Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo-Shiodome

Beautiful hotel in the business district of Shiodome. Rooms were spacious compared to other rooms we stayed in, in Tokyo. We were able to open our two carry ons and a big luggage all at the same time in the room which is unheard of in japan. There's a tiny closet with a few hangers which is where we left some of our luggage. Night gowns are provided by the hotel each night. Our queen sized bed was rather firm as well as the pillows, which I also found to be common in Japan. Free breakfast is awesome and available from 6-9:30am on weekdays and till 1030 on weekends. The staff is friendly and are able to speak English quite fairly. Do ask them if you need a limousine bus to Narita airport which is available for $31 USD/person. Overall it is a clean hotel, free breakfast, friendly staff, with spacious rooms. This hotel is minutes away from Shiodome station and a 10 min walk from Shimbashi station. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

large comfortable room. good price. location near shimbashi, tsukiji and ginza. walking distance to multiple train lines very convenient, would be helpful if hotel can publishes the walking directions from train stations. google map does not cover the easy underground and overpass routes.

The workers were really nice and welcoming. It was our first japan trip and they help made it better by having comfortable cleanliness room. Our room wasn't big but it wasn't small either. The free breakfast was a plus. I love japan and I love the workers here.

The hotel staff and cleanliness were top notch. The staff, at least those at the front desk, spoke enough English. Just keep in mind that when visiting this country it might be best to learn a few words or phrases because it can become very difficult to find someone that can speak English. The hotel was also fairly difficult to find, especially when not used to the pedestrian walkways in Japan. In regards to getting around the city, the hotel was conveniently placed near Shiodome station and not too far from Shimbasi station. It was in walking distance of Tokyo tower which was a good experience, especially if you're a fan of the anime "one piece". The hotel rooms were much bigger than expected, lots of free amenities...heated toilet seats, daily room cleaning, small refrigerator. The fitness room was much smaller than expected, not worth it if that is a necessity during your stay. There was a currency exchange machine in the hotel lobby which proved very convenient. A pocket mi-fi definitely helped during my stay, I don't think that I would have been as successful in finding locations that interested me during my stay, had it not been for that device

Very Comfortable, spacey, and modern hotel. Located about 3 minutes to the closes metro which makes it easy to get around the city. Good value for your money and it came with a free breakfast!

A first class hotel in every area.Beautiful surroundings.Room was large with an excellent view.Very important to us was the laundromat that was a few steps from our room. Hotel was quiet and bed was comfortable.Happy hour every evening at a very inexpensive price.

Wonderful accommodations and service. Highly recommended.

Very good location, helpful staff, excellent breakfast.

Caters to business crowd during the week and holiday crowd on the weekends. Complimentary breakfast is a nice touch. Centrally located near Shiodome station which is fairly small but Shimbashi is a major station and a 12min walk either above or below ground. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Good hotel with good sized rooms for Tokyo. Very convenient to multiple subway and JR stations. A 15 minute walk to the fish market, and a 20 minute walk to Ginza. Hotel offers good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

large room for tokyo, convenient access to train station, nice ammenities

Ginza shopping area is nearby and so are a lot of restaurants. Really nice area to stay at.

I use hotel villa Fontaine chain regularly. They are not luxury but their solid service and amenities will satisfy most basic needs. Simple breakfast. Lobby bar offers happy hour in the evening. Room is equipped by air conditioner so you don't need to worry strange odor, if any. Plus, you get wired ethernet connection as well as wifi in room. This shiodome branch is inside an office building so there is even secured entrance for added security. Transportation to Haneda airport is around 40 mins by subway. Starting shiodome station, Oedo line to Daimon, then asakusa line to shinagawa, change train to Haneda (or just make sure you are on keikyu line before shinagawa station, which is a major hub). Alternatively you can take monorail but will take more walk.

Hotel was in a great location, very modern, but small room. Breakfast was good but same daily variety. Front desk staff had no concierge training and there was no concierge. Staff did not know how to assist with getting reservations to performances, did not know locations of restaraunts and could not direct us to locations on maps of the areas. On check out day we ask for a half hour extension beyond the 11 am deadline and their response was to charge us 20% of a full day stay. They were always polite, but inflexible and with little knowledge of surrounding area restaurants and tourist attractions.

I really enjoyed my stay. Great location and helpful staff.

We really enjoyed stay in this beautiful hotel. It's conveniently situated, ovelooking beautiful Tokyo shore, with easy access to subway station. Breakfast was especially good with the variety of good stuff to pick up for everyone.

Hotel location was excellent but because of the business area we couldn't find the main street when we were first time out. But after we saw everything than we understood location was ok.

Even though it's not in Daiba, like some of the more common exhibition site hotels, the location on the Yurikamome line makes commuting a snap and visits into evening activities easy with convenient subway access inside and plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance - the hotel itself has no bar or restaurant. Up to date room decor and free wired internet access (bring a wifi router if you have to have wireless). I've stayed here twice and would go back again. Didn't stay long enough to take advantage of the massage service to 2 am though...

the hotel was great. very good complimentary breakfast, great location, good staff. [...]
