The room I had in this hotel was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in, with a great bathroom with separate shower. It was very calming with a good amount of space and light. The communal spaces are a bit 'cold' and austere. The location is good with nearby bars and restaurants but a longer walk to some of the sights and a great square with the statue of William of Orange which is surrounded by great outside bars and restaurants.
We used to live down the street along the canal so this was a logical place to choose each time we return for a visit. It is so close to some great shopping streets, very easy to get around. Whether it is via tram, or walking around or arriving by train. I have to thank the front desk for selling us an all day tram ticket, it was very helpful. Also setting up several dinner reservations. The room is very quiet, comfy bed. The executive lunge was pleasant place to snack and have breakfast. Jackie was very helpful to us. We would highly recommend this Hilton.
We arrived in the parking garage. Very small entrance also due to strangely parked vehicles. Garage is nice, clean and the lightning is good. The parking spaces are very small though. The entrance to the hotel from the parking garage is not clear. There is no signing at all. Check in was well rather underwhelming. Elite status was not recognized, nothing was offered pro-actively. I had to ask everything and the employee was not really accommodating. It always surprises me when I’m in the USA, Hilton keeps surprising me in a very positive way (and I mean in every brand; high to low). In the Netherlands I always leave Hilton with mixed feelings. The room was nice. Large enough, very nice bathroom and finally the shower had enough water pressure. All the amenity’s where there. However the carpet had a lot of stains (also throughout the hallways for that matter) The bed was VERY uncomfortable. I’m used to hard beds but this one was like it was made from wood. I think sleeping on the floor is more comfortable. I hardly got any sleep at all. Also due to the room temperature which was to high. The lounge was nice. Nice terrace which would be pleasant in the summer. Good food offerings. Lot of drinks to choice from. Friendly staff. The restaurant was very nice. We had dinner there and the food was very good. The same also applies for the breakfast the next morning. I was impressed that someone accompanied us to explain everything. That’s something you only expect at the Walldorf. I had an sudden appointment and asked for late check out. I know this is not guaranteed but when I called the front desk nothing was really possible. I can understand when your fully booked the next night but they also did not offer to store our bags or maybe waive the afternoon parking fee. The good • Lounge is nice, good food and drink offerings • The location is perfect, very close to the center of town • The restaurant is surprisingly good. The bad • Very hard bed, not comfortable for sleeping • No recognition of elite status • Not accommodating or proactively We did leave with mixed feelings and rather tired due to the lack of sleep.
Short and Sweet. Delightful helpful staff - friendly and smiley without being insincere. Helpful with tourist information. Car valet was dealt with - make full use of this as the prices they charge are better than in the centre of town and gave us peace of mind. Bags quietly transported to room with no fuss. Discreet helpful service - comfortable and relaxed - no pomposity. Beautifully designed decor. Room was lovely with frosted glass and good sleep quality for the most part. Disco/bar went til 1am and was audible three floors up. Spotlessly clean and beds were immaculate. Everything we asked for simple requests - basic extra milk for tea (we are British afterall!) and extra towels were done within five minutes. Useful weather station on the reception desk - a lovely touch. Excellent location for city walks/trams/city centre. Cash machine in shop nearby.
I typically stay at the Hilton, and always find it to be an enjoyable experience from many aspects. The staff is efficient, professional, helpful and pleasant. It's located within easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping as well.
i stayed at the hotel during the busy days of ISE Exhibiton in Amsterdam - i enjoyed the stay, it's a great place, lovely people and delicious breakfast :) though it's a little bit away from the public Tram /bus stop which is a hassle if you have a suitcase or couple to carry with you till the hotel as the pathways are not well even but hotel provides great experience.
My wife and I booked a deluxe room in this hotel to spend a night. The hotel lived up to our expectations. The check in was quick. Friendly staff. The hotel looks modern. It's probably aimed at business people so in weekends the rates are not very expensive. The room is spacious, the bed is excellent and the bathroom is very nice. We had a separate two-person bathtub and a spacious shower. Rooms are very well isolated. No noise at all. The restaurant seems to be fine, but unfortunately we could not get a table as it was fully occupied. There are plenty nice restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel's location is simply great. Really in the city center. Parking at the hotel is expensive. There is a public garage under the hotel, which I believe (not 100 percent sure) is cheaper than the hotel parking service, although it is the same garage. The entrance of the public garage is right next to the hotel. Breakfast is good, but not great for a five star hotel. The buffet area is not very spacious, so it can feel a bit crowded. I believe there is a chef that can prepare a freshly baked egg but you have to ask around for that. The hotel bar is very nice and trendy with a good selection of wines and good service. Really a nice place to spend an hour or two after dinner. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its the value for money, great location and nice room.
Great weekend - great staff but let down by what was offered and never materialised. Location was prefect for walking in to the city and to the beach - that's if you are happy to walk otherwise transport links are easy.
Never been to The Hague before and both the city and the hotel were excellent. Lots to see and do and the Hilton was a great place to come back to and relax in. Would recommend this hotel without any hesitation
I spent three nights and enjoyed everything at the hotel. The room and facilities were great. The location is very lose to the central station and major attractions. I would certainly recommend this hotel for others.
