Well located Grand Dame in old Palermo. Great roof top restaurant and Bar. Had a large quiet comfortable room. Short walk to good restaurants, grand old Churchrd and neighborhoods, and the port. Would absolutely stay there again. Very good staff throughout hotel. Knowledgeable and attentive. Bravo ...
Everything (location, service, room facility and the breakfast buffet) is excellent at the Mercure Palermo Centro. The only thing I like to comment for all European hotels is the lack of a coffee/hot water maker in the room. Going down to the restaurant or the bar for a small pot of hot water each ...
The modernity of the hotel was as described by previous reviewers. The bedroom and bathroom sizes were large and the best we had in the three large cities we visited: Rome, Naples and Palermo. The check-in was friendly and efficient. As our room was not ready at 11 a.m. (can't blame them), we strolled ...

The rooms are clean and reasonable in size but there are little stairways here and there and you have to wrestle your luggage up or down six or seven streets. Also cabs are not generally permitted to drive to the door so you have to trail your luggage behind you about fifty feet. No porters. The hotel restaurant is ok but not great for the price. So if you're looking for the true luxury experience this is not it but I only look for clean and comfortable so I would stay there again in the unlikely event I were to return to Palermo.
I was very pleased with this hotel. The room was very clean and fresh and the staff was very helpful and courteous
We loved the location not only because the hotel was beautiful but also it was I between the city center and beaches where the wedding festivities we went to were located. I loved the breakfast that was included. The pool was very relaxing and quiet. I am so glad we did not miss the piano music while having a cocktail in the bar when we returned one evening! I wished we stayed here for longer.
Nice private beach. Good for families as it has a pool and a lot of outdoor activities. The decor is very old, tired however. Steps to beach look old and crumbling. Needs a renovation to make it a great hotel. Should have a shuttle to town even if for a fee.
