A friend and I stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel for 6 days over Christmas. The hotel is nice, comfortable and has excellent staff. The room was a decent size and the bathroom had a shower with a bath tub. The buffet breakfast was very well-stocked with mainly Israeli food (so no mixing of meat and dairy), which my friend and I liked very much. There is free wifi as well. The front desk staff even helped us book a tour to the Dead Sea and gave use instructions on the best way to get to Jerusalem. The only issue I had was with some of the other guests. The hotel hosts tour groups, and there were a few teenage tour groups that stayed while we were there. They were fairly loud in both the lobby and on the hotel floors. I guess there's not much the hotel can do about them (they ARE teenagers), but it made for a less optimal experience.
the hotel was very nice and clean!!!! You could walk to lots of open markets and the Mediteranean. The breakfast buffet was very very good! Lots to choose from but don't expect bacon or sausage!!! Everyone was very helpful with setting up tours outside of our group tour.
Surely not a 4 star, but a decent hotel. Well placed (not far from the sea and quite close to city attractions), and still quiet, clean and well fitted. Rooms are small, bathroom even smaller, and beds too. Good restaurant for tourists.
I found it difficult to see this as a 4Star Hotel. The amount of American Student staying there is unbelievable and they are unbeliebably loud and seem to think they own the place. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all buffets and no à la carte option which I would expect for a 4 star hotel. The hotel is very clean, the food though only buffet is excellent and the staff are hard working and super friendly and helpful especially Alexandra and Avivatar at reception. My air con stoped working and without any fuzz they upgraded me to a suite. I would happily stay there again if weren't for the students.
This hotel is past its prime ! Good location 2 blocks from the beach but physical facilities are old and need better upkeep . Rooms are very small, bathroom even smaller, with bare minimum amenities. Lot of noise from adjoining rooms, couldn’t sleep at night. Breakfast buffet is reasonable ! Ok for budget customers but keep expectations reasonable!
Second time for us in the hotel for weekend. The location is perfect-close to everything:the beach, the shops, port of tel-Aviv and Jaffa. The rooms are very small, the shower is tiny, but everything very clean! Meals-Large variety of dishes. Staff-very very friendly and polite! Parking-not so many places, and expensive!!!! Enjoy 😊
The room was average with a smaller than average shower room. Towels above the loo with tissues hidden behind. Water leaked from the shower cubicle. Went in October and disappointingly the swimming pool was closed, though it was a fairly short walk to the beach. Breakfast and evening buffet meal was average too
Hotel very closed to the Beach. Discret room that need a lot of maintenance especially in the bathrooms. Very good breakfast with a lot of choise. Upgrade of the room for raining inside. Nice gest. Very ploiant employees
Small room and very small bathroom. Facilities a bit run down and pool not functioning. Good location. Bad miscommunication with taxi to airport and then management unresponsive to my emails. Breakfast adequate and they had a continental breakfast available for early risers.
I always stay here when I'm in Tel Aviv. The studio rooms are a bit tight for space, but this time I went superior — for the hell of it — and it was terrific. All clean and quiet. The service here is faultless as far as I can tell. Typically for Israel, the breakfasts are excellent and the location gets you to the beach or the main shopping areas in a few minutes.
