Nice Hotel, it was a very pleasant stay. We got a very comfortable family room (it was exactly as in the picture on the booking site!), I can suggest it without hesitation. For a family with young children that wants to spent some days in Holland, visiting different places it a very good option. It is very close to the Central Station, and to the Leiden midtown, so you can plan either to stay in Leiden, or to move to other towns by train or by bus. For example, Amsterdam and Delpht can be reached by train in half an hour. We also got a very good rate, but without breakfast, that actually appears to be quite expensive.
Nice hotel in a very good location. You can walk/cycle into the centre of Leiden. Breakfast was nice. Good storage for bikes was available. We stayed one night during a cycling tour of Holland and it met our needs.
We stayed 2 nights here Apr 26-28. Our target was to drive around tulip fields and Visit Keukenhof as early as possible. Hotel is right across the train station and parking available for 12 euros per day. Keukenhof bus comes right across the road. Huge Aldi right near. So convenient in all respects. Room is spacious and comfy. No complaints
Very nice hotel in a great position and a superb selection for breakfast. My only criticism is we were at the front of the hotel and the road noise was very noticeable. We were offered ear plugs but I am surprised that it hasn't invested in secondary double glazing to sound proof the room. I had requested rooms at the back but this was not mentioned when we booked in.
We arrived here from Amsterdam a few minutes before 12pm. We just wanted to drop our bags and then go back to the bus station for the bus to Keukenhof. The reception actually had a room ready for us so we were able to get our keycard and drop the bag in the room. That was nice. We had a big room with a big comfortable sofa. We did not take breakfast in the hotel as we bought crossiants in the local supermarket and next morning we bought a coffee at the starbucks in the train station before we boarded our train back to Amsterdam. My only disappointment is that for a hotel called Tulip Inn, there was almost no tulips in the hotel, whether real or just decorations. It would have been nice to have some tulip decorations, especially during tulip season, as we came specially for the tulips.
It is a very comfortable hotel, really good food and snacks, you can spend the whole night there if you are not willing to go to the city center. Very close to the train station, like 3 minutes walking as well as to the Leiden's center (which has lots of options to eat, drink, buy, etc).
The room is very basic. Didn’t say the room noisy due to the traffic. No amenities in the bathroom. 100 m far away from the central train station . In my opinion the hotel is expensive for what it offers.
Back from a 2 night business stay. Nice and clean with no fancy extras. Great choice for breakfast. Nice friendly staff.. a bit surprising to have to pay for a bottle of water to take to your room. Cheap and cheerful enough overall
At this time of the year the hotel entrance, restaurant and business area are wonderful decorated, a true Christmas spirit. Upon entering I was amazingly surprised by the kind staff. Rooms at the front are provided with coffee/tea facilities and are basic but clean. Bathroom amenities are, according to the note, available upon request. Do note the rooms at the front do not have soundproof windows so you will hear traffic. If you don’t like that I think you have to ask up front if the hotel has soundproof rooms or find yourself another hotel. Since it is winter I could turn on the heating manually, not sure if there is airco for the summer months. Breakfast is not extensive but will do. We had a preserved dinner but a la cart is available. Will stay here again in Jan 2019.
I had a streetside room. The room is spacious but had a column in the middle, which was a bit strange. The open closet was practical. The matras was not too good (I felt the springs). Service is good.
