfortable and fairly roomy. I worked from the room for a great deal of the trip and encountered no problems. There was plenty of room to spread out and a nice big table to spread out on with my computer and files. The lighting in the work area could have been better as it was away from the window. Linens and toiletries were adequate for one person but two or more occupants would have had to ration the shampoo. The TV was a bit small but channel selection was good. The fitness room was above average; roomy and had a good selection of equipment; including dumbbells and a good bench. The breakfast was somewhat a disappointment but it was free and had hot an cold items, including eggs. The staff was pleasant but not very personable, which is not a big deal for me. The location was somewhat scenic with the river nearby and a walkway. A golf course was very near as well. Restaurants were nearby and there was easy access to the freeway
