Large rooms and hotel lobby as well. A little bit outdated and the hallway on the 1st floor smells a little funny (not nice). Room cleanliness is a 3 star. Had my room windows towards the back street/parking so the night was quiet for a peaceful sleep. Centrally located - around 15 min. Walk from the trainstation with lots of restaurants around.
The location was great right across from the old town. The noise from the restaurant downstairs on warm evenings when windows must be open for air/coolness is unacceptable. Sunday evening I thought there is a noise restriction after 10 pm because it was very quiet at 10 pm. Then the rest of our week that was not true, noise from biergarten/restaurant downstairs was unbearable and the leaving windows closed was not an option. I don't know how we would have stayed here if we had been working. I called the front desk and they said they have no control over the restaurant noise. Staff was helpful in all aspects. Breakfast was not worth the $12.50 Euros. Lots of bakery choices short distance and breakfast buffet at ALEX just across the street were better options for us.
The hotel is located at the intersection of two a bit outdated tram lines and the rooms don't have air conditioning. The last tram is passing a bit after midnight and the first tram is about 4:30. With windows closed it is way too hot. With windows open noise from every tram passing wakes you up. Otherwise, unimpressive service.
I stayed here for one night for business trip, It is located in the centre of the city so quite convenient for any kind of activity. The parking is also available although it is not free. What is astonishing is they have smoking rooms.
I stayed here one night for a business trip. Hotel is close to tram stop and city center. Room was spatious, clean and modern. I was at the back of the hotel, it was very quiet. Breakfast buffet was copious. Very good value for little money.
Comfortable, good size rooms with free wifi BUT went out for day & come back to find 2 x souvenir glasses had disappeared from room. Must have been the cleaner. Reported to reception & if our glasses turn up I will update my review but I don't hold out much hope. They were clearly not hotel glasses as were fancy steins with the name of the Xmas market we had visited & an emblem on the side. They were treasured memories of our time in Germany & we were unable to replace them. I now feel that the rest of my things have been sorted though & maybe other things have gone missing that we've not noticed yet. We had made sure we had our passports & cash on our person at all times as no safe in room. This experience has spoilt what had been a lovely break away. UPDATE - our souvenier glasses did re-appear on the morning we were due to leave. They had mysteriously been put into the cleaners cupboard! I think, waiting to see if we would complaign before taking them home for herself. I had an apology from the Head Housekeeper but no compensation offered. I still won't stay there again as would be paranoid about leaving anything in my room.
Stayed the night Germany got through to semi finals of euro 2016, was going to work summer party. Check in easy and quick, only spent half hour in room, but clean, very hot and no air con. Pretty standard room for hotel of this class. Stayed in a twin with my mate and have to say must be one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Breakfast was obviously continental but plenty of choice and constantly topped up and fresh
This hotel is situated very near to the Old Town and within 3 minutes of the main shopping area. The downside was only the fact that the carpets need renewing as in our room, which was clean the carpets were stained. Also on both nights there was a slight background music from nearby nightclubs But overall it suited our purpose of our visit. We did not sample the breakfast or the parking nor Peppers restaurant next door.
Our group of 30 people stayed here in November 2015. Everything was good. Hotel is very good. Rooms as the hotel and location are very good. I have a lot of doubts as the hotel doesn't have a lot of requests. But I now I don't regret. All members of the group were satisfied. The staff is also very good. Many thanks to hotel staff for patience and answers by email on all my requests.
Had a one night stay here on 20th August, location is ideal for proximity to bars and restaurants, particularly "Peppers" next door which was great. Room was very basic which fits the price range, only major let down was no ironing facilities which can be ideal for Business trips. The bracket for the shower head in my room wasn't tight enough which resulted in having to hold the shower head itself which wasn't ideal. Otherwise a decent stay, the lady on reception was very helpful and I would stop again if in the area on Business.
