The. Reakfast spread was both attractive and delicious. Dinner at the restaurant was a total disappointment. Don't eat. There. There are plenty of small restaurants just across the street that. An make any hungry person delight. The room they gave us was very small and the bathroom not only small. But awkward in design. I paid for a nice room according to the website. Not in person. Did not have the energy to complain...

This was once a very grand hotel and is great to stay as long as you are willing to accept that nothing has been updated for many years. The location and aura of the hotel is great, breakfast very good.

Enjoyed stay in Palermo. Professional and friendly staff. English no problem Facility's a classic Great free breakfast in a wonderful setting Nice selection of restaurants near by

The staff were very helpful and made some very good recommendations for eating out and the sights to see. The hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere

Very close to everthing. Our room had balcony with elegant French doors. Breakfast wonderful. Worn a little bit in a grand way. Highly recommend .

Hotel is very grand. Great location and great value. Needs to be refurbished and more staff.

Initially they gave me an quite old rather big room with big a key to open the room door. After walking through the other section of the hotel, we found a newly renovated room. So, please ask them a renovated room when you are check-in. It is bit old story anyhow.

La mantención de las habitaciones y las alfombras deja mucho que desear. Se nota que hace bastante tiempo no hacen una mantención mayor.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The lobby is spectacular Many shops and restaurants nearby The parking fee is very high The internet service is poor

Hotel staff was great, we'd booked a room with two beds but got a room with only one. They gave us another room free of charge. Great location, beautiful hotel, nice staff.

This grande dame of a hotel will transport you back in time. With the brass, red carpets, ornate salons and antiques, you can just imagine the likes of Wagner composing Parsifal here (he did), spies, diplomats and politicians mixing over glasses of Marsala (they did). But fortunately the rooms have been modernized where it counts (the bathrooms). Staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was sumptuous and served in a beautiful, ornate dining room, and location was very convenient just on the edge of the historical district within easy walking distant to sites, restaurants and nice shops. If you are looking for the predictable sameness of a Hilton or a Hyatt, look elsewhere. If you want to stay in a hotel like hotels used to be, you won't be disappointed here.

Very clean and beautiful hotel. Breakfast was amazing, beds were super comfortable. Only problem: No free internet...for the price I would have expected it to be included. I paid 13 Euros for 24hours..

A traditional hotel maintained extremely clean and inviting. Staff is very helpful and nice.

Initially, they gave me a large old fashioned room without proper lighting with a shower without bath tub with 4 star hotel..so we thought it is a quite old hotel but we find out there is another section rooms with mordern rennovation. It is another hotel rooms with bath tub and proper lighting so we asked to change my room to the new section room. Please careful to watch out what kind of room they have initially. It is a really cheating to treat customer.

Pictures of Grand Hotel et Des Palmes are much better than the real thing. It probably had its days of glory many decades ago. Staff is very busy - one person to answer to the telephone and attend the guests at the reception. Wi-fi never works. Although there were three free tables at the restaurant I was told that there wasn't any place available. The location is not nice. Via Roma is decadent, ugly and dirty. If you go to Palermo look for a hotel near the sea so that you can get rid of the oppressive atmosphere of the city.

The hotel was great, the location perfect, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I could have is the room was too warm. Had to sleep with the window open. I would hate to see what it would be like in the Summer. Hope the air conditioning works better in the Summer. Within walking distance to great shopping and sights.

I ENJOYED THE HOTEL, BUT MY STAY IN PALERMO WAS SHORT .

People went out of their way to be cooperative. You could not have asked for better service.

A nicely remodeled and updated hotel in the historic part of downtown Palermo. The staff has basic abilities with English but their English doesn't hold up so well when you start making more complex requests like trying to make travel arrangements (as is frequently the case with hotels in Sicily). Overall a great experience. The Palermo airport is fairly far from the town center and the hotel. The easiest and cheapest way to get to the hotel is to take the bus or train from the airport to the town center and take a taxi to the hotel.
