Best Time to Visit Alabama

Sunny, warm and with an average annual temperature of around 64°F, Alabama is a great spot for a vacation all year round. You may encounter cooler temperatures to the north, and the state park around the Appalachian Mountains sees plenty of snow during the winter. Summers can be very hot with temperatures of up to 90°F, so the shoulder seasons of spring and fall are often better times to visit for cooler temperatures and lower humidity.

Getting Around Alabama

The best way to see Alabama is by car. Car rentals are available at all major points, such as airports. There are six major interstate roads, with the I-65 running north to south and the I-10 east to west. The port of Mobile is a popular cruise stopping point, while airports serve Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and Huntsville.
